In 1975 CBS, the once-powerful network, aired the The Jeffersons– a sitcom about a black family who realized the American dream through husband George\u2019s dry cleaning businesses. The theme song told their story: the Jeffersons were “movin\u2019 on upto that deluxe apartment in the sky…they finally got a piece of the pie.”<\/p>\n

Well, it\u2019s a little over 30 years later now,and another African-American family is doing their best to “move on up” –this time to that deluxe mansion at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue –and they want the pie too.<\/p>\n

Last week, talking with”Joe the Plumber,” Barack Obama let slip his plan to “spread the wealth”; levy high taxes on those who succeed;to fund programs and giveaways to those he deems more deserving –echoes of what his wife, Michelle (My Belle) Obama, said at a campaign stop in April. She said: “The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.”<\/p>\n

Every one of you– out busting your butt everyday to have a shot at the American dream– must understand: If the Obamas move on up to their deluxe apartment in the sky,they are finally going to have a piece of YOUR pie. They want good times for the Obamas,and “just deserts” for you.<\/p>\n

In the words of George the Dry Cleaner: “WEEZIE! That damn tax man is here again!” They\u2019re coming for all of us if they get to the mansion.<\/p>\n
