Nice to have you back. I remember you, I think. Last time you called you were a little put out with me, were you not?

CALLER: Oh, yeah, I was a little put out. I called you in 2006 because I had been trying to get in touch with you and tell you that I was on the ground and things were not looking good and I needed you to know that. And I was pretty frustrated. But I want to tell you now that you’re right. I’m still on the ground, and I see what’s going on. I’m talking to these people. I’m one of the hundreds of nameless faces that you talked about in 2004. We’re the people on the ground working and I can tell you if it weren’t for Sarah Palin we won’t even be doing that, so McCain gets kudos for that one, but I go to the office —

RUSH: Wait just a second here, Kimberly. You gotta refresh people’s memory —

CALLER: Okay.

RUSH: — who may not have heard your call 2006. You called in the last election, the midterms in ’06 and you told me I was wrong about what?

CALLER: I told you that you were wrong, that it was not going to go well, that people are going to the polls and their specific purpose to go to the polls was to vote one party out and the reason why was to teach that party a lesson. Republicans were going to the polls voting Democrat to teach the Republican Party a lesson. It was happening, and on voter Election Day, I cannot tell you, we go to the polls every year and we pass out these voter (dropout) and they’re nonpartisan voter guides and we pass them, because in places where, you know, Democrats are strong, they’ll look at these voter guides, they’ll take them from us because they don’t have Republican on them, didn’t have Bush on them or something like that, and they would take them from us and they would leave voting a candidate that —

RUSH: Wait a minute. Hold it a minute. I’m still a little confused. What was I saying in ’06 that you thought I was wrong about?

CALLER: You were saying that you didn’t think that people were going to go to the election and just vote a party out. You didn’t think they were going to teach them a lesson, you didn’t think —

RUSH: Okay.

CALLER: — people were really going to do that.

RUSH: Okay. So you think I was wrong then, but I’m right about what now?

CALLER: You’re right now that this election is not by any means in the bag, and I don’t know where they’re getting these polls from and who they’re talking to, but I can tell you that I see an energy on the ground like I have never seen, and I said that in 2004. This is beyond comprehension. They have a victory center that they opened in Huber Heights, Ohio, which is just north of Dayton, and it’s run almost completely by homeschoolers. People go there and volunteer all day long, and people have been driving up there from Kentucky to get signs, McCain-Palin signs because they can’t find them, they have a waiting list that’s constantly 20, 30 people long. As soon as they get the signs in, they’re gone. People are buying signs. The other day I went in to pick up some signs they were supposed to hold for me and have given them away, and there was a guy who came in, his wife had designed a sign, it said, ‘I like her,’ with big red lipstick, he was selling them for five dollars. And he came into the office, and the guy said, ‘Well, I’ll buy ten of them and see how they go.’ And I said, ‘I’ll buy four right now’. And he looks back at the guy, and he says, ‘You know what? We may need more.’

RUSH: Okay, okay, why are people so jazzed?

CALLER: They are jazzed because there is — and it’s not because she’s a woman, okay, let’s make it very clear, this isn’t about race and this isn’t about gender. This is about someone who finally has the backbone to stand up and say what we all feel.

RUSH: Okay, so what you’re saying is the difference between ’06 and ’08 is that the Republicans who voted Democrat in ’06 because they were mad at Republicans want to teach them a lesson —

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: — now have somebody on the Republican side they love and can vote for, and it’s Palin?

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: All right. And how much sentiment against Obama is also responsible for motivating these people and their attitude?

CALLER: Well, I would have to say that about two weeks ago I would say not much. But within the last two weeks, especially, I’ll tell you, since Joe the Plumber, things have changed dramatically, and there have been people who have had their eyes opened to exactly what he’s doing. There are two issues that are really driving people right now, especially women and moms, you know, moms who are out there worried about their families —

RUSH: You know, there is something I think to what she’s saying here about the enthusiasm for the Republican ticket this time around, based on the size of the Palin rallies, which is not being reported all that much. In fact, what’s being said about the Palin rallies is all the radicals that are found there and shouting all these insulting things when in fact it’s a reporter making it up or maybe shouting it himself. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if a stupid reporter is the one that made it up and shouted it himself, and that’s how he says truthfully, ‘I heard somebody say it. I said it!’ Democrats are worried about a lot more than they want to let on, as are the Drive-By Media.

It’s interesting, this is from Dayton, Ohio, by the way. This is a swing state, Ohio, and if you’re just tuning in, as you know the secretary of state there, Jennifer Brunner, found that there were 200,000 fraudulent registrations and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals said you’ve got ’til today to verify those for the counties where they’re registered. She said, ‘I don’t have time to do that, this is too big a job,’ and she went to the Supreme Court and they upheld for her. She basically went to the US Supreme Court, said, ‘Let me cheat,’ US Supreme Court said, ‘You go right ahead, you go right ahead and cheat.’ So we got 200,000 registrations that are questionable in Ohio, and I’m sure that’s firing people up, too, is going to fire a lot of people up.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Connie, Springfield, Ohio, you’re next on the EIB Network. Thank you for waiting, and hello.

CALLER: Hello. How are you?

RUSH: Fine. Thank you for asking.

CALLER: I just wanted you to know I started listening to your program two weeks ago. You are a great American.

RUSH: Thank you very much.

CALLER: And I am so upset with what’s happening here in Ohio that I just had to call you. I got on her website and it says: ‘Jennifer Brunner has pledged elections for Ohio that are free, fair, open, and honest. She has made it a top goal to ensure confidence in Ohio’s elections.’ And I want you to know I called her office and I raised holy Cain. I voted for her and I will never, ever, vote for her again. I told Ted Strickland who I voted for, I will not vote for him again, and I am voting complete Republican ticket all the way down. They have really ticked me off.

RUSH: All right, how?

CALLER: And for Joe the Plumber I wish his name was David because he’s going to take down Goliath.

RUSH: (laughing) love that.

CALLER: Listeners out there, we will win, that’s all there is to it. McCain is going to pull this one off.

RUSH: Now, Connie, why are you mad at Jennifer Brunner? I mean you voted for her as secretary of state.

CALLER: Yes I did, and I thought she would do her job, and she’s not. As far as I’m concerned, she should have embraced trying to find all the fraudulent applications. And she’s not.

RUSH: Connie, Connie, when you say she should have embraced it, who the hell do you think was behind it?

CALLER: Well, true.

RUSH: Look, what’s happening in Ohio is John Kerry lost by 118,000 votes. The Democrats were saying, after Ohio in 2004, if he’d have just won 55,000 of those votes, he’d be president.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: Now, they got everybody ginned up on the Diebold voting machines and they were trying to tell everybody that Ohio cheated. Now, Republicans got thrown out because of all this corruption and tax increases on the Republican side and it didn’t help that DeWine was part of Gang of 14 in 2006, so the Democrats have got themselves believing that Republicans only win when they cheat, and Jennifer Brunner and these people — there’s a coordinated effort here with ACORN and all these people in all these states to register fraudulent voters. Here you have 200,000 fraudulent voters, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals says you better verify them, you got ’til Friday. She says, ‘I can’t, I don’t have time.’ Goes to the Supreme Court and basically says, ‘Please, Supreme Court, let me cheat.’ They said, ‘Okay, you can cheat.’

CALLER: That’s right.

RUSH: There is another story, there are six Alabama districts, maybe it’s precincts, six Alabama precincts there are more registered voters than there are voters. What was it, the governor of state of Washington was elected — they had a recount — she demanded a recount in King County, they gave her 138 more votes than there were voters, period.

CALLER: Wow.

RUSH: And that’s how she won. The Democrats, Connie, they don’t trust the electorate anyway. Look at the way Obama has to destroy Joe the Plumber.

CALLER: Yes. Yes. And I think that is so sad, because he is a true honest, hardworking American just trying to make it in this world.

RUSH: Well, they’re trying to discredit him, he doesn’t have any, he’s got leans, he owes money, his real name is Samuel, his middle name is Joe. At least he uses his middle name. We can’t even use Obama’s middle name.

CALLER: Exactly.

RUSH: It’s pedal to the metal time. The Democrats, they’re in trouble, I think they know that Obama is not a slam dunk, never has been, really.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: ACORN’s been at this for 30 years. You want to hear something — now, get this, Connie, while I have you on the phone here. Greta Van Susteren did some amazing work. She posted this on her blog at the Fox News Channel and this directly relates to what you called about, Connie. ‘The Secretary of State of Ohio Jennifer Brunner filed a request in the Supreme Court relating to the underlying claim in her state that there has been voter registration fraud…with ties to the work of ACORN in registering voters. A group — the Service Employees International Union [SEIU] — filed an amicus brief in the United States Supreme Court asking the Supreme Court to rule with the Secretary of State of Ohio (and essentially asking for a ruling that would be favorable to ACORN in that it would ‘call off the dogs.’)’ Supreme Court has since done so. Greta says, ‘I thought it curious that SEIU would file an amicus brief for Brunner and did some quick research …and now I need more in-depth research (which is where YOU come in.) According to my quick research..the same person who started ACORN, started SEIU. His name is Wade Rathke. So then I wondered, who is Wade Rathke?’

Well, Wade Rathke has a brother who embezzled a million dollars from ACORN, and the ACORN gang is having their annual meeting in New Orleans this weekend where they’re going to address this. So Greta did some more quick research and she found that ‘Rathke was a member of the anti-war group SDS. This is where YOU come in again. If you know 60’s history, you know that the Weather Underground was an offshoot of SDS. There was some disagreement in the late ’60s and members of the SDS — Bill Ayers and his wife — left and formed/ joined the Weather Underground. So now I am wondering: do Rathke and Ayers know each other (from SDS / Weather Underground days)? what is the connection now, if any, between them? between ACORN and SEIU? between them and Senator Obama?’

There might be no connection, but you get all these radical leftists that are inexorably tied back to the sixties, and here they are coming of age finally, they’ve found a front man in Obama, to put all this stuff into play. ACORN working, Ayers working, all to promote Obama, and you’ve got the secretary of state of Ohio, Jennifer Brunner, figuratively speaking, in bed with them. The radicals are trying to take over. They know they can’t do it fairly at the ballot box. That’s the key. Connie, thanks much.

RUSH: Kimberly in Dayton, Ohio. Nice to have you back. I remember you, I think.
