RUSH: All right. You remember Christine Blasey Ford. Remember her testimony, the Brett Kavanaugh sexual harassment rape train trial, which were his confirmation hearings, Supreme Court nomination. You remember Dr. Ford. (impression) “I have, uh, uh, terrified. I, uh, 70 — I don\u2019t know — years ago. Touched me.”<\/p>\n

Anyway, remember how she didn\u2019t want to go public. And then somebody on Feinstein\u2019s team leaked all of this. Feinstein is denying it, of course, after being asked about it during the hearings, turning to her staff, “Did we leak this?” Staff said, “No.” “Okay. No, we didn\u2019t leak it.”<\/p>\n
Remember how they told us that this was going to destroy Blasey Ford\u2019s life? Do you remember all of this? “This poor woman is simply trying to serve her country and look what\u2019s happening. She\u2019s being destroyed. Her past is being dredged up. She\u2019s gonna have a stigma attached.\u201d<\/p>\n
Well, guess what, folks? Dr. Christine Blasey Ford has just been named by TIME magazine as one of the most 100 influential people in the world. TIME magazine revealed today that Blasey Ford, who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, is featured in TIME\u2019s annual list. There was no evidence, no evidence. Nobody had any corroborating evidence.<\/p>\n
The people she claimed knew and could verify didn\u2019t know what she was talking about. The woman was used in a blatantly vile political attempt to destroy the life, the career, and the future of Brett Kavanaugh, and she failed. And for this she\u2019s named one of the 100 most influential — what have I always said about the left? Failure is how you enhance your resume.<\/p>\n
The woman failed. She failed to take Kavanaugh out. That was her sole purpose. That\u2019s the only reason she came forward. And she failed. Kavanaugh is on the court! How is she influential? \u201cWell, she determined a news narrative that went solid for 30 days, Mr. Limbaugh. That\u2019s influential!\u201d<\/p>\n
It wasn\u2019t her. It was her story. It could have been Christine Wimpy Ford from a different university that came forward. It\u2019s not her. It was anybody with the allegation that the media was gonna make a hero. She failed! And yet she\u2019s on the list of 100 most influential, TIME\u2019s list. I think half the reason that they put people on this list is for their big black tie soiree that they have. It\u2019s one way to get people to show up who otherwise wouldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I was on the list once. I\u2019m sure one year TIME magazine wasn\u2019t thinking. I think I\u2019ve been on the list twice, but I\u2019ve never gone to the party. There is no way I was ever.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Hey, your story about that TIME magazine on Christine Blasey. You know what? I think the way the Dems look at it is the bigger the lie, the more influence you have.\u00a0 I mean, she took a man\u2019s life and completely destroyed it.\u00a0 And, you know, like you said: People that were supposed to back her story up couldn\u2019t even back it up, and that\u2019s influence?\u00a0 Well, if that\u2019s influence, I don\u2019t want to be influenced by a person like that.<\/p>\n
RUSH:\u00a0 Well, you\u2019re right.\u00a0 It\u2019s a perverted view of influence.\u00a0 They tried to destroy his life, and they failed at that.\u00a0 He\u2019s on the court.\u00a0 The objective was to keep him off the court.\u00a0 They were willing to destroy his life to do that.\u00a0 They failed in the objective.\u00a0 She failed in the objective.\u00a0 But because she gave them a news narrative for two months, I guess she\u2019s influential.<\/p>\n
CALLER:\u00a0 If the president called you if you were an attorney and said, “Rush, would you like to be a Supreme Court justice?” what would your answer be?\u00a0 I mean, would you want to go through something like that?<\/p>\n
RUSH: \u00a0Well, I already have a lot of experience with media anal exams.\u00a0 I could take it. But I wouldn\u2019t want to put everybody else in my immediate surroundings through it.<\/p>\n
CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 That\u2019s the thing.\u00a0 Going back to your high school and college buddies to ask what Rush Limbaugh did? I mean, I wouldn\u2019t want anyone to do that with me.\u00a0 We all make mistakes in our past.<\/p>\n
RUSH:\u00a0 Well, that\u2019s what I was saying yesterday.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Nobody is clean and pure. Nobody\u2019s got their act together. There isn\u2019t a person out there that hasn\u2019t done things they hope nobody finds out about.<\/p>\n

Not Americans, people.\u00a0 So how must they define “influence”?\u00a0 There cannot be a component of it that requires success.\u00a0 Otherwise she would not qualify.\u00a0 But yet she did.\u00a0 So I think, in part, they put her on the list as an attaboy or an attagirl.\u00a0 “Way to go! She tried.\u00a0 She gave it everything she had.<\/p>\n
“She made up as many things as she could.\u00a0 She was as believable as she could possibly muster, that little uptick-type of speaking pattern that sounds vulnerable, valley girlish.\u00a0 She didn\u2019t quite pull it off, but she almost did!” So maybe the influence is for the effort, for trying.\u00a0 Remember, folks, it is… (sigh) We say this and it sounds funny, but you do enhance your resume in the Democrat Party and the left by failing.\u00a0 Look at Beto O\u2019Rourke!\u00a0 Beto O\u2019Rourke biggest achievement is losing a Senate race, and it has launched a can\u2019t-miss presidential campaign.<\/p>\n

But today, what we\u2019re seeing is the left is literally participating in manufacturing reality TV for us. As you probably already know, reality TV is one of the most scripted, propped, set shows there are.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. But it\u2019s made to look like it\u2019s real, and that\u2019s what the left is doing. They\u2019re presenting the reality of what\u2019s in their mind, which isn\u2019t reality, putting it on the TV every day and trying to get us to believe that what they think and understand is what\u2019s really going on.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Right. And they trying to make sure that everybody thinks this is the majority of thinking in America that\u2019s being represented in this story or that story. No, you\u2019ve nailed it. You\u2019re exactly right about this.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, here\u2019s my first exhibit, though, Rush, is the most influential people. How many times a day do we turn on CNN or NBC — which I don\u2019t very often, but your hired staff does — and we hear about how Blasey Ford has said this about an issue other that about an issue or is making waves? We don\u2019t. What we hear about is how Rush spoke out on this and Rush spoke out on that or how Donald Trump tweeted this or Donald Trump tweeted that. If that most influential list of real, you and the president, sir, would be tied for number one, K?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I\u2019m serious, and anyone listening to this program today knows it, Rush. You are influential, and nobody cares what Blasey Ford thinks.<\/p>\n
