RUSH: Now the complaint about my shirt. I was not trying to delay this. I just wanted to make sure I reported to you the substance. There are people who watch the program here on the Dittocam who say that they are very upset that I am wearing golf shirts manufactured by Nike because of the Kaepernick situation.<\/p>\n

And when I first heard about that, “Are you serious?” I first heard about the complaints from people at the Rush Limbaugh Store who are monitoring these kinds of customer service comments that we get.<\/p>\n

I said, “They are serious about it?”<\/p>\n

“Oh, yeah, and they keep growing. These people are really worried, Rush, they\u2019re really offended you\u2019re wearing this stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

I said, \u201cDid you tell \u2019em that I bought the shirts long before \u2013”<\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter, Rush, it doesn\u2019t matter, you gotta get some new shirts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Folks, I like these shirts. They fit comfortably. I\u2019ve got two of each color so I don\u2019t have to worry about the laundry. I\u2019ve got it handled so this stuff is not a distraction. Clothes, clothes shopping, all that stuff is a distraction to me. You know, what watch band I gotta wear to coordinate with the shirt every day, those are the kind of distractions I\u2019d rather not have.<\/p>\n

And to have to go out there and get a whole new wardrobe of shirts just because some people don\u2019t like the Nike swish on my shirt? It\u2019s just a distraction. But I guess I\u2019m gonna have to listen to it. I can\u2019t sit here and, for example, say, “Folks, for those of you offended by the Nike swish on my shirt, I want you to know I bought the shirts long before the Kaepernick scandal even happened.” Which is all true, by the way.<\/p>\n

Do you remember the name Michael Caputo? I want to get back into this business, I want to go back to the spying. I want to get into the practical application of spying. (interruption) Nobody\u2019s threatening a boycott. What are you talking about? Nobody\u2019s used the word “boycott.”<\/p>\n

No, it\u2019s not.\u00a0 They just don\u2019t want me to wear them because of the swish right there, see? The Nike swish, right there. They don\u2019t want that. But nobody is suggesting that I boycott. Now you think it\u2019s an implied boycott. If I can\u2019t wear the shirts, they\u2019re asking me to boycott the stuff.\u00a0 Ah, maybe.\u00a0 But I don\u2019t do boycotts.\u00a0 So you\u2019re telling me that\u2019s my out here? I don\u2019t do boycotts and all that?\u00a0 I really… I had a tough time believing that it was that many complaints, and every time.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m told about this two or three times a week, “Rush, people are continuing…” Now that I\u2019ve mentioned it, they\u2019re gonna get overwhelmed with complaints now.\u00a0 That\u2019s the downside. (chuckling) Well, I was thinking about that.\u00a0 You know, getting a small EIB patch to put on top of the logo here, have it sewn on each of the shirts.\u00a0 ‘Cause, folks, I\u2019ve got a lot of these things.\u00a0 I play a lot of golf, and as I say, sometimes I\u2019ve got four of each color in certain colors so I never have to worry about the laundry or dry cleaning or any of that. \u00a0It\u2019s a system I\u2019ve got.\u00a0 ‘Cause I try to get rid of as many distractions in my day as I can so that all I have to do is focus on this 24\/7.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
