RUSH:\u00a0 Well, things keep happening here before I get to my questions for Hillary and Obama<\/a>.\u00a0 I was just advised that CNN just recently fact-checked me in some assertions I made about the attorney general, William Barr<\/a>.\u00a0 This was just moments ago, John King on CNN.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

KING:\u00a0 It also, though, has raised the expectations — this could be a trap down the road for the attorney general — of the president\u2019s allies.\u00a0 Listen to Rush Limbaugh saying: He said spying.\u00a0 Amen!<\/p>\n

RUSH ARCHIVE:\u00a0 He knows there was spying.\u00a0 He knows who the spies were.\u00a0 He knows the informants that were implanted into the Trump campaign.\u00a0 We finally got the guy who is gonna dig into this.\u00a0 He understands exactly what happened here, as we all do.\u00a0 This is just the first time it has been officially explained.<\/p>\n

COLLINS:\u00a0 That is not what (giggles) Bill Barr said —<\/p>\n

KING: Heh, heh, heh.<\/p>\n

COLLINS: — just to make that clear for anyone who wasn\u2019t watching the testimony yesterday.\u00a0 But when he was asked, does he have evidence that spying occurred… ‘Cause he said, “I do think spying did occur.” He said he didn\u2019t have any evidence he could cite right now.\u00a0 So he\u2019s going to look into this, and then he later backpedaled some, saying he just wanted to make sure there was no improper surveillance.\u00a0 He wasn\u2019t launching an investigation of the entire FBI.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Right. (sigh) Well, that\u2019s just to throw you people off.\u00a0 Of course, he\u2019s not gonna come out and tell you, because you\u2019re part of it.\u00a0 But we know what an investigation into whether or not the Trump campaign was spied on means.\u00a0 That was Kaitlan Collins, by the way, the infobabe there. (impression) “We know what it means.\u00a0 Barr doesn\u2019t have to say it. We know what it means.\u00a0 That\u2019s not what Barr said!\u00a0 Just so everybody knows, just so everybody knows, that\u2019s not what Barr said — and then Barr, Barr even walked it back.\u00a0 He said he wasn\u2019t even launching an investigation the entire FBI.”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

No.\u00a0 We never said he was.\u00a0 We\u2019re talking about the FBI leadership.\u00a0 It\u2019s about eight or nine people there.\u00a0 Not the whole FBI.\u00a0 That\u2019s one of the problems of what these people did! They besmirched and impugned the entire FBI with this.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: I got a note from somebody about the sound bite we played moments ago with CNN fact-checking me.<\/p>\n

“Mr. Limbaugh, I think CNN is fact-checking you to keep their dwindling audience from jumping out of windows. They sound like they\u2019re trying to calm people down who might be hysterical about spying.”<\/p>\n

I think that\u2019s probably relevant. I think it\u2019s probably a good observation. Look, these people, you could see it on their faces yesterday. I tried to make the point in the last hour yesterday, you could see — it\u2019s hard to describe. For two years these people were arrogantly confident that they were gonna get Trump. It might take \u2019em a year, two years, four years, but they were gonna do it.<\/p>\n

And Mueller was gonna do it. And if Mueller didn\u2019t do it, they were gonna find a way in the media. But they were gonna get this done. And then with Barr simply, casually almost, asserting — in fact being prodded to admit this in questioning, \u201cYeah, I think that there was some spying on the campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

If you put this in a football game connotation, that\u2019s one of the biggest fumbles in the history of the game. That fumble was recovered by us. We have immediately gone on offense, our side has. They have been on offense. They\u2019ve had the ball. They\u2019ve been the New England Patriots for two years and counting. And yesterday they lost the ball. And you could just see it on their faces.<\/p>\n

And they spent the rest of the day yesterday trying to assure themselves and everybody else, their viewers, that everything was gonna be okay. But it was unmistakable. They knew that the jig was up and it was gonna be time to circle the wagons and try to salvage something. I mean, losing the narrative in a matter of seconds is what it was.<\/p>\n

Now I think anybody that\u2019s attempting, like I was yesterday and today, to properly characterize what this upcoming investigation and what it could potentially reveal and lead to, criminal prosecutions, criminal convictions, these people know. Now, the media is not gonna be charged with anything, but they were in on it. They were complicit.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the kind of thing that in the past they would have exposed! And if this had been a Republican-run operation, they would have exposed it. But they were complicit in this because they are no longer, never have been, objective. But you could just see, they knew they were gonna lose the game. And for two years they\u2019d already thought they had won it. And so now they\u2019re doing everything they can to make sure their audiences continue to have some kind of fake news to digest.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 It\u2019s a shame.\u00a0 It\u2019s a shame.\u00a0 Our first call was all lined up, a woman from Naples. Is that where she was from?\u00a0 And she was indignant. She was righteously indignant out there that I referred to female news people as “infobabes” and that I don\u2019t refer to male news people as “infodudes.”\u00a0 She wanted to know why, and she wanted to be offended. Well, she was offended, or maybe she wanted me to talk her out of being offended. What was her gambit? Did…? (interruption) Wait a minute.\u00a0 She loved me until then?\u00a0 (interruption)<\/p>\n

But I\u2019ve been calling female infobabes “infobabes” for 25 years, maybe even longer.\u00a0 I mean, Joe Biden\u2019s been touching people for 25, try 50 years.\u00a0 Biden\u2019s been… By the way, I now pose… I had a golf weekend, and a woman (not an infobabe, a woman) wanted a photo with me. So I took a photo standing beside her, and people are snapping away at their phones. Ching! Ching! Ching! I said, “Okay, one more, one more.” I stood behind her, I put my hands on her shoulders, and I put my head right next to her.<\/p>\n

Everybody started shouting, “It\u2019s a Biden!\u00a0 It\u2019s a Biden!”\u00a0 (laughing) Everybody wanted to get in the picture doing a Biden!\u00a0 And the woman went along with it.\u00a0 She loved it!\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 It\u2019s funny.\u00a0 Biden has been doing his kind of stuff for all these years.\u00a0 But infobabes? Look, this is the reason I wanted to talk to her about it.\u00a0 I wanted to explore the depths of her being offended.\u00a0 I wanted to find out what the real roots of it were, but Mr. Snerdley said, “I guess she ran out of message units and her connection was killed.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
