CALLER: Well, I\u2019m calling today because something outraged me on the way to work. Andrew Cuomo\u2019s salary\u2019s going up to a quarter million dollars, making him the highest state governor in the nation when he\u2019s touting that New York state\u2019s in a financial crisis. And what really adds on to that is Trump was recently hammered for supposedly looking to cut funding for the Special Olympics. And New York state just took away 50 grand from them to put in his pocket. So I know you spoke about hypocrisy. I don\u2019t get tired of calling them out on it. But —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but don\u2019t you get tired of it never sticking to \u2019em? It never sticks to them.<\/p>\n
CALLER: What\u2019s right is right, Rush. We got keep up the good fight.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, I don\u2019t disagree. I\u2019m not saying don\u2019t mention it, I\u2019m just saying temper your expectations of outrage that it\u2019s gonna cause. The Democrats are not gonna turn Andrew Cuomo out, and if they do it\u2019s gonna be for another Democrat.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Unfortunately, you\u2019re right. And you know, in this state, 13 out of 60 something counties wins these elections for these Democrats over and over again.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah, yeah, yeah.<\/p>\n
CALLER: If there\u2019s any example of the Electoral College and what it\u2019s needed for, take a look at New York. Most of the state is red.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, a large part of is. It\u2019s the same way with the country. Most of the country, 85% — you ready for this one? — 85%, maybe more, of the square footage or mileage of this country is red. But the population centers, the urban areas are blue. As you say, it\u2019s a great illustration of the validity of the Electoral College.<\/p>\n
Anyway, Frank, I appreciate your call. I hadn\u2019t heard that Cuomo cut 50 grand from Special Olympics and it ended up in his pocket. I mean, it probably didn\u2019t directly go there, but why would you cut the Special Olympics? \u201cWell, because we don\u2019t have the money, Mr. Limbaugh.\u201d Ohhh.
