We\u2019ve got the audio sound bites, we\u2019ll have \u2019em in the monologue segment of the next hour, and they make me look like a genius in my predictions of what the left and the Never Trumpers are gonna do with this report. You\u2019ll see. You\u2019ll hear coming up.<\/p>\n
BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n
RUSH: Now to James Comey. James Comey was on CNN an hour ago, sat down there for an interview with Christiane Amanpour. And he was being queried about the Mueller report, what ought to happen to it, what it says, what it means, and all of that.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And as you listen to his answers to her preguntas, you will undoubtedly see how pretty much everything I\u2019ve warned about and predicted here has become manifestly obvious with his answers.<\/p>\n
First question. “Director Comey, what is your perspective, do you have confidence that enough of the Mueller report will come out to satisfy everybody who wants to see it?”<\/p>\n
So this question is, “So, former Director Comey, do you think they\u2019re still hiding things or do you think we\u2019re gonna see the dirt? Because we all know there\u2019s dirt in there, we all know that Trump is corrupt. Are we going to see it and everybody who wants to see it, will they be satisfied?”<\/p>\n
COMEY: Those are reasonable concerns for Democrats to have, but Bill Barr, our attorney general, deserves the benefit of the doubt. Give him a chance to show us what he feels like he can\u2019t show us. I have to imagine that former director Mueller wrote the report with an eye towards it being public some day, so I can\u2019t imagine a lot needs to be cut off of it, but let\u2019s wait and see. The attorney general deserves that chance<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yes, of course he deserves a chance until we figure out he\u2019s with Trump and then after that all of his chances expire. And of course my good buddy Bob Mueller wrote the report with an eye toward it being public. Hell\u2019s bells he did. You are damn straight. That\u2019s why it\u2019s not gonna be pretty. “I can\u2019t imagine that a lot needs to be cut out of it. I think we could see pretty much all of it.”<\/p>\n
Next question from Christiane Amanpour. “Many, including the president, have called this for a long time a witch hunt, a hoax. To those of his supporters who might say, \u2018Look, it amounted to a hill of beans. This never should have happened,\u2019 what is your answer that?\u201d<\/p>\n
COMEY: Take a look in the mirror and ask what happened to Bob Mueller and the FBI being corrupt and evil and a nest of deep state traitors that they reached a conclusion that the president\u2019s the happy with. Just don\u2019t move from that. Your president tried to burn down the Department of Justice, but second you have fired all of us if we didn\u2019t investigate what we learned in the summer of 2016. When we got smoke, not fire, but smoke that Americans might have assisted the Russian effort, we had to investigate that, and no serious person could think otherwise.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, man, folks, to unpack this, this has got so much of the BS in it. First off, \u201cTake a look in the mirror. What happened to Bob Mueller and the FBI being corrupt to ” So he\u2019s saying here, “All you people that thought Mueller had all this get Trump aspect and all these anti-Trump, pro-Hillary people there, how in the world could we get a report that gives a report that no collusion happened?”<\/p>\n
Well, that\u2019s not just what we got. We got a report with the inconclusion on obstruction. We got a report that is now said to have all kinds of things hidden in it that Trump doesn\u2019t want to be seen. This has been so well crafted and done on the part of these people. There never was any evidence of collusion!<\/p>\n
And this business of your president tried to burn down the Department of Justice, but second, you\u2019d have fired us if we didn\u2019t investigate what we learned in the summer of 2016. This is so full of it. He is still maintaining that the FBI was minding its own business one day and then a Trump foreign policy guy, George Papadopoulos, happened to tell the ambassador from Australia that the Russians had 30,000 emails.<\/p>\n
They still maintain — they\u2019re trying to maintain that that\u2019s when this investigation began. And they\u2019ve got a bunch of fact-checkers that have backed them up on this. That is no way true. This is Comey\u2019s way of saying the dossier had nothing — the dossier was all they had. That was it. Nothing more ever.<\/p>\n
There was never any evidence of collusion. They were trying to implant spies in the Trump campaign. Stefan Halper was one of them who tried to get hired as a foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign. Thankfully didn\u2019t get hired. That was a stroke of luck.<\/p>\n
But this investigation began even before the summer of 2016. But there is still some argument about it, which is why all of this stuff needs to be declassified. We need to find out exactly who decided to do what, when. There are some people that make the case that this project actually began in 2015, the project to keep Trump away, as far as away as possible from the Oval Office in Washington, D.C., by denying him the nomination and then screwing around with the transition and then trying to mess with his presidency as well.<\/p>\n
But this idea that they were sitting around one day and all of a sudden news came in that the Russians were colluding, what is this? The hacking of the DNC server? Is that what he\u2019s talking about? We don\u2019t know to this day that the DNC server was hacked. They never let the FBI examine it! We don\u2019t know that it was hacked! We don\u2019t know that it was an inside job.<\/p>\n
“But, Rush, but, Rush, the Podesta emails.\u201d The Podesta emails were because he got hacked — he didn\u2019t even get hacked. It was a phishing attack. Whatever happened to the DNC server is not why Podesta\u2019s emails ended up being public. That answer there is so loaded.<\/p>\n
And I\u2019ll tell you, virtually everybody in the Washington establishment, most of the Drive-By Media believe this version of things. That the investigation began in July when Papadopoulos told the Australian ambassador that the Russians had 30,000 emails. How did Papadopoulos know it? The FBI hired people to tell him.<\/p>\n
BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n
RUSH: Christiane Amanpour — ahem — to Comey. “You had many, many commentators, former administration officials basically accusing the president of being a Russian spy asset. Now that you\u2019ve seen the little that you\u2019ve seen, Mr. Comey, is it an important thing that America can see that so far the evidence suggests, according to Mueller, that there was not a crime of collusion and conspiracy committed or at least not enough to establish that?”<\/p>\n
COMEY: There\u2019s two separate pieces to my reaction to that. The first is yes, it\u2019s a very good thing that the special counsel appears to have concluded there isn\u2019t sufficient evidence to establish that any Americans were part of this effort. That should be good news to you as an American citizen.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Okay. So it ought to be great news that Trump\u2019s not a Russian spy. But number 25.<\/p>\n

COMEY: As I understood his mandate it was – was there, what do you know about the Russian interference in 2016 and whether the Americans were involved? I don\u2019t think he looked at the question about is there something about this president\u2019s finances or personal affairs or something that creates a situation where he\u2019s reluctant to criticize Russia? I don\u2019t think that was his mandate. I don\u2019t know the answer to that question.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Stop the tape. He\u2019s not reluctant to criticize Russia and he\u2019s not reluctant to do things that are against Russia\u2019s interests. But you see, “Well, I\u2019m very satisfied, we should all be very happy that Trump is not a Russian spy. But I don\u2019t think that Mueller looked at the question about is there something about the president\u2019s finances or personal affairs that creates a situation where the Russians could blackmail him.\u201d<\/p>\n
See? Mueller didn\u2019t address whether Trump can be blackmailed. Mueller didn\u2019t find out when Trump\u2019s finances are in any way related to Russia. So you see, because Mueller didn\u2019t say it, it is entirely possible that it happened. This is why I say this stuff is never gonna end. They don\u2019t want it to end, and for every admission they can make that Trump\u2019s not a spy, that Trump is not a Russia agent or asset, but there\u2019s nothing in there that says the Russians don\u2019t have something on him because the special counsel may not have looked into that.<\/p>\n
Well, why the hell not? The guy was looking at stuff for two years. He had an open-ended mandate. He could go out and hunt for a crime wherever he wanted to find one. Why didn\u2019t he? This is not a hoax. It\u2019s a scandal. And it is the largest I have ever seen my lifetime in politics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
