This is comical. I\u2019m watching the Drive-Bys here during the break. Do you know what the big topic on MSNBC right now is? Bush\u2019s speech tonight on the economy, nine o\u2019clock. I\u2019m not going to tell you what he\u2019s going to say, but I know what he\u2019s going to say. They brought in the big gun anchors at two o\u2019clock in the afternoon to do a seven-hour pregame show on the president\u2019s nine o\u2019clock speech. And you know what the big topic is? Executive pay. &#8216;He better make sure that he cuts executive pay.\u2019 Rome is burning and they\u2019re worried about executive pay. Typical leftists. The only thing funny about this is the executives they\u2019re talking about are also leftists. They\u2019re also liberal Democrats. Greetings, welcome back, Rush Limbaugh, the EIB Network. Executive pay? Where\u2019s that going to stop? Executive pay, then they\u2019re going to get to your pay. Executive pay? You better call Frank Raines in there and you better get Jim Johnson in there. Executive pay? Oh, I know it\u2019s popular, it\u2019s class envy. I\u2019m not saying yeah they should get their golden parachutes and everything when they fail, don\u2019t misunderstand here. Executive pay\u2019s got nothing to do with this. This is a government problem. The capitalist system did not do this. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125113.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"192\" height=\"224\" class=\"alignright\"\/>Warren Buffett\u2019s showing the way out of this. He got a sweetheart deal but he\u2019s a capitalist in a China shop here. Warren Buffett\u2019s not relying on the government, is he? He saw an opportunity, a buy opportunity, he went in there, negotiated a deal with Goldman Sachs, you and I can\u2019t get it, but he did because of the amount of money he can give them. So what? It\u2019s capitalism. It\u2019s the way it works. It is not the government. Warren Buffett did not send Chris Dodd in to negotiate the deal for him. Warren Buffett did not call Barney Frank and say, &#8216;Hey, can you help me out at Goldman Sachs?\u2019 He didn\u2019t call Hank Paulson. He didn\u2019t call Corzine, who used to work there, didn\u2019t call Rubin. He called whoever\u2019s running the show now. They just sucked it up, said, &#8216;Yeah, $5 billion, here, what do you want for it? Take whatever you want for it.\u2019 Executive pay? For crying out loud. See, I intended to start this hour with audio sound bites. This is what I meant. I keep getting ganged up on here by idiots in the news. I feel the need to comment on it. Well, let me just continue in this vein for a quick minute here because the problem with Democrats running Congress is that they can\u2019t let the light of day in on their greed and their rip-off of the American taxpayer. <\/p>\n<p>If we\u2019re going to start going after greed, this class envy stuff, let\u2019s take it right where it\u2019s originating and that\u2019s Democrats in Congress. There ought to be no bill, no bailout that allows the inherently flawed dynamic of Democrats breaking this stuff to fix it. Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, they have to step down or recuse themselves from voting on this legislation. This is a scandal. This is a scandal. It\u2019s not a collapse, it is a scandal, and that\u2019s the way you need to look at it. A scandal of this magnitude, there\u2019s no price to pay? Executive pay, yeah, the evil capitalists, yeah, they\u2019re going to pay. Democrats are trying to see to it that we win a war without heroes. They want to lead America\u2019s greatest economic scandal without any culprits and accountability. This is a huge scandal. And you watch, before this is all over, the Democrats are going to have to punish somebody in order to change the topic, and it\u2019s going to be a great CYA maneuver that they make. Anything that\u2019s done to punish the wealthiest Americans or the most successful corporations is going to hurt this country. They are the job creators. <\/p>\n<p>If Democrats drag their feet on a plan, any plan for the purpose of letting the market slide so as to help Obama, then there\u2019s going to be damage to the little guy and that\u2019s always what happens with Democrat plans to help the little guy, it\u2019s the little guy that ends up getting the shaft.
