The most important way to make a difference in the outcome is to activate yourself. It would be just fine with McCain if Obama supporters&#8230;sleep in and stay home between now and Election Day.&#8221; Chaplain Higgins then told students that if they canvassed, found other supporters, or volunteered for Lord Obama,a &#8220;sponsor&#8221; in the University\u2019s history department would reward themwith <emphasize>course credits<\/emphasize>.<\/p>\n<p>When questioned about the plan, the University threw the chaplain under the bus&#8211; since his plan violates University policy and might even violate state ethics laws. The chair-babe of the history department, Audrey Alstadt, told AP: &#8220;We do not engage in or sponsor partisan political activity, [and] we certainly do not give academic credit for participation in partisan politics.&#8221; That is a <emphasize>laugh<\/emphasize>;a liberal university&#8211; in the heart of liberal land&#8211; that\u2019s politically neutral!
