It was on Good Morning America today, an exclusive interview with Good Morning America, and the subject of this particular interview was campaign low blows versus standard attack ads. And Mark Mooney, ABC reports, quotes Obama as having said on Good Morning America today, &#8216;If we\u2019re going to ask questions about, you know, who has been promulgating negative ads that are completely unrelated to the issues at hand, I think I win that contest pretty handily.\u2019 ABC follows it up and said, &#8216;What Obama meant is that McCain, not Obama, has put out more negative ads.\u2019 So I\u2019m going to dispatch Cookie to try to find this, but I\u2019ll be interested. If we\u2019re rolling on Good Morning America, we\u2019ve got it. If we have to go to their website, well&#8230; &#8216;If we\u2019re going to ask questions about, you know, who has been promulgating negative ads that are completely unrelated to the issues at hand, I think I win that contest pretty handily.\u2019 So ABC has to cover for him here. Well, what Obama apparently meant was that McCain, not Obama, has put out more negative ads. That\u2019s today\u2019s date, September 15th, 2008. <\/p>\n<p>Oh, yeah, and then there\u2019s the Obama ad on McCain being computer illiterate. Do you know what the sources are for this? The Daily Kos, Mother Jones. The Obama campaign, the Drive-By Media, they get everything they get from the kook fringe base. What we have learned is that McCain\u2019s war injuries prevent him from raising his arm. He cannot use a keyboard. He cannot use a keyboard because of war injuries, and here\u2019s Obama with an ad based on these stupid kook fringe, lunatic sources of his claiming that McCain is computer illiterate. They did this because McCain once said, &#8216;I don\u2019t use the computer much. I have people do that for me.\u2019 Only because he\u2019s got too much honor to say, &#8216;My war injuries prevent me.\u2019 Some news story in 2004 or 2000, I forget which off the top of my head, I\u2019ve got it in the Stack here, did an innocent little story about him independently of his campaign. Might have been the Boston Globe or the Boston Herald, I\u2019m not sure which. But he can\u2019t use a keyboard, that\u2019s why he doesn\u2019t use a computer. Obama is out there with these ads saying that McCain is computer illiterate. <\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: We\u2019ve got it, ladies and gentlemen. We\u2019ve got Obama on Good Morning America today, and he\u2019s denying here in this bite that his ad is intended to attack McCain for being old. Chris Cuomo says, &#8216;Now we see these new ads that come out calling McCain an old man.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125114.Par.4584.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\" class=\"alignright\"\/>OBAMA: Hold on, I didn\u2019t &#8212; I didn\u2019t say that. What I said was &#8212; I mean, let\u2019s be fair, Chris &#8212; what I said was that John McCain is out of touch.<\/p>\n<p>CUOMO: But the ad is a negative ad. You paint him as an old man, say you can\u2019t use a computer, he\u2019s never sent an e-mail, what does that all mean?<\/p>\n<p>OBAMA: What it means is that we\u2019ve got a 21st century economy and John McCain does not have a vision for how to move that forward.<\/p>\n<p>CUOMO: So no apologies for that ad? <\/p>\n<p>OBAMA: If we\u2019re going to ask questions about, you know, who has been promulgating negative ads that are completely unrelated to the issues at hand, I think I win that contest pretty handily. (rimshot)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Hey, Chuck, good to see you, buddy, stand up! Oh, my God, God, what did I say? Love you Chuck, God love you. Everybody stand up for Chuck. So here is Obama, given a chance to say, &#8216;You know what, that ad might be a little unfair because I didn\u2019t know McCain\u2019s war injuries prevented him from using computer. I trusted all that rotgut from Mother Jones and Daily Kos.\u2019 And he won\u2019t apologize. By the way, his surrogates are running around saying McCain\u2019s too old, Claire McCaskill and these other people, we played the audio today. There\u2019s no question. Now, this is a huge gaffe and ABC\u2019s covering it up of course on their website, &#8216;He\u2019s obviously talking about McCain.\u2019 &#8216;If we\u2019re going to ask questions about, you know, who has been promulgating negative ads that are completely unrelated to the issues at hand, I think I win that contest pretty handily.\u2019 He\u2019s just very, very tired. He\u2019s just overworked, every day. <\/p>\n<p>I want to hear Joe Biden, &#8216;Hey Chuck, stand up, out there.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>(playing of Biden\/Chuck sound bite) <\/p>\n<p>We need to roll off this Obama here. We\u2019re not going to let go of this, when he says, oh, no, we\u2019re going to ask questions about, you know, who\u2019s been promulgating negative ads that are completely unrelated to the issues, I think I win that contest pretty handily.
