<\/p>\nRUSH: The Turtle, Mitch McConnell, is gonna follow through on it. He\u2019s gonna bring the Green New Deal up for a vote in the United States Senate. Of course, a number of leftists and Democrats such as AOC are running around mocking what The Turtle is doing. (paraphrased) “It\u2019s just a procedural vote,” she says, and they say that we don\u2019t take this seriously. “He\u2019s just trying to mock us and so forth.” No, no, no, no. Let me tell you what. If they want to put their political futures behind this thing and tie themselves to it, then this is the chance to do it.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a lot of Senate Democrats running for president. And the Green New Deal, they\u2019ve all endorsed it out there. Kamala Harris and Cory Booker and any number of them. So now here it comes up for a vote in the Senate. What are they gonna do? They either have to vote for it, in which case there\u2019s going to be a political price, or they have to vote “no” and try to convince their supporters that it\u2019s a show vote, it has no meaning, and that they\u2019re not gonna be tricked this way. But this is something that leftist radicals believe in as much as they believe in oxygen and blood.<\/p>\n
And any chance to vote on (sobbing) “fixing climate change and saving the planet,” and if they don\u2019t vote for it? So it\u2019s a pretty slick deal by The Turtle. We\u2019ll see how it happens. Speaking of all of this, California is drought-free for the first time in nearly 10 years. The never-ending drought is over! Fantastic news, right? Dire forecasts of permanent drought in California, much like forecasts it would never snow again in New York, are dead wrong. The man-made global warming theories and models: wrong again.<\/p>\n
So we can all acknowledge the mistakes and errors of those who said they knew best, right? Ha-ha-ha. Now, I went back to the archives of great news stories in the past. I have a piece here from the Los Angeles Times back on December 5th, 2017. I mean, this is basically a year and a half ago. Headline: “Climate Scientists See Alarming New Threat to California — California could be hit with significantly more dangerous and more frequent droughts in the near future as changes in weather patterns triggered by global warming block rainfall from reaching the state, according to new research led by scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.<\/p>\n
“Using complex new modeling, the scientists have found that rapidly melting Arctic sea ice now threatens to diminish precipitation over California by as much as 15% within 20 to 30 years.” Always 20 to 30 years out. Always. “Such a change would have profound economic impacts in a state where the most recent drought drained several billion dollars out of the economy, severely stressed infrastructure and highlighted how even the state most proactively confronting global warming is not prepared for its fallout.”<\/p>\n

What a paragraph. Perpetual, never-ending drought, according to the latest computer models at Lawrence Livermore — which, by the way, one of the fathers of the atom bomb was in residence there, Edward Teller. I mean, this is not an insignificant place. This has some big brainiacs on the scientific staff out there, and here they are running around. Once again, it\u2019s computer models. No data, no empirical data, computer models once again predicting something 20 to 30 years out. Never-ending drought. Melting Arctic sea ice is going to somehow magically eliminate precipitation.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, California has been flooded (laughing) since this prediction was made. It\u2019s been so flooded, there has been so much snow that there is no drought. Now, in a real world, every one of these scientists would have just been shamed into hiding from the public, and somebody somewhere would be demanding that they explain themselves! People believe this garbage they put out! You tell the people of California there\u2019s a perpetual drought coming, there\u2019s no end in site, and you\u2019re gonna cause some people to leave the state.<\/p>\n
You\u2019re gonna have untold economic impact on this with this silly-ass prediction, and now it\u2019s Emily Litella. “Never mind!”<\/a> Never mind a year and a half later.<\/p>\n
