Welcome to the EIB Network.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Thanks, Rush, for taking my call.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: My family\u2019s really enjoyed watching the Olympics over the last couple weeks, especially with the gold medal performances by the Americans and then watching them run around with flags draped around them. I just can\u2019t imagine why anybody would want to follow that up with watching the Democratic National Convention, where you\u2019re going to have whiners, excuse makers and they\u2019re going to celebrate America\u2019s flaws. I can\u2019t imagine that that\u2019s going to go over well with timing right after the Olympic games.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You know, Melanie, this is a clever and shrewd observation of yours. One thing: The Olympics this time around turns out to be the most-watched television show ever, over that length of time.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I don\u2019t think the Democrat convention is (laughing) going to get anywhere near that kind of audience.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right. And I wonder why that is. It\u2019s because people don\u2019t to want celebrate America\u2019s flaws and shortcomings.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, that is totally true, but that\u2019s going to be a stark contrast. But the Democrats don\u2019t think that\u2019s what they\u2019re going to be doing, see?
