It was a combination of a little bit on the prompter; it was some stream of consciousness. And what none of these people who are critics of Trump acknowledge or understand &#8212; like I saw one guy, \u201cDo you realize how much he got wrong? Do you realize all the factual things that were just wrong in that speech, but his audience didn\u2019t care. They really just soaked it all up. But I could fact check that and I could find 10 hundred things that were \u2013&#8221; go on and on like this.<\/p>\n<p>And then they conclude &#8212; there was a guy that writes for Reason which is a Libertarian magazine &#8212; that despite it all, Trump may have actually won the reelection on Saturday with his speech at CPAC. In fact, we have some sound bites from his speech. It might help if I use some of these. This is key. We have four. Cover the bases here. So here\u2019s the first of the four sound bite excerpts we have of the president\u2019s speech Saturday at CPAC.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/standalone\/?458390-1\/president-trump-criticizes-russia-investigation-democrats-hour-long-speech-cpac\" width=\"512\" height=\"330\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: They were coming from everywhere to vote. Those red hats, and white ones. The key isn\u2019t the color. The key is what it says: Make America Great Again, is what it says, right?<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (applause)<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: Right? But we had the greatest of all time. Now we have people that lost. And, unfortunately, you put the wrong people in a couple of positions, and they leave people for a long time that shouldn\u2019t be there. And, all of a sudden, they\u2019re trying to take you out with bullsh*t. (bleeped) Okay?<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (laughter)<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: With bullsh*t.&#8221; (bleeped)<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (applause)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh, my gosh. The Never Trumpers can\u2019t believe he actually said bullsh*t. Oh, no! Can\u2019t believe he said it. It\u2019s time to go get the &#8212; do not bleep that. I\u2019m quoting him. You think I should bleep it? Okay, bleep it. Damn it. Go ahead and bleep it. All right, well, don\u2019t next time. I could fall back on the fact that I\u2019m sick and delirious with fever and the ravages of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the key there is the word &#8220;you.&#8221; Trump knows that as they take him out, they\u2019re taking out the people who voted for him. \u201cUnfortunately, you put the wrong people in a couple of positions, and they leave people for a long time that shouldn\u2019t be there.\u201d That\u2019s a reference to Obama and the career appointments.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-291103\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/APP-020118-Understanding-Trump.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/APP-020118-Understanding-Trump.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/APP-020118-Understanding-Trump-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s talking about Comey and McCabe and Clapper and Brennan, all these people that were in the Obama DOJ and intelligence agencies is primarily what he\u2019s referring to there. They get in there and they\u2019re these career people that are opposed to Trump and all of a sudden they\u2019re trying to take you out with bull feathers. And so the Never Trumpers then started freaking, \u201cOh, my God. Oh, my God. Where\u2019s the guy with the great crease in his slacks? Where\u2019s that guy, oh, my God, we have a president who, oh, my God&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re freaking because Trump used a profanity in a presidential address. But what these people fail to see &#8212; and I\u2019m sorry for being redundant, folks. My redundancy is simply rooted in the fact that I\u2019m hell-bent on people understanding serious points that I\u2019m making, so I repeat them over and over.<\/p>\n<p>What they do not get is the connection Trump has with everybody in that audience, with everybody who voted for him, with everybody who goes to a Trump rally. He has a one-on-one connection with masses of people. And it\u2019s a natural-born talent or skill. It\u2019s not something that can be taught.<\/p>\n<p>You can\u2019t be taught, for example, to throw a baseball 95 or a hundred miles an hour. That\u2019s something you\u2019re born able to do. It\u2019s why I\u2019ve always said champions are born; they are not made. Golf swing. Tiger Woods, 120 miles an hour. Nobody can teach that. You can just do it, or you can\u2019t. Well, likewise, having the requisite personality and charisma, empathy, believability, these are things that certain people have and others don\u2019t, and those who have it learn very early that they do and they learn how to use it.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has this in spades. And this is what they\u2019re trying to diminish. This is what they\u2019re trying to destroy, and they can\u2019t, because they don\u2019t even understand it. So they do a review, \u201cI found a thousand things he said factually wrong.\u201d Doesn\u2019t matter. \u201cWhy doesn\u2019t it matter? These are the same people that got mad at Obama for lying.&#8221; Totally different. Obama didn\u2019t relate to people. Obama didn\u2019t have that one-on-one connection. Obama positioned himself as a deity standing above everybody, God reverb on his microphone, talking down to everybody, relying on people being mesmerized as though he were some kind of messiah. That\u2019s what he cultivated.<\/p>\n<p>Trump doesn\u2019t rely on any of that at all. Trump connects with people. Whether he gets something factually wrong here or there doesn\u2019t matter because people trust where Trump wants to end up. And they trust what Trump sees as danger. They trust what Trump is opposed to, and they trust what Trump believes in.<\/p>\n<p>And so in the course of two hours of a speech where he, you know, utters a mild profanity or maybe gets some things wrong, it doesn\u2019t matter. Because everybody in that room was made to feel like they\u2019re in his group. They are part of his world. And he welcomes people into that world.<\/p>\n<p>He doesn\u2019t erect barriers and set himself above and beyond people. And he doesn\u2019t establish these walls where you can\u2019t get in, but you can see him now. He\u2019s not in any way, shape, manner, or form. They just fail to understand because in their world those kinds of things are not necessary. The will of the people is the last thing the Washington establishment is concerned with, except at election time. But what the people want, what people think, it\u2019s sneered at. It is mocked.<\/p>\n<p>They make fun of it, these clowns in Washington when they\u2019re sitting around after work at cocktail parties, or wherever they happen to be, they mock the concerns of invisible, average Americans that they think are just fodder or placeholders for the country having enough human beings in it to make it work. But they\u2019re not real people, particularly those in flyover states or in red states. They\u2019re not real people. They\u2019re hicks, hayseeds, all the other things.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-301757\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/APP-030519-Trump-CPAC-2019-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/APP-030519-Trump-CPAC-2019-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/APP-030519-Trump-CPAC-2019-2-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Trump has this unique ability to connect with all of these people and to make them realize that he\u2019s in it for the same reasons they would be if they could win an election. If they could run, he\u2019s doing exactly what people are telling themselves and themselves, each other, what they would do if they got in power. So he validates what gazillions of Americans believe and think. And because people like this are rare, it takes a whole lot to bust up that connection, and nobody else can do it.<\/p>\n<p>The media can\u2019t do it. No amount of prying, no amount of investigating, no amount of criticism or debauchery. You can have 15 Robert Muellers going 24\/7 for four years, and it wouldn\u2019t change Trump voters\u2019 opinions of Trump. Only Trump could do that. But they can\u2019t. They don\u2019t know that, so they keep trying.<\/p>\n<p>And Nadler even admitted it. Jerrold Nadler from New York, the House Judiciary Committee chairman (imitating Nader), &#8220;Yeah. We\u2019ve gotta convince these Trump voters that we\u2019re not trying to steal, uh, reverse the election results of 2016.&#8221; Here\u2019s the next bite where he emphases that both Mueller and Rosenstein never got a vote.<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: Robert Mueller never received a vote, and neither did the person that appointed him. And, as you know, the attorney general says (Jeff Sessions impression), &#8220;I\u2019m gonna recuse myself!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (laughter followed by grumbling)<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: And I said, &#8220;Why the hell didn\u2019t he tell me that before I put him in?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (laughter and applause)<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: &#8220;How do you recuse yourself?&#8221; But the person that appointed Robert Mueller never received a vote. But they fight so hard on this witch hunt, this phony deal that they put together, this phony thing that now looks like it\u2019s dying. So they don\u2019t have anything with Russia. There\u2019s no collusion. So now they go and morph into, &#8220;Let\u2019s inspect every deal he\u2019s ever done. We\u2019re gonna go into his finances. We gonna check his deals. We gonna check&#8230;&#8221; These people are sick.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (laughter)<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: They\u2019re sick!<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (cheers and applause)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-301758\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/APP-030519-Trump-Flag-Hug-CPAC-2019-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/APP-030519-Trump-Flag-Hug-CPAC-2019-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/APP-030519-Trump-Flag-Hug-CPAC-2019-2-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, that\u2019s what his voters all think. His voters know that there wasn\u2019t any collusion with Russia. See, this is another thing. Throughout this entire ordeal, Trump\u2019s voters never bought any of this. They never doubted that Trump won this election fair and square. It\u2019s been patently obvious that the people who lost this election can\u2019t deal with it. It\u2019s been patently obvious that the people who lost the election want no part of Trump being near them, in their city &#8212; much less running it &#8212; and so he\u2019s right.<\/p>\n<p>Now they\u2019re gonna check into every aspect of his existence \u2019cause they have to find something. But then to say (summarized), &#8220;These people are sick. They\u2019re sick! Jerrold Nadler says, &#8216;That\u2019s obstruction of justice. He\u2019s calling us sick!'&#8221; Well, you heard the cheers and applause that he got for the observation &#8212; and that\u2019s how you people appear, by the way. You do appear to be out of your minds. You really do.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t think you know it because your media that you trust implicitly never reports on you the way you are actually seen by the millions and millions that supported, voted for, and continue to adore Donald Trump. You look out of your minds. You look infantile. You look childish. The problem is, you have a lot of power to exercise all this anger that you feel. But who you are and what you are has not escaped people, and I think they know this. I think the fact that they do not have this overwhelming respect from their &#8220;lessers&#8221; &#8212; people beneath them &#8212; irritates them as well. One more from CPAC on Saturday. President Trump here&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: If you tell a joke, if you\u2019re sarcastic, if you\u2019re having fun with the audience, if you\u2019re on live television with millions of people and 25,000 in an arena, and if you say something like, &#8220;Russia, please, if you can, get us Hillary Clinton\u2019s emails!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (roaring laughter and applause)<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: &#8220;Please, Russia, please!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (roaring laughter and applause)<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: &#8220;Please get us the emails, pleeeeease!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (chanting) Lock her up!<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: And then that fake CNN and other says (impression), &#8220;He asked Russia to come get the emails!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (laughter)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Hey, it\u2019s not just CNN.<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: Horrible.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: It\u2019s not just CNN. It\u2019s that idiot Clapper! I\u2019m sorry, Brennan! John Brennan, the CIA director for Obama. When he was asked &#8212; and this is recently, although he said it a number of times. He was a guest on one of the CNN panel shows. (summarized) &#8220;Well, what is the evidence you have that Trump colluded with Russia?&#8221; and he cites this! &#8220;Well, what more do we need? Trump literally asked the Russians to hack Hillary Clinton\u2019s emails!&#8221; So it becomes patently obvious they\u2019ve got no sense of humor.<\/p>\n<p>They do not realize when they are being laughed at. They don\u2019t realize when they are being mocked. They really took that seriously. Now some of you might be saying, &#8220;Rush, they know better than that. They\u2019re just taking the occasion of this to act out.&#8221; Don\u2019t doubt me on this. These people are so disconnected from any kind of reality, and everything with them is politics &#8212; everything is &#8212; that when Trump said that, they already have this misconception of him, this prejudgment perception of him that he is a loudmouth, brute, ogre, unsophisticated.<\/p>\n<p>They really think that that\u2019s what he would be doing: Asking Russia to hack Hillary\u2019s emails. It\u2019s so obviously a joke. And, you know, when that happened, it made me realize&#8230; How many of the things, Mr. Snerdley, that I have gotten in trouble with over the years with the Drive-By Media have been exactly because of that? I\u2019ve been cracking jokes (some of them good, some of them bad) that they thought I really meant seriously, and then they go to town with it?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s one of the great dividing lines, because humor no longer exists on the left. Late-night comics don\u2019t do humor; they do applause lines, which are rooted in hatred. Now&#8230; Yeah, I\u2019d better take a break, because the next bite&#8230; There are people who think the only reason Trump went two hours was to show people he could do what I do. Oh, yeah. They actually said this! But you\u2019ll hear that when we get back.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Let\u2019s start at 31 here. What we have here is Saturday afternoon on CNN Newsroom. This is after Trump\u2019s speech, and the anchor\/infobabe Ann Cabrera was talking to former Obama senior adviser on national security Samantha Vinograd about the speech. Question: &#8220;This idea, the idea in his speech of preserving &#8216;heritage\u2019 tapped into historically darker times! Not only that, though! You say that what we heard from the president &#8212; those remarks &#8212; also could pose a national security concern!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>VINOGRAD: His statement makes me sick! On a personal level, &#8220;preserving our heritage,&#8221; &#8220;reclaiming our heritage&#8221;? That sounds a lot like a certain leader that killed members of my family and about six million other, uhhh, Jews in the 1940s. He sounds a lot like despotic leaders that have talked about &#8220;white heritage&#8221; and &#8220;white nationalism&#8221; around the world, and it\u2019s putting resources in the wrong place and pretending that there are foreign people trying to, uhhhh, influence our country in a way that just isn\u2019t accurate.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9ZwAJi2Ol-M\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Ms. Vinograd, Vinograd, whatever&#8230; (sigh) You know, are these people really this dense? Trump didn\u2019t say one thing about &#8220;white heritage&#8221; or &#8220;white nationalism,&#8221; and, see, this is my point. When Trump talks about reclaiming or preserve heritage, he\u2019s talking about the founding of the country. He\u2019s talking about cultural and moral values. He\u2019s talking about the distinct American culture and society that\u2019s different from anywhere else in the world. It\u2019s what is American exceptionalism.<\/p>\n<p>And what Trump knows and all of us know is that an invasion of millions of people from anywhere else in the world &#8212; who are coming here illegally! For crying out loud, what is so hard to understand about illegal immigration? We have legal immigration set up. There are ways to get into this country legally, and we try to admit people who admittedly love the country and want to be part of it! We\u2019re talking about illegal immigration!<\/p>\n<p>There is no way millions and millions of people flooding our border can do anything but disrupt American society and culture. Not because they\u2019re bad people, but because they\u2019re not interested in becoming Americans. That\u2019s not why they are pursuing illegal immigration! What is so hard for these people to understand about this? Look, I know that they know that these are future Democrat voters and that\u2019s how they look at it.<\/p>\n<p>They need a permanent underclass and all that. But to then take oppositions to illegal immigration and claim that it\u2019s really a desire to preserve &#8220;white heritage&#8221; is absurdly insane. It has nothing whatsoever to do with that. It\u2019s everything about preserving the United States and our constitutional framework as founded, and (sigh) the fact that there is an entire political party that\u2019s not sensitive to that is the danger.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: One more here from Samantha Vinograd, whatever the pronunciation is. The infobabe at CNN, Ana Cabrera said, \u201cWell, who does that speak to? Trump talking about white nationalism and white heritage, who is he speaking to there?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-301835\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/vinograd-cpac-e1551818042767.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>VINOGRAD: It speaks to his base, and it also, by the way, this whole CPAC speech, how many pieces &#8212; parts of President Putin\u2019s to-do list was President Trump trying to accomplish today? He was speaking to his base, but he was also saying things that really look like Vladimir Putin scripted his speech.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, that\u2019s just deranged. They need to hide this babe. This is not persuasive. Vladimir Putin scripted the speech? Where does this come from? Seriously, intellectually, where does this come from? Okay, so we have a woman here. Her name is Samantha Vinograd. Who was she? She was in the foreign policy national security apparatus for Obama. Which would put her much closer to Putin and to Iran than Donald Trump could ever hope to be! And she thinks that Vladimir Putin wrote Trump\u2019s CPAC speech.<\/p>\n<p>How in the world do you get there? How in the world? Only if your mind has been totally corrupted and poisoned by irrational emotions like hate and resentment. This woman, I guarantee you, thinks that she\u2019s special and that Trump isn\u2019t. And there\u2019s no way of explaining how somebody like this outsmarted her and her buddies and friends. So it has to be some conspiratorial reason, \u2019cause Trump couldn\u2019t do this on his own. He\u2019s too idiotic, he\u2019s too dumb, he\u2019s too stupid, too unsophisticated.<\/p>\n<p>And here she is, oh, they\u2019ve got a meme. They have a narrative. Trump and Russia stole the election from Hillary Clinton and they\u2019re gonna stick with it no matter what. Even when Mueller doesn\u2019t produce any information, and he hasn\u2019t today, in all of his indictments, in all these people that have been found guilty via pleas, not one connection to anything they\u2019ve done to Donald Trump or Russia, not one! Not one.<\/p>\n<p>Flynn, Stone, Corsi, Manafort. There\u2019s not one connection to Donald Trump and\/or Russia and\/or Putin. But she\u2019s got it in her head that Donald Trump and Putin are buddies and that Putin wrote the speech. This is just irrationally unstable. And she\u2019s not questioned on it. The infobabe doesn\u2019t do anything but, \u201cOh, uh-huh, I see your point,\u201d nod her head in the affirmative. Rather than, &#8220;What? You want to tell our audience that Vladimir Putin wrote that speech? Can you give me examples of what Putin would have said?&#8221; And she would have probably had answers like, \u201cWhen Trump\u2019s criticizing his own government, when Trump is criticizing his own attorney general, when Trump is criticizing his own \u2013&#8221; well, all that criticism is legit. Just because these people think it\u2019s out of place doesn\u2019t make it incorrect.<\/p>\n<p>All right. Now, Sunday morning, PMSNBC. There\u2019s a program there called Up with David Gura. And he spoke with political correspondent from Axios Alexi McCammond and I guess Slate has a podcast, and the guy\u2019s name is Mike Pesca. And they were talking about Trump\u2019s speech on Saturday at CPAC, and this is how that went.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-252347\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/650-091517-MSNBC-Ban-Lifted-002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/650-091517-MSNBC-Ban-Lifted-002.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/650-091517-MSNBC-Ban-Lifted-002-300x143.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>GURA: There was that weird moment in the Rose Garden where he talks about Rush Limbaugh. And he was so seemingly envious of the fact that Rush Limbaugh can do that. Like, he talked about like some people hold (crosstalk) radio shows that take calls.<\/p>\n<p>PESCA: Right.<\/p>\n<p>GURA: You\u2019ve done&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>PESCA: (crosstalk) Rush doesn\u2019t take a call even though Rush takes calls.<\/p>\n<p>GURA: Rush can talk for three hours&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>MCCAMMOND: Right.<\/p>\n<p>GURA: &#8230;so he\u2019s getting close.<\/p>\n<p>MCCAMMOND: No, no. He loves doing that. And that is exactly why CPAC is sort of a perfect setting for President Trump.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Why? What? No, no. He loves doing that. That\u2019s exactly why CPAC is a perfect \u2013 what? The fact that he can speak for two hours makes it a perfect setting? Here\u2019s what they\u2019re referring to. Audio sound bite number 34, February 15th, a Rose Garden impromptu press conference.<\/p>\n<p>The NBC White House correspondent Kelly O\u2019Donnell said, \u201cCould you tell us to what degree some of the outside conservative voices helped to shape your views on this national emergency?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: Rush Limbaugh, I think he\u2019s a great guy. He\u2019s a guy that can speak for three hours without a phone call. Try doing that some time. For three hours he speaks. He\u2019s got one of the biggest audiences in the history of the world. I mean, this guy is unbelievable. Try speaking for three hours without taking calls. Taking calls is easy. Okay, I\u2019ll answer this one, I\u2019ll answer that one. He goes for three hours and he\u2019s got an audience that\u2019s fantastic. They don\u2019t decide policy.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: They don\u2019t decide policy. Should go without saying. But she asked the question because they\u2019re hoping against hope that he\u2019ll slip up and say something. So that\u2019s why, \u201cWell, he was only doing this \u2013\u201d See, anything to avoid giving Trump credit for doing what they can\u2019t believe. Because if truth be known, they watched that speech in utter disbelief.<\/p>\n<p>They couldn\u2019t believe how entertaining it was. They couldn\u2019t believe how fast the two hours went by. They could not believe anybody could do this unscripted. They would not believe, could not believe anybody would try it. They could not believe the audience did not grow fatigued. They couldn\u2019t believe any of it.<\/p>\n<p>So they have to come up with a way to diminish it, and they do that by saying, &#8220;He was just doing that to show that he can do what Rush Limbaugh does!&#8221; I guarantee you, there wasn\u2019t one thing in his mind in relation to that when it came time to make this speech &#8212; and I don\u2019t know how long this speech was originally intended to be. <a href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2019\/03\/01\/its-been-10-years-since-the-speech-that-started-a-revolution\/\">When I spoke at CPAC, it was 5 p.m., it was the Saturday keynote<\/a>, and when we got to 6 o\u2019clock, the organizers at the time asked me if I could keep going.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/standalone\/?284357-3\/rush-limbaugh-remarks-conservatives\" width=\"512\" height=\"330\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I mean, they literally came out during one of the numerous rounds of standing ovations and applause. They came out and whispered to me, &#8220;How long can you go?&#8221; &#8220;You want another half hour?&#8221; &#8220;Fine.&#8221; &#8220;I\u2019ll give you another half hour.&#8221; So I went for an hour and a half at this thing and then it ended at 6:30. I don\u2019t know how long Trump was scheduled to speak, but I\u2019ll guarantee you that he was on a roll and he didn\u2019t see any reason to stop. He has things he wanted to say.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s obviously things he wanted to say, get off his chest and so forth. But, yeah, a totally friendly audience and friendly atmosphere without any rude Jim Acostas or anyone else there trying to interrupt and get in the way. So take advantage of the opportunity. They\u2019re just jealous they can\u2019t do it, folks. They\u2019re just jealous they don\u2019t have anybody that can do it! Name one Democrat! Can you imagine Hillary Clinton even coming close to that, or Bernie? They don\u2019t have anybody.<\/p>\n<p>Take any of these 16 to 20 Democrats who have announced. The latest is, what, this Hickenlooper from Colorado? (Snort!) Hickenlooper? Jay Inslee? There\u2019s not a one of them&#8230; Let me just tell you, there\u2019s not a one of these Democrats that can even occupy the stage at the same time with Trump and not appear as secondary and a stage prop like a potted plant. There is not a one of them who has anywhere near the ability or talent to command an audience that way, to own a stage that way, because it\u2019s something you\u2019re born with, and the key ingredient&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Do you know what the key ingredient is? Above all else, the one thing you have to have before you can do anything of the sort is confidence. And then a very close second is knowing what you\u2019re gonna talk about and being passionate about. But if you don\u2019t have the confidence &#8212; and I guarantee you there\u2019s nobody on the Democrat side who has confidence they could hold an audience for longer than a half hour.<\/p>\n<p>And there\u2019s not anybody on the Democrat side who would ever even try to do a speech with no teleprompter. Not a one of them! So when the debates begin in the 2020 election, whoever the nominee is after Democrats wade through their chaff here, that person is not going to stand a chance. Donald Trump\u2019s gonna appear to be 10 feet tall, and they\u2019re going to look like ants. And there\u2019s not a one of them that has anywhere near the presence to keep up.
