CALLER: Thank you. Holy cow! Rush Limbaugh, you are harder to get in touch with than a man with his feelings. You need to stop arguing with leftists and start agreeing with them to show their absurdity like you used to. You need to have a “Cortez for President” campaign just like you did for Hillary. Ignore her age and let them fall for it. Keep her ideas front and center. She\u2019s a congresswoman from New York City, and if you look at just the three New York City airports alone — I did some research — JFK has 35,000 employees and $30 billion in wages. Newark has 24,000 people and 262,000 ancillary people (like taxi drivers, et cetera), and $16 billion in wages. LaGuardia has 12,000 employees and $30 billion in wages. That\u2019s a 234,000 job, $80 billion economy just from those three airports in New York City.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right, and you think that if I came out in support of destroying all of that, that people would believe me?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Some would. You see what they believe!<\/p>\n
RUSH: (laughing) You know, you\u2019re right. “Illustrating absurdity by being absurd.” But, you know, you might have a germ of an idea here. I can\u2019t come out and totally support her agenda. I mean, nobody would ever believe it. They have to believe it. When we did Operation Chaos and were trying to register people to vote for Hillary, they knew I meant it. We were trying to get people to register to vote for her as a way to keep the Democrat primary going so we would have something to talk about here.<\/p>\n

But to come out and say that I am supportive of some of the AOC agenda? What he wants me to do is make it look so ridiculous, nobody would believe it. But there\u2019s a line that you cross where if nobody believes you, then it isn\u2019t effective. (interruption) Well, I\u2019ve always said that people shouldn\u2019t try this at home; the great make what they do look easy. I understand that a lot of people think that, thus, they can do it. But it\u2019s still not a bad idea.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not a challenge to come up with a way to do that that might be effective. Remember when I endorsed Clinton? They bought it! The Clinton campaign, Bill Clinton (impression), “I knew that was coming. (chuckles) I\u2019ll be talking to Rush later about this, I\u2019m sure.” Ha! I pulled the endorsement in 20 minutes and then denied I had ever done it, that my lies in the past couldn\u2019t be held against me. Anyway, let me think about it.
