So Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks it\u2019s time to stop having kids because of climate change. The world is not going to be livable. It\u2019s not gonna be worth living in if we don\u2019t make drastic changes. And she just keeps spewing this stuff. And there\u2019s nobody to tell her no. There isn\u2019t a single person in the Democrat Party with any guts to tell her no.<\/p>\n

The closest that we may have is Dianne Feinstein, but that was purely accidental. Her office was overrun by a bunch of 6-year-olds preaching to her that she doesn\u2019t know what she\u2019s talking about. And the way she talked to these kids, she acted offended that they had the audacity to tell her how to do anything. (imitating Feinstein) “I\u2019ve been doing this 30 years. You people are basically still in the sandbox. Come back to me when you know what you\u2019re talking about.” To kids! The Democrat Party for the children! The audio sound bite of this is pretty good.<\/p>\n

President Trump. I\u2019m watching Drive-By cable news today, and the chyron banner\u2019s: \u201cWaiting for Trump to depart for North Vietnam.\u201d What? You\u2019re sitting around waiting for Trump to leave? That\u2019s what the news media\u2019s doing? Yes. We are awaiting Trump\u2019s departure. They\u2019re 12 hours ahead of us in Hanoi; so it\u2019s just after midnight in Hanoi. I was gonna look up what the flight time is from Washington to Hanoi and I didn\u2019t have a chance to do that. I don\u2019t know if they\u2019re gonna stop along the way or not. Many of the — (interruption) What\u2019s that? Well, call the crew of EIB 1 and say, \u201cBook a flight plan for Hanoi.\u201d You know, I did that.<\/p>\n

Let me tell you what happened. This is a funny. You remind me. It has nothing to do with anything, folks. But back in — I forget what year — I was gonna do the troop visit over to Afghanistan. I was going with the State Department, part of U.S. Agency for International Development, which is just the way I had to piggyback it. And of course I wanted to get there on my own. Otherwise, it would have been zigzagging all over the place and having to fly around Iran because they shoot down anything unauthorized. And it required a couple of days\u2019 layover in Dubai.<\/p>\n

So, I got hold of the EIB 1 flight crew. I said, \u201cWhat would it take to get there?\u201d You should have seen what they did. They didn\u2019t want to fly into a war zone. So they said, \u201cThis is what we\u2019re gonna need.\u201d And they put every spare part on the airplane. \u201cWe\u2019re gonna need tires. We\u2019re gonna need this. We\u2019re gonna need that. In case there\u2019s any kind of a malfunction or any mechanical function we gotta have the parts with us to get out of there,\u201d which, of course, made sense, but it was their way of saying “no.” They\u2019re just not gonna come out and say, “Screw you. We\u2019re not flying into a war zone.\u201d So they make it look like it would be impossible to do.<\/p>\n

So, telling the flight crew that we\u2019re gonna go Hanoi, that might not be a bad idea because, as you know, there\u2019s no war going on in Vietnam right now.<\/p>\n

Anyway, the press is doing everything they can to set Trump up for failure. They are claiming that Trump will do anything, anything to get a deal, even give away the United States of America to get a deal. And Trump has finally had it. He tweeted out: “So funny to watch people who have failed for years — they got nothing — telling me how to negotiate with North Korea. But thanks anyway.”<\/p>\n

And that pretty much sums up — we\u2019ve got polling data that is gonna shock. It shocked me when I saw it. I\u2019m gonna have to construct this from memory. I\u2019ve got it buried in The Stack<\/a> here. The upshot is that there are far many more people in this country who identify as conservative than liberal. And I looked at it, and I was shocked when I saw it, and it just shows how seductive media coverage is.<\/p>\n

If you watch media, if you watch movies, if you listen to music, anything in pop culture, of course, you become convinced that the left is dominating. Well, in pop culture they are. But you get the impression they\u2019re the majority. And they aren\u2019t. And in some ways, it isn\u2019t even close.<\/p>\n

Speaking of the Academy, did anybody watch \u2019em last night? Did you? Folks, I don\u2019t know if this is me just getting older. You know, I swore when I was young, I swore that I was not gonna become an old fuddy-duddy. I was not. I was gonna actively work not to become somebody that just rejected out of hand anything that the youths of the day were doing, which all youths of the day encounter as they grow up and older people think they\u2019re full of it and don\u2019t know what they\u2019re talking about, which in some cases they\u2019re right when it comes to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.<\/p>\n

But even with all of my efforts to stay young at heart, to stay hip, after all the effort I have engaged in to redefining hip on the radio, I watched the Academy Awards, and I feel — I don\u2019t know any of the people. I knew a couple of the actresses. I can barely understand what some of these people are saying or talking about. I don\u2019t get the impression that the Academy Awards have anything to do with the country I live in. I mean, of course there\u2019s the political content that erects a boundary anyway but that\u2019s always gonna be there because Hollywood\u2019s a bunch of leftists. But outside of that and factoring that in, this just seemed like something that I am totally unfamiliar with. And I\u2019ll get into more detail what I mean as the program unfolds here.<\/p>\n

Another headline. This from the New York Post. It\u2019s actually from last week, and I kept it because it didn\u2019t fit into anything last week. “Marriage Is Still The Main Way For Women To Get Rich — A new survey found that most women enter the elusive 1 percent through marrying a rich spouse.\u201d There aren\u2019t any 1% women. They gotta marry up, is what it says here.<\/p>\n

\u201cResearchers at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte,\u201d which is where a bunch of leftist trolls, folks, it\u2019s where a bunch of leftists hang out, \u201ctook a look at the 1995-to-2017 Survey of Consumer Finances reports to examine gender income patterns. They saw that American households who were part of the 1 percent \u2013\u201d What do you think is the bottom income line making you above the 1%? Just take a wild guess. If you make more than $150 you\u2019re in the top 1%. That\u2019s one guess. What is your guess? There\u2019s no wrong answer here: 250. Bottom line, the top 1% is everybody making more than $845,000 a year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey saw that American households who were part of the 1 percent \u2014 which meant making more than $845,000 a year \u2014 only 15 percent of them needed the woman\u2019s income to cross that elite threshold.\u201d Are you still with me on this? So, you have the base, the floor to get into the 1% is $845,000. Only 15% of families at that income level needed the woman\u2019s income to cross it, meaning hubby earns $800,000 a year, wife earns $45,000. Hubby earns $600,000 a year, wife earns 245. Fifteen percent.<\/p>\n

Another way of looking at it, 85% of the 1%, the women were not factors in that income level. They also found that only 5% of women in families above $845,000 a year made enough money to qualify for the 1%. \u201cThe study concluded that \u2018women mostly enter one percent households through marriage by gaining access to their spouse\u2019s income.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. Snerdley, he\u2019s shared with me many of his lessons of life that he has learned growing up. Aw, there goes Dawn ducking her — Mr. Snerdley said — I better not share this one.
