The less experience a candidate has, the better president they will be. This is too good to be true. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (heavy breathing into phone) Hi, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hey.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Listen (clears throat) I wanted to talk with you a little bit about the oil drilling issue, but before that I wanted to thank you for your obtuse, upside-down inference from the comments about experience and the presidency. Great example of the kind of sophistry that you peddle every day.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What sophistry that I peddle? <\/p>\n

CALLER: (heavy breathing) <\/p>\n

RUSH: The sophistry is from the McClatchy News Service — <\/p>\n

CALLER: (heavy breathing) <\/p>\n

RUSH: (heavy breathing) — trying to say that there —<\/p>\n

CALLER: (heavy breathing) <\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) We\u2019ve got a heavy breather. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (heavy breathing) <\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) We\u2019ve got a heavy breather, folks.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. You were suggesting, as I understood your comment, that because experience didn\u2019t correlate with — with, uh, failure that it therefore correlated with success?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No! No, no, no, no.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s what, rather — what — <\/p>\n

RUSH: No, no, no. All I said —<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s what you said.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, it\u2019s not what I said. You didn\u2019t hear me right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay, something\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All I said was, ‘We\u2019ve got that story.\u2019 We\u2019ve got an inexperienced buffoon running for the president here on the Democrat side.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (heavy breathing) <\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019ve had that for several years, yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, we haven\u2019t. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (heavy breathing) <\/p>\n

RUSH: We have one now and so the McClatchy people know that they\u2019ve got an inexperienced… (mock heavy breathing) buffoon. (laughing) There\u2019s a story saying that experience is a bad predictor! (laughing) So if experience is a bad predictor, maybe inexperience is a good one.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s exactly the ignorant inference I was referring to, yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s not… No! The ignorance is the newspaper trying to pass along a silly notion that experience doesn\u2019t count. <\/p>\n

CALLER: So your — So your — <\/p>\n

RUSH: This is called illustrating absurdity by being absurd.<\/p>\n

CALLER: So your — your assessment of that was a correct and logical and proper argument with respect to that information, is that right?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes, it\u2019s not even arguable. It\u2019s inarguable, David. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t know what you got your underwear in a wad about.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) The illogic of your argumentation, which is usually present. But, on the — on the oil issue. I do not wish to — <\/p>\n

RUSH: (heaving breathing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: Let me know when you\u2019re finished.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m just breathing.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Uh-huh. On the oil issue, I do not deny that drilling is a useful activity.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, how big of you!<\/p>\n

CALLER: I do wonder —<\/p>\n

RUSH: You sound as arrogant as Obama does.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I do wonder if you\u2019re aware of the current administration\u2019s Energy Department position on drilling.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Uhhhhhhhhh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay, what is it?<\/p>\n

RUSH: The president just rescinded —<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, no, no, no! The Energy Department.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Energy Department position.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s it. <\/p>\n
