RUSH: ‘Sen. Barack Obama, speaking to a gathering of minority journalists yesterday, stopped short of endorsing–‘ this was in Chicago a couple days ago. ‘–an official US apology to American Indians but said the country should acknowledge its history of poor treatment of certain ethnic groups. ‘There\u2019s no doubt that when it comes to our treatment of Native Americans as well as other persons of color in this country, we\u2019ve got some very sad and difficult things to account for,\u2019 Obama told hundreds of attendees of UNITY \u201908, a convention of four minority journalism associations.\u2019 My friends, it gets worse. Obama said, ‘I personally would want to see our tragic history, or the tragic elements of our history, acknowledged. I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it\u2019s Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the US government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds.\u2019<\/p>\n

This guy is obsessed with the imperfections of this country, imperfections that have largely been overcome. There isn\u2019t slavery anymore. The amount of racism that\u2019s official racism and discrimination is so small today, it\u2019s outrageous to even bring it up, but these people — and he even mentioned the word when he was in Germany, ‘My country is imperfect.\u2019 So he just continues to ram his country, run it down to any group of people he thinks will be sympathetic to it. ‘When Obama walked on stage at the McCormick Center, many journalists in the audience leapt to their feet and applauded enthusiastically after being told not to do so. During a two-minute break halfway through the event, which was broadcast live on CNN, journalists ran to the stage to snap photos of Obama.\u2019 This is not a surprise to me. You got these minority journalists and they\u2019re in the tank for Obama, and they applaud him when he comes out, and they still want to say they\u2019re independent journalists, but I mean this was a giant get-together, a bunch of people that still have grievances about what\u2019s happened in this country in the past, and they want to focus on what\u2019s wrong with this country, and these are the people who are talking about change? These are the people that want to bring us change? That change is going to be payback, folks. That change is going to be, ‘We\u2019re gonna get even with you.\u2019 Make no mistake about it. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
