“No, don\u2019t expect much on the Mueller report.”\u00a0\u00a0They\u2019re just… They\u2019re losing control.\u00a0\u00a0Sound bite No. 22.\u00a0\u00a0You gotta hear this.\u00a0\u00a0Last night Anderson Cooper 360 was speaking with Fredo Cuomo, the host of his own show.\u00a0\u00a0You know, it\u2019s pretty bad when you have a show on a cable network and your guests are the hosts of other shows.\u00a0\u00a0It happens on Fox News a lot too.\u00a0\u00a0Anyway, Fredo had this to say as a little bit of a caution…<\/p>\n
FREDO:\u00a0\u00a0You need to temper your expectations on what\u2019s gonna happen with the Mueller probe, that I don\u2019t see — and I could be wrong, but — any proof of criminality that is gonna pose a threat to the presidency.\u00a0\u00a0However, there are other probes going on that should be of great concern, because Mueller has a specific, uh, mandate.\u00a0\u00a0The Southern District and Eastern District of New York — also federal prosecutors, obviously — do not, and they are looking at things that he can\u2019t deny knowledge about: His business, his foundation.<\/p>\n
RUSH:\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s inane.\u00a0\u00a0Mueller has a specific mandate?\u00a0\u00a0He does not have a specific mandate.\u00a0\u00a0That\u2019s the whole problem.\u00a0\u00a0Mueller was not given, as regulations require, a specific crime to pursue.\u00a0\u00a0But Fredo doesn\u2019t know that.\u00a0\u00a0None of these people at CNN know that.\u00a0\u00a0They believe that Robert Mueller was officially charged with finding evidence that Trump colluded with Russia.\u00a0\u00a0He was not given a crime.\u00a0\u00a0That\u2019s what makes this whole thing unconstitutional and illegal.<\/p>\n

Mueller was not given a crime, by design!\u00a0\u00a0He was given a license to go fishing.\u00a0\u00a0But the larger point is CNN, for over two years, has been devoted to the premise that Trump stole the election.\u00a0\u00a0They have been devoted to the idea that the Russians came in and colluded and tampered with our election to benefit Trump so that he could win and defeat Hillary.\u00a0\u00a0CNN has established that as its identity.\u00a0\u00a0This is why they are in business.<\/p>\n
This is what and why the news is reported on CNN, and now here comes Fredo telling us we “need to temper (our) expectations on what\u2019s gonna happen with the Mueller probe,” that he doesn\u2019t “see … any proof of criminality that is gonna pose a threat to the presidency”? What?\u00a0\u00a0You\u2019ve just wiped out the last two years of CNN\u2019s existence!\u00a0\u00a0You have just told your own audience that the network they\u2019ve been watching the last two years has been lying to \u2019em!<\/p>\n
