RUSH: I want to respond one more time to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. If you recall moments ago<\/a> we shared with you a belief that she has. She was born cisgender, and that means she has a privilege in life that people who are not born cisgender don\u2019t have and that we all need to recognize our privileges. The unfair advantages we have over others, and to acknowledge those. And then to not use those privileges in competition with other people so as not to use the advantages. She says that every citizen must recognize his or her privilege and not use it essentially.<\/p>\n

And I was remiss. I did not identify my privilege. Her privilege is cisgender, which is binary. I mean, she had a mother and a father, and she is a woman who not only knows it but admits it. So in the old days, that would be normal. Today, it\u2019s abnormal and a privilege.<\/p>\n

Well, I\u2019ll tell you what my privilege is, Cortez. My privilege is being an American. My privilege is being born in the United States of America. My privilege flows from the two greatest political documents ever written: the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. My privilege was to be born in a country that acknowledges the origins of my freedom and liberty and my right to pursue happiness. And that\u2019s God.<\/p>\n

There is no other country on earth where this privilege extends to everybody who is born in the United States. My privilege is not exclusive. You have this privilege, too, Cortez. And all of your other bigender, cisgender, nesgender, ifgender, whatever, all the rest of you out there, you have the same privilege. Just you don\u2019t see it as a privilege. You see it as an obstacle or as an unfairness, racism, bigotry, sexism, homophobia, but I look at it as a privilege to be born in the United States of America.
