RUSH: Kathy in Las Vegas, welcome to the EIB Network. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Fine. Never better.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, good. I love your show, listen to you every time I can.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Appreciate that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have a question for you. Do you think Israel will retaliate against Iran while Bush is in office?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it\u2019s possible. I don\u2019t think they\u2019ll do it before the election.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No?<\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s nothing to retaliate against yet. These are just test firings of missiles. There are no payloads on them. They had no payloads on them. We men, we have an expression to explain what went on here, and I can\u2019t — this is summertime, the children are outta school here, but they\u2019re just, you know, this was just — I mean it\u2019s serious, don\u2019t misunderstand —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. <\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re trying to prove that they can do it, that they\u2019ve got the missiles, plus what if they put a little nuke material in the warhead, everybody worried about what they\u2019re doing with their uranium and so forth. You know, Ahmadinejad is just saying, ‘Hey, I\u2019m not a midget here.\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. <\/p>\n

RUSH: When I unzip, I\u2019m plenty powerful. That\u2019s what he\u2019s saying. It\u2019s about the closest I can come to explaining how we men describe what this is.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And some women.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) <\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s the old size matters argument, and he launched nine of these missiles here and he\u2019s trying to show that these guys, his country is not some backwards little Podunk, that they got weapons, too.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. But what I\u2019m trying to say too, though, if I was Israel, you know, I would take the threat serious, and I would go —<\/p>\n

RUSH: They do. Oh, believe me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: What would happen, Rush, if they just shot \u2019em down? I mean, if they just went after \u2019em? I mean really what\u2019s the worst?<\/p>\n

RUSH: If they shot down the missiles?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, they just went after Iran and took out their nuclear —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, there are two nuclear sites primarily. If they went after those, you know, it\u2019s tough to predict. I mean, when they took out Saddam\u2019s reactor back in the eighties, nobody did anything, except condemn it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There would be plenty of Security Council condemnation; the Russians will get all mad; ChiComs will get all mad. Whether anybody would do anything about it is doubtful, because the Israelis probably have nukes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was just saying, I mean, you take the threat serious, and if I was a little (unintelligible) in Israel, how much more do you take? And if you\u2019re going to have any support right now, it would be with Bush, I would believe. And, you know, whether you think you have that — you\u2019d have to assume they have nuclear on that, you know, to reach them. So why not just bomb \u2019em? You know what I\u2019m saying? And if worse comes to worse, right now I would hope that the United States would step in and help them and get rid of that little nut over there and be done with it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me tell you something. If something like this happens — just a wild guess here — if something like this happens, the Iranians won\u2019t know for sure who hit \u2019em. There won\u2019t be any fingerprints that anybody can find. The Iranians will automatically suspect a joint operation between the United States and Israel, but Israel cannot get any more threatened than it is. This is what people don\u2019t understand. Israel\u2019s day, every day, is this kind of thing. Either Iran is launching rockets or suicide bombers or getting on the buses in Israel. This is life for them. But this is more serious because the Iranians are working on nuclear tips to those missiles, and at some point they\u2019re not going to sit around and let it happen. They\u2019ll take care of their own business, but they try to do it without fingerprints.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
