RUSH: Now, the flip-flop, calling Obama a flip-flopper is not going to be enough to win on. It\u2019s just not. It\u2019s going to be better over the course of the next weeks and months to proclaim and describe his inexperience and his incompetence and to say that these flip-flops are really just the result of incompetence and inexperience, which are leading him to make goofs, which are leading him to lie, which are leading him to flounder around. All of these flip-flops have got to be referred to as the result of inexperience. He just doesn\u2019t know what he\u2019s doing. When he\u2019s off a prepared speech, when he\u2019s off the prompter, when he\u2019s on his own, when he doesn\u2019t have some campaign aide, be it Soros or Mayor Daley or whoever, Axelrod in the earpiece, then he\u2019s off the beaten path and as such, he\u2019s on his own and so this has to be chalked up to inexperience. And how little experience does he have? <\/p>\n

Cheri Jacobus, who is a brilliant woman, a Republican strategerist, she lives in Washington, she\u2019s worked on Capitol Hill, posted a little blurb: ‘Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of actual work days? Not much. From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged–‘ how many days do you think in the Senate, Snerdley? Never mind, Snerdley\u2019s arguing with a caller. I guess I\u2019m never going to be able to change that. People are who they are. I don\u2019t understand it. It\u2019s not worth the time to argue with them, but he gets hell-bent on it. I\u2019ve suspended him, I\u2019ve done all kinds of things, but people are who they are. Not going to change. How many days, now that you\u2019re looking at me, how many days experience, from the time he\u2019s inaugurated in the Senate, sworn in, until he announced his presidential exploratory committee, how many actual days of work experience in the Senate for Barack Obama? I don\u2019t believe you. Educated guess 150. It\u2019s 143. Now Snerdley thinks he\u2019s me in there now. <\/p>\n

‘After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan. 143 days — I keep leftovers in my refrigerator longer than that. In contrast, John McCain\u2019s 26 years in Congress, 22 years of military service including 1,966 days in captivity as a POW in Hanoi now seem more impressive than ever.\u2019 So there you go, 143 days. So this is the key. All of these so-called flip-flops, all these changes in position, they are due to his inexperience. His inexperience and his incompetence lead him to make goofs, to lie, to flounder around. I think if people see Obama as dangerously incompetent and floundering, it might lessen his appeal. Calling him a flip-flopper, you know, been there, done that with John Kerry. He owns that. As I say, you look at Kerry and you see a sandal, a flip-flop. Birkenstock, no. I\u2019m talking about beach flip-flop, you just see it when you look at his face, either that or Lurch. So you can\u2019t tag that to Obama. It\u2019s gotta be incompetence, it\u2019s got to be inexperience. <\/p>\n

Look, now Fox is showing everybody what an MD-80 is. It\u2019s just a cheap little thing. I cannot believe that Obama is on it. I mean he\u2019s got a choice. He could charter whatever kind of airplane he wants for his campaign plane. Anyway, here\u2019s what bothers me, and that is his view of the public. Obama thinks that the people of this country are truly stupid and susceptible to the most cynical kind of campaign. As Lincoln said, as Abraham Lincoln said, Obama\u2019s attitude is the attitude of kings, it is the attitude of rulers, not leaders. No, Snerdley, Lincoln didn\u2019t say it about Obama. He said it about Stephen Douglas. But jeez. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
