CALLER: Honor to talk to you, sir. Dittos from Cape Canaveral, Florida.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019re just up the coast.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think you are dead right. I think that Wesley Clark is just trying to impugn McCain, and I think any military experience, in whatever the form, is going to help a candidate to better understand his number-one job of being commander-in-chief of the military. He better understand whatever his troops may encounter.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Theoretically, that\u2019s true, but, you know, there\u2019s some admittedly leftist generals out there that I would hope never get near the commander-in-chief chair, people that think we\u2019re the focus of evil in the modern world, that don\u2019t want to use the military \u2019cause its size and its power is unfair, ta-da ta-da ta-da ta-da ta-da. I agree with you. Any military experience at all is valuable in terms of having experience to defend and protect the country.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly, and any of these people who seem to hate the country and don\u2019t want to be here and want to change it, I\u2019d like them to consider going over to Europe and settling over there.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, that\u2019s not what they\u2019re about.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know. They want to remake this country in their own —<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — image.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They want to change this country. If they ever succeeded, they\u2019d be the saddest and most disappointed people on the face of the earth.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I think we would.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, yeah, but I mean they think they\u2019ve got utopia within arm\u2019s reach now, and they would just be devastated \u2019cause what they want doesn\u2019t work.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I understand. So we will keep fighting for the real utopia. And I thank you for all of your leadership in educating all of us.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, Kim, very much. I appreciate the call.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Because that\u2019s what you do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thank you. I very much appreciate that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Have a happy Independence Day.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Same to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let\u2019s see. I think Wesley Clark, the Obama campaign, they\u2019re just trying to destroy John McCain\u2019s character, just like they tried to destroy the character and reputations of any judge that is nominated by the president to any court, particularly the appellate courts or the Supreme Court, because their guy can\u2019t compete with McCain when it comes to the experience that she was talking about, serving in the military and how that translates to having worthwhile experience to be commander-in-chief and defend and protect the Constitution. Obama is not anywhere near it. I mean it is grossly unqualified. So in the process, what is happening — and some Swift Boat guys are getting mad, by the way, because the way the left is using the term Swift Boat, it is used to say that people are being lied about, specifically Democrats. To Swift Boat a Democrat is to lie about him and to falsely attack and accuse. The truth is, a Swift Boat attack is the truth about a Democrat. And most leftist Democrats, anybody who tells the truth about them or their policies is accused of a personal attack. So the Drive-Bys have come right along. They have accepted this new definition of Swiftboating, trying to turn it into a pejorative, and they are trying to equate all that with Wesley Clark. The Swift Boat vets told the truth about a guy they served with, he was lying, John Kerry. So here we have a montage of people from ABC, CNN, NPR, CNN. We do not have Clark and McCain on this. This is just a montage to show you how they\u2019re doing it.<\/p>\n

WRIGHT: The McCain campaign unveiled a new truth squad, the Swift Boat Veterans.<\/p>\n

BROWN: Those so-called Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.<\/p>\n

TOOBIN: The Swift Boat people.<\/p>\n

WILLIAMS: Swiftboating is very real.<\/p>\n

BASH: Like the Swift Boat veterans which ran ads against John Kerry.<\/p>\n

HARRIS: This is like Swift Boat rhetoric.<\/p>\n

SANCHEZ: Did Wesley Clark pull a Swift Boat on John McCain?<\/p>\n

RUSH: They are so eager for McCain to be Swiftboated, because they think a Swift Boat is telling lies about somebody and then successfully destroying them. And they are trying to turn that definition around to fit their intended usage of it. Last night on Anderson Cooper 180, James Carville was the guest, and Anderson Cooper said, ‘James, is McCain\u2019s service record fair game?\u2019<\/p>\n

CARVILLE: I don\u2019t know what the Obama campaign is apologizing for, because what Wes Clark said in response to Bob Schieffer saying, ‘I have to say Barack Obama\u2019s had not any of the experiences, either, nor has he gotten shot down.\u2019 Clark: ‘Well, I don\u2019t think riding a fighter plane and getting shot dawn is qualification to be president.\u2019 Why are we apologizing? By the way, Wes Clark has 30 medals, he\u2019s got a Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and everything else.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Nobody\u2019s apologizing, James. What have you been smokin\u2019? Who\u2019s apologizing? Has anybody apologized for McCain? Nobody\u2019s apologized. So what our old buddy James is doing here between bites of gumbo is sending out the warning: Don\u2019t you dare apologize or you\u2019re going to have me to answer to. We don\u2019t apologize in this party. We\u2019re not going to apologize for this, why should anybody apologize? Exactly right, you say it and you move on. You\u2019re a Drive-By politician, Drive-By Media, you run in, you fire, you take your hit, you create the catastrophe and the mess, and you move on down the road to do it again, while somebody else like me has to come in and clean it all up. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
