For those of you who were alive and old enough and paying attention during the special counsel investigation of Slick Willie, the Monica Lewinsky era, have you noticed that there was not one Democrat who cared about making sure nothing happened to Ken Starr\u2019s investigation? They were not hell-bent on making sure Starr finished. They were not — for the sake of the law, for the sake of the country, for the sake of the sanctity of the investigation.<\/p>\n

They were not shouting from the rooftops, to the rooftops that Starr be allowed to finish like they\u2019re doing here with Mueller. Every question Barr got yesterday was essentially, “Are you going to make sure Mueller finishes and sends Trump to jail?” “Yes, Senator. Whatever it takes, I\u2019m gonna do it.” It was incredible, and I saw a little more of it, and you think I\u2019m exaggerating — and I am a bit, but not much.<\/p>\n

Of course, you can expect the best from me.” “Attorney General-Designate Barr, if the special counsel Mueller\u2019s report ends up having nothing in it, will you delay the release of the report until you can find something to put in it that makes Trump look like a scumbag?”<\/p>\n
