RUSH: Here is Pete in Norwalk, Connecticut. Pete, you\u2019re next on Open Line Friday. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. How you doing?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Just fine, sir. Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s an honor to speak to you, and thank you and thank God for your presence. I don\u2019t know where we\u2019d be without you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I appreciate that, sir. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, if I may, I just have two points. The second one will be quick, the first one a little longer. The Supreme Court decision with Gitmo and habeas corpus, I\u2019m outraged beyond anything I can think of. For them to confer our constitutional rights that we have fought for and died for on those barbarians is just beyond the pale. And these people could not possibly, these five liberal elitists, five lawyers cannot possibly have shown a greater disdain for the Constitution and still say they love America. It\u2019s impossible. You can\u2019t. Liberals always bristle when we say you don\u2019t love America. Guess what? Actions speak louder than words. And thanks to this disgraceful decision now, lawyers are going to be more involved with what we do with POWs than the military. How insane is that? And soldiers are going to Mirandize these guys? Rush, the physical dangers to America\u2019s —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, wait a minute, we don\u2019t know we\u2019re going to get there. That\u2019s an extreme place this could end up —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Fair enough.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s possible, it\u2019s possible —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Absolutely it\u2019s possible. But fair enough. But it just shows how outrageous, how outrageous this entire decision is. Once again, activist judges have totally disregarded the will of the vast majority of people and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait there\u2019s more to this than that. If you look at Kennedy\u2019s opinion, Justice Kennedy\u2019s opinion —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, I did.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — he basically says that the integrity of the Constitution is more important than any little upheaval in American life that might come along, that\u2019s when it\u2019s most important. And Kennedy is not a liberal activist judge, I don\u2019t think. I\u2019ve known him, haven\u2019t seen him in a while, but he was in Sacramento when I was, law school out there, when he was appointed. But with the liberal activists, they have succeeded here in doing what they have been trying to do ever since the Iraq war started, and that\u2019s take the prosecution of the war out of the hands of the commander-in-chief and put it in the hands of judges, in this case the Jihad Five.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s exactly right. <\/p>\n

RUSH: But it\u2019s purposeful, it\u2019s not a mistake, it\u2019s not a mistake, it is a purposeful upheaval of the United States Constitution, and the only remedy for this, there\u2019s only one remedy, a president who is going to appoint different kinds of people to the Supreme Court, that\u2019s it, that\u2019s the only remedy. Lindsey Grahamnesty\u2019s even mad about this, because he was involved in writing the congressional law that the Supreme Court demanded before this decision and they still said it\u2019s like unconstitutional so he said that they\u2019re going back to the drawing board.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, they didn\u2019t even give that an opportunity to play out. They just threw it out and decided it wasn\u2019t gonna work. If the president just refused to do this, doesn\u2019t he have that recourse, to just bring this to a constitutional issue, a constitutional crisis? Our entire history we\u2019ve always said the execution of wars is the commander-in-chief in the legislative and the judicials stay home, and they decided not to do that, and I don\u2019t understand why the president would not say, ‘You know what? I\u2019m not going to do this, I\u2019m just not going to do this, this is not right for this country, it\u2019s not right for our security, I\u2019m not gonna do it.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s not who he is.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know. I know. Rush, you know you\u2019re rushed for time, if I could make one more quick point. That Obama site, I went up and I looked, and of course you\u2019re blamed for everything, you know, you did global warming and you\u2019ve done everything that\u2019s wrong with the entire world, all conservatives are, and I know you can\u2019t say this, but wouldn\u2019t it be just a shame if your entire listening audience at three p.m. Eastern today decided to go up and take a look that Obama site? I\u2019m sure it could handle that kind of bandwidth, don\u2019t you think Rush? I don\u2019t think it would be a problem all.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You want to shut down their server?<\/p>\n

CALLER: You know, why don\u2019t we let them know that we\u2019re out here, too. They may own every television, but, by God, there are some of us out here that understand the truth and are really tired of this. And when is America going to wake up? When are we going to start railing? When are we going to start getting the muskets? When are we going to start doing all the things that made this country great? When is it going to happen? What do we need to lose, another city? It\u2019s insane what these people are doing to our country, it\u2019s just absolutely insane.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I think that the statement that you\u2019ve just made is pretty comprehensive. As far as recommending a massive attack on the Obama website to shut it down, that won\u2019t last long, and they\u2019ll be back up and running and then they\u2019ll start attacking us for attacking their little website and so forth.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I know that —<\/p>\n

RUSH: It won\u2019t shut it down. We don\u2019t want to shut it down. We want more and more people to see the absolute BS and lies that make up that website.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, your point is well taken. There\u2019s no question about it. But, Rush, I\u2019m going to let you go. I know how much time you need, other people, but thank you again. Keep up the battle; keep up the good fight; we\u2019re going to win this eventually.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thanks, Pete.
