CALLER: Thank you. I am so hyped about the Steelers coming to play the Saints.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ha! That\u2019s true. Sunday.<\/p>\n

\"\"CALLER: This is amazing. The Steelers have been playing great the last six games. They\u2019ve got two receivers, JuJu and Antonio, each with a thousand yards. Their defense… Now, here\u2019s where it gets weird. Their defense is No. 2 over the last six games. Now, the Saints have the No. 1 defense over the last six games. They\u2019ve got turnovers and sacks and fewest points allowed, and I wanted to get your take on it \u2019cause I know it\u2019s gonna be a great game, and also throw in there the Swiss Army Knife — or, as we call \u2019em in New Orleans, Taysom Hill.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I\u2019ll tell you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You never know what he\u2019s gonna do. Block punts, return kicks, run for touchdowns? You just don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Who? Who are you talking about there?<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s Taysom Hill. He\u2019s the third-string quarterback —<\/p>\n

\"\"RUSH: Oh, Taysom Hill. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He\u2019s the third quarterback. Yeah. (chuckles) It says here “Swiss Army Knife.” Taysom Hill is a third quarterback that they often put behind the center or they have him out in the slot. I know. Here\u2019s the thing about the game. By the way, JuJu Smith-Schuster did not practice yesterday. I forget the injury. They reported he didn\u2019t practice, he was limited. It\u2019s an ankle or a hip? Of course, James Conner is not gonna be availability, the No. 1 running back.<\/p>\n

The Steelers do not traditionally play well in New Orleans, and that is… You talk about the Saints defense, but their offense is prolific as well. Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram and Drew Brees, and so it\u2019s gonna be stuff. The Steelers need the game more than the Saints. I don\u2019t know that that\u2019s necessarily gonna be a factor, \u2019cause the Saints are not just gonna lay down and act like they don\u2019t need the game. They would love to win it too. But I don\u2019t know. The Steelers are just too erratic.<\/p>\n

But the fact is, they can\u2019t lose another game if they\u2019re — literally — gonna make the playoffs, and once you got to the playoffs, you can\u2019t lose. If they\u2019re gonna go to the Super Bowl, they cannot lose another game. They got the Bengals next week but, man, having the Patriots and the Saints back-to-back? It can be done, and I\u2019ve got hopes like you do, too, but it\u2019s… I don\u2019t know. It\u2019s iffy, just really iffy — especially if JuJu is not a hundred percent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
