CALLER: Hey, Rush, thanks for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, I\u2019ve got a question for you. I\u2019ve been listening to your ads about the AB Steaks, the Allen Brothers, and I\u2019ve been hitting my wife up for them for Father\u2019s Day coming up, and I told her about it and dropping hints, and she got online last night and went to look at the Rush-More PAC<\/a>, and she came back and said, ‘Now, what makes these steaks so much better than the other mail-order steaks we get,\u2019 which are named after a city in Nebraska, we\u2019ll just say that, and I\u2019m just trying to tell her I listen to you every day, and you really are adamant about these steaks, so I\u2019m really curious as to how I can convince her to —<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re putting me in a little bit here of a touchy situation because I don\u2019t want to be critical of anybody else in the steak business.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Of course.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019ve tasted the steaks you\u2019re talking about from the city in Nebraska. This is really tough. But I just have to be honest. I\u2019ve tasted \u2019em, I like \u2019em, but the first time I got that sample pack of stuff from Allen Brothers and I had a Super Bowl party, and there was jumbo hot dogs in there, just prepare those, just use some of this stuff. To me, a steak\u2019s a steak, best steaks are in a restaurant, you just put up with what you can get at home. The hot dogs were better than anything I\u2019ve ever had and everybody was raving about them, so that made me try the other stuff. There were a bunch of strips and some filets. It\u2019s key how you prepare this stuff. I mean, you can\u2019t put it in an oven. You gotta grill it outside, gotta grill it under a high flame, you charbroil \u2019em, but the only place I\u2019d tasted stuff like this was in restaurants, and I found out this is what this place does: They supply restaurants with their steaks. And what it is, of all of the beef that\u2019s produced in this country — well, maybe around the world, too — if you throw out Kobe, because it\u2019s its own special kind, but genuine US prime, obviously the most expensive and the rarest, it is no more than 2 1\/2 percent of the entire beef market and that\u2019s why it goes to restaurants because there\u2019s not enough of it to mass produce. It\u2019s just the way the steers and the cows are grown, the way they\u2019re slaughtered; it\u2019s just the highest quality. <\/p>\n

Allen Brothers, after servicing all these restaurants, has opened up a retail business as well with this, and there\u2019s a club that I\u2019m a member of here in Palm Beach, and it wasn\u2019t long, the president of the club is a good friend of mine, and on Thursday night he instituted steak nights at this club, and it\u2019s Allen Brothers, and it\u2019s sold out every Thursday night. They have a limit because of how much they can get and how much they can serve. I went there last night, and I could not taste the difference. I mean this is a club, and it\u2019s a professional chef in a restaurant, there was no difference. I had a New York strip last night, just as good at my house as it was in that restaurant. You eat a steak in a restaurant and you go to a grocery store and buy a steak, it\u2019s not the same no matter how well you prepare it, it just isn\u2019t because of the quality. It\u2019s very rare stuff, and that\u2019s why it\u2019s more expensive than what you\u2019re going to find in a grocery store.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. So how can I convince my wife? Shall I say that to my wife and see if I can — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Is your wife a fan of mine, or not?<\/p>\n

CALLER: She\u2019s really not political. She doesn\u2019t listen to any talk radio.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, but does she know who I am?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Of course she does.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Did she have an opinion of me?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I really don\u2019t think so. We don\u2019t really discuss it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s too bad.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I listen to you most of the time —<\/p>\n

RUSH: See, what you\u2019re up against here is the husband is always wrong.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) Yes. Good point.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The husband\u2019s always wrong. You\u2019re suggesting this, and she\u2019s, ‘Well, why?\u2019 Now, you go tell her what I told you, and she\u2019s going to say, ‘Who told you this?\u2019 ‘Rush Limbaugh.\u2019 ‘Well…\u2019 and so forth. <\/p>\n

CALLER: I was hoping —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, Edward —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — how old are you? Do you mind my asking?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m 33.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Edward?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s time for something in your life. What are we talking about here, Father\u2019s Day?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Put your foot down. It\u2019s Father\u2019s Day, you get one day a year; you should get what you want without having to fight for it!<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir. There\u2019s a saying. There\u2019s an old country guy that I work with and he said there are two types of married men, they\u2019re henpecked and they\u2019re liars, he\u2019ll ask you which one you are. Whether that\u2019s good or bad —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Two types of married men, henpecked or liars? (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The way of the world. Listen, it\u2019s Father\u2019s Day. Edward, go in there and say, ‘Look, honey, one day a year. One day a year.\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: I will give it a shot.<\/p>\n

RUSH: ‘Can you just call \u2019em, just call Allen Brothers, one day a year. Here, use my credit card, just call \u2019em.\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) Well, I really appreciate it.<\/p>\n
