You\u2019re next on the EIB Network.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Hello, Rush. First of all I want to say that it\u2019s really good to talk to you, okay?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n<p><BR\/>CALLER: I know there are a lot of issues. I\u2019ve been listening to you since I was a senior in high school in 1992, and driving home, just listening, my dad and I listening to you some election coverage back when. And I listen to you now faithfully. I\u2019m working out and I\u2019m listening to you every time I exercise. And I just wanted to make a quick &#8212; quick sort of reference to that. And that\u2019s that, you know, we may not always agree on a lot of the things. You know, some of the things that you propose and some of the things that you subscribe to. But it\u2019s kind of like working out right now. I feel like if you don\u2019t exercise and I don\u2019t feel the burn right now, I don\u2019t feel my muscles aching, I\u2019m not really making my body any better. So I feel the same way. I just want to make a point about intellectual consumers, I mean Darla, your caller. I think that what she said was really &#8212; I mean, I kind of disagree with a little bit of the melodrama that her commentary veered into, but I want to say she said toward the end of her comment that she listens to both liberal and conservative. Well, I want to tell you the same way. I feel like if I don\u2019t work out my brain and listen to views and, you know, that I don\u2019t entirely agree with, then I feel my mind isn\u2019t growing.<\/line><BR\/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CUL-qJvQc8A\" data-rel=\"lightbox-video-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125110.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"197\" height=\"180\" class=\"alignright\"\/><\/a>RUSH: Wait a minute, now. Slow down a minute, Camille. Feel like I\u2019m talking to Camille Paglia here. <\/line><\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (giggles)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You are lightning fast here with your tongue.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I\u2019m sorry. I just had a Red Bull, and like I said I was on a treadmill.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Just said &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Every time I exercise, I listen, and like I said, even though you say some things I don\u2019t agree with &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay, okay.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I gotta keep listening. I gotta keep the dial on, because I may not agree with it, because it\u2019s like the burn I feel in my muscles when I\u2019m working out.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I\u2019m going nuts here.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (giggling) Sorry.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You took a Red Bull and you got on a treadmill, that\u2019s how you deal with things I say you don\u2019t agree with?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (giggling) No. I\u2019m saying if I don\u2019t agree with it, rather than I resist the impulse to tune out if I don\u2019t agree with you &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay, what I want to know is this: Give me an example of something I say that you don\u2019t agree with.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Okay, well, this is something I don\u2019t agree with. I\u2019m going to propose a radical, you know, theory that I have now and theory is: What if the reason why Scott McClellan is writing this book is because he just genuinely is having a crisis of conscience, you know, and thus the disparity, between what current White House staffers remember and don\u2019t remember and that\u2019s the reason why he\u2019s writing the book is because &#8212; I mean, I just remember watching all the preferences during 2006, and I remember that, you know, I was a fan of his I thought: poor guy.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Wait a second. By crisis of conscience you mean he\u2019s telling the truth finally?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I mean it\u2019s, like, what if he just didn\u2019t feel he was in the loop, what if he was truly an embattled White House secretary, you have to give the guy props for really, really going out there &#8212; <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Some of the excerpts did a &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: &#8212; and trying to make everything sound cogent.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Never. I have never &#8212; <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: You didn\u2019t think so?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I have never, ever &#8212; and I\u2019ve talked to a lot of women. I have never spoken to somebody that speaks as fast as you do, and never stutters.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing) I\u2019m sorry. I\u2019m working out. I\u2019m sorry. I\u2019m nervous. My heart\u2019s beating fast, talking to you but like I said &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (sigh)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I talked to you once before when I was a &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Ah, ah, ah.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: &#8212; kid back in 1992 and also I talk about the evolution, a little bit about intellectual consumerism.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No. No, you still haven\u2019t answered my question. Name something that I\u2019ve said you disagree with.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I disagree with your reason for Scott McClellan coming out with his book and his primary motivation is the culture of Washington and just trying to be liked and trying to, you know, maybe it\u2019s because he\u2019s trying to cash in.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No, but that\u2019s only half of it.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: He doesn\u2019t need&#8230; I\u2019m from Texas. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Scott McClellan doesn\u2019t need any money. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: You know, his mother, his mother was state comptroller here, you suggested one reason it was kind of a cheap shot, that maybe he was doing this because Bush didn\u2019t support his mom\u2019s independent run.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: That\u2019s just somebody\u2019s theory.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, one of the theories that you proposed that you threw out there, you said a lot of people are &#8212; one of the things that you threw out for supporting why he might be doing this. Well, one of the &#8212; What I disagree with the answer to your question is that he\u2019s doing this sheerly out of reasons that have to be disingenuous. Maybe he really is just \u2019embattled White House press secretary Scott McClellan,\u2019 and this is the frustration of an embattled press secretary really just coming out on these pages.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I\u2019m sorry, folks.
