RUSH: I actually don\u2019t believe this. Barack Obama, in my own state raising money for his presidential campaign, called me xenophobic at a fundraiser. He said, ‘A certain segment\u2019s basically been feeding a kind of xenophobia. There\u2019s a reason why hate crimes against Hispanic people doubled last year. If you have people like Lou Dobbs and Rush Limbaugh ginning things up it\u2019s not surprising.\u2019 I thought this guy was the unity candidate, for crying out loud. Calling me a xenophobe responsible for hate crimes! My feelings are hurt here. I mean, his preacher, his spiritual advisor is loaded with hate. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Last night in Miami, WPLG-TV, here is a portion of correspondent Terrell Forney\u2019s report on Obama\u2019s fundraising visit to Florida.<\/p>\n

PROTESTER: Count our votes! Count our votes!<\/p>\n

FORNEY: Just up [state road] A1A in Hollywood, stop two, this time the Westin Diplomat Hotel, where protesters launched their disgust over Florida\u2019s delegate debacle, some even pointing the finger at Obama, who lost Florida\u2019s primary fight.<\/p>\n

PROTESTER: I don\u2019t know what he\u2019s trying to prove. And he has the audacity to come into our state and take money from the residents, and we don\u2019t exist as far as he\u2019s concerned.<\/p>\n

RUSH: These are Democrats in Florida, south Florida, these are Democrats, and that was a woman, and they\u2019re mad that Obama even showed up, come down here, fleece the people with campaign donations. By the way, I\u2019ve been thinking. You know, something does not jibe here. Every month we hear that Obama is raising 31 million, 41 million or what have you, and this has been the case for how many months now? And it\u2019s happening regardless of economic circumstances. The one economic enterprise that\u2019s not showing any decline is Obama, Inc. Now, folks, I\u2019m telling you, something here is not right. People are altering the food they buy now before they\u2019re altering their driving habits. I just saw a report here that March, for the first time in many, many moons — actually, they\u2019ve got a way to calculate this, I guess — that there was over a 4% drop in the amount people drove in this country in March. That hasn\u2019t happened in a long time. That\u2019s obviously because of fuel prices. Despite all of this, morons keep sending money to Obama?<\/p>\n

Now, of course I cannot prove my suspicion, but when I know that there is this gazillionaire, billionaire named George Soros out there who might have the ability — we know these bundlers, I mean this stuff has been happening for a long time. Remember all the Chinese dishwashers in Chinatown? They barely had enough to live in a shanty and yet they\u2019re sending Mrs. Clinton a thousand dollars. Remember that? How does this happen? Well, walking-around money, the people that they work for end up giving them the money to give as a donation and so forth. If Soros is out there feeding or seeding individuals to contribute to Obama, I wouldn\u2019t be surprised. One could never establish it, but we know that this kind of practice goes on. It\u2019s all part of the illusion, while Obama is losing with dramatic proportions in five of the last seven states, his finances keep increasing. Now, these people in south Florida, they are not dummies. Well, certain things. Still haven\u2019t figured out ballots. But Obama comes down here and wants to raise money, and they protest him, ‘Count our votes now!\u2019 Well, Obama, in case you missed the opening of the program, this is from the Palm Beach Post from their blog section: ‘More than 800 donors packed into a Westin Diplomat Hotel ballroom Thursday night to pad Barack Obama\u2019s war chest by another $500,000, according to this pool report of the evening. In a speech to the crowd, Obama sharpened his rhetoric against some of the most vocal voices against immigrant workers and migrant worker programs.\u2019 We haven\u2019t found any audio of this. Cookie is feverishly looking for it, but hasn\u2019t found it. <\/p>\n

This is Obama: ‘A certain segment has basically been feeding a kind of xenophobia. There\u2019s a reason why hate crimes against Hispanic people doubled last year, said Obama. If you have people like Lou Dobbs and Rush Limbaugh ginning things up, it\u2019s not surprising that would happen.\u2019 Now, I can understand Obama\u2019s upset at me with Operation Chaos. But to call me responsible for hate crimes and xenophobia, he has really changed his tune. Can we go back to May 2nd of 2007? It\u2019s a little over a year ago, he was on our WJR affiliate in Detroit with Paul W. Smith, and at the time the ‘Barack the ‘Magic Negro” song was in full sway and it was generating all kinds of controversy among morons who did not know who was behind it, who was responsible for it, who came up with the whole phrase, and there were people at various radio stations broadcasting this show going to the general manager, ‘I\u2019m going to quit if you don\u2019t get Limbaugh to stop playing the song.\u2019 Yes, I heard from two or three general managers about it. I had to set \u2019em straight. But Paul W. Smith asked Obama about this. He said, ‘I have to do this because he\u2019s on our radio station. We\u2019ll see him tomorrow. You\u2019ve heard Rush Limbaugh\u2019s parody song ‘Barack the ‘Magic Negro”?\u2019<\/p>\n

OBAMA: (laughing) You know, I have not heard it, but I\u2019ve heard of it. I confess that I don\u2019t listen to Rush on a daily basis. On the other hand, I\u2019m not one of these people who — who takes myself so seriously that I get offended by — by every — every comment made about me. You know, the — you know, what Rush does is entertainment, and although it\u2019s probably not something that, you know, I listen to much, I don\u2019t —<\/p>\n

PAUL W. SMITH: But you said not every day, so you do listen a little then, and why wouldn\u2019t you?<\/p>\n

OBAMA: I don\u2019t mind. I don\u2019t mind — I don\u2019t mind folks poking fun at me. That\u2019s part of the job.<\/p>\n

RUSH: My, my, my, how things have changed over the course of a year. Why, a little over a year ago he was able to laugh at it, no big deal, Rush is a good guy, just an entertainer, now I am sponsoring hate crimes and xenophobia. Don\u2019t talk about his wife; don\u2019t talk about his ears; don\u2019t talk about his mother, his father, his grandmother. Don\u2019t talk about his voting record; don\u2019t talk about his attendance anywhere. Don\u2019t call him liberal; don\u2019t talk about his preacher; don\u2019t talk about the mobsters he ran around with; don\u2019t talk about the terrorists he runs around with. Don\u2019t talk about anything. Xenophobe and racist. By the way, last night on CNN, Lou Dobbs Tonight, Dobbs interviewed the Senate minority leader in Florida, Steven Geller. Dobbs says, ‘What do you expect to happen as a result here, if Florida\u2019s vote doesn\u2019t count? What are you going to do?\u2019<\/p>\n

GELLER: I\u2019m hoping that they\u2019re going to read the lawsuit and say, oh, my God, I can\u2019t believe they\u2019re going to win this so we better, on May 31st, move the lawsuit and seat their full delegation. If not, if they don\u2019t do it voluntarily, I expect a federal judge will tell them to seat our full delegation. There have been three polls done, one of which I commissioned that, in Florida, all showed that between 25% and 30% of likely Democratic voters would either stay home or vote Republican if they don\u2019t seat our delegation. The DNC wants a chance to carry Florida and carry our contested congressional seats, they must seat our delegation.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Operation Chaos. This is exactly what I suggested and Mrs. Clinton and her campaign are carrying it out and now Florida Democrats have gotten in gear by also going a route I suggested: litigation. Democrats, Algore started this whole thing. He set the precedent for suing over election results. The Democrats have been conditioned in his image. He went about it a different way than they are, but still they are using the courts. Lou Dobbs then said, ‘Senator Clinton has said in effect that a veiled straightforward — to me a threat, saying that Democrat voters in both states will be entertaining going to McCain and the Republicans if the Democrat Party does not reinstate and recognize their votes. Today we have seen a remarkable unexpected escalation in this battle for the presidential nomination between these two candidates, have we not?\u2019<\/p>\n

GELLER: Well, all I\u2019m saying is count our votes. I happen to agree with Senator Clinton to count their votes but I\u2019m not supporting Senator Clinton or Senator Obama. I want our votes counted, but I\u2019ll tell you, if they don\u2019t count our votes, they won\u2019t get our votes in November. That\u2019s an accurate statement.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How can this be? I thought Obama was the unity candidate, and here you have renegade Democrats, the Senate leader in Florida, saying that Florida Democrats will not vote. Thirty percent, 20% Florida Democrats will not vote in the general election if their delegation is not seated at the convention. And here\u2019s Bill Nelson. He was on MSNBC Live this morning. The cohost Mika Brzezinski said to him, ‘There are now lawsuits being filed. How does this go down in a fair and balanced way, sir?\u2019<\/p>\n

NELSON: The way it goes down, this shouldn\u2019t be about a candidate. This ought to be about the voters of Florida. And we are very sensitive in Florida, and we\u2019re tired of having our votes taken away. The memories are fresh of 2000. And then it was the Republicans that were taking away the Democratic votes, and lo and behold the tables have turned. Now it\u2019s the Democratic National Committee that has been taking away the Democratic votes. People are astounded, 1.75 million Florida Democrats turned out. Twice as many as ever had turned out in a presidential primary, and they want to make those votes not count.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Folks, can you believe this? I mean, they are practically using my script from last week, or May the 7th is when I suggested this.
