We\u2019re going to start with audio sound bite number 14. This is yesterday in Miami, Senator McCain speaking to Cuban Americans at a memorial for political prisoners. He said this about Obama wanting to sit down with Cuban leaders.<\/p>\n<p>MCCAIN: He also wants to sit down unconditionally for a presidential meeting with Raul Castro, an unconditional meeting with Raul Castro.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Last night in Des Moines, Iowa, Obama spoke to supporters.<\/p>\n<p>OBAMA: I have never said that I was prepared to immediately normalize relations with Cuba. John McCain keeps on making these statements that simply aren\u2019t based on anything I\u2019ve said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125113.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"174\" height=\"170\" class=\"alignright\"\/>RUSH: Really? Let\u2019s go back to July 23rd, 2007, CNN\u2019s YouTube Democrat debate, from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, a viewer named Steven from California said, &#8216;Would you be willing to meet separately without precondition during the first year of your administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea in order to bridge the gap that divides our countries?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>OBAMA: I would. And the reason is this, that the notion that somehow not talking to countries is punishment to them, which has been the guiding diplomatic principle of this administration, is ridiculous.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, he lied. (gasping) He lied. He said last night on CNN, &#8216;I\u2019ve never said I was prepared to immediately normalize relations with Cuba. I never said that.\u2019 But that\u2019s not what McCain said. What McCain said, &#8216;He wants to sit down unconditionally for a presidential meeting, unconditional meeting with Castro.\u2019 Obama says, &#8216;I never said I was prepared to immediately normalize relations.\u2019 That\u2019s not what McCain accused you of, Barry. He said you wanted to sit down and meet with them, and you said, no, you never did, until you said you did back in a YouTube debate. Cut 16 again, please. From the YouTube debate, July 23rd, almost a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>OBAMA: I would. You know, I have talked to Castro. I think you don\u2019t talk to Ahmadinejad; you talk to some of the moderate clerics.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So one of his primary endorsers, Bill Richardson, New Mexico, has just told Barack Obama: Do not talk to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. And, of course, Barack would say, &#8216;Well, I never said I would.\u2019 This is Clintonesque. Snerdley is shouting, &#8216;unacceptable!\u2019 every time I mention something about Obama.
