RUSH: All right, Jerry in Cookeville, Tennessee, we\u2019ll start on the phones with you. It\u2019s nice to have you here. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Good morning, Rush. Or afternoon I\u2019m sure where you\u2019re at.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Anyway, Rush, I\u2019m just wondering if Hillary is waiting for another shoe to drop, if she\u2019s got something, or I heard Accuracy in Media, they might drop something on Obama here in a week or two, and she\u2019s hoping and waiting around for that to do him damage, where the superdelegates would be forced to go with her?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, I\u2019m going to break silence on something. You know this whole business of Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers. For 14 months — well, let\u2019s go back to March. A year ago, March, April, whatever, 2007, the Clinton campaign reached out to people in the media attempting to get them to get on the Jeremiah Wright stuff. Now, this is not a secret. I think the length of time involved is. The big point is the Clintons didn\u2019t do it themselves because of the racial aspect. They, too, were afraid of being accused of racism if they had called a press conference and said, ‘Look at this guy\u2019s preacher.\u2019 So the Clinton campaign was reaching out to all kinds of people in the media, trying to pimp them into using the Jeremiah Wright stuff. Now, they did not call me. They did not reach out to me because they know they can\u2019t pimp me. But they did reach out. Not too many people bit on it, but when Brian Ross did of ABC, the investigative unit, and this is back in I think March of — you know, Hannity had been on this for a long, long time, Sean had been talking about this, and when Brian Ross did this on ABC, that\u2019s when it blew up. <\/p>\n

Brian Ross was the first reporter that the Clintons gave the particular video and audio of Jeremiah Wright saying, ‘God (bleep) America.\u2019 And that\u2019s when ABC decided to go with it. Now, the reason I say this to you is that the Clintons have been trying for a year to destroy this guy, using surrogates, and it took \u2019em a year to get Brian Ross to run this stuff in the mainstream Drive-By Media. I\u2019m sure they\u2019ve shot their wad. I don\u2019t think they have anything else left on Obama. They would have used it by now. They may have been pimping other media people to use whatever they may have, but they\u2019re reduced now to sitting around and hoping for a screw-up. I am convinced, since they\u2019ve been trying to get media people to do this, their dirty work for the past year, that this is it. If they\u2019ve got some giant thing to unload here, it\u2019s awful desperate, this is awful late to start trying this. It\u2019s not too late, but it\u2019s awful late. She doesn\u2019t have much money, but she doesn\u2019t need a whole lot of money for these remaining states. She\u2019s going to garner so much free media attention here because nobody wants her to stay in the race, that she may not need that much money. <\/p>\n

Now, Howard Wolfson or Ickes, I can\u2019t remember which, you know, they\u2019re one and the same, as far as I\u2019m concerned. One of these two guys said on Monday, warning Democrats going to the polls on their primaries in Indiana and North Carolina, ‘You guys, just want to tell you, if Obama wins this thing, the Republicans have a giant October Surprise waiting.\u2019 And, of course, the Democrats and the Drive-Bys, ‘That\u2019s the dirtiest thing I\u2019ve ever heard.\u2019 And the Obama campaign, ‘That\u2019s the dirtiest thing I\u2019ve ever heard. What October Surprise?\u2019 Republicans are going to have an October Surprise no matter who the candidate is, all these people said. Now, I don\u2019t know if there\u2019s an October Surprise. If you want to believe it, then you have to believe okay, there is something else out there about Obama that we don\u2019t know or that we do know by virtue of speculation but that as of now can\u2019t be proven, but maybe there\u2019s proof for it, whatever it is. Now, the McCain camp\u2019s out there saying, ‘We\u2019re not going to go negative; that\u2019s not who we are.\u2019 Somebody\u2019s going to have to. Look, the short version of the question here, Jerry, is I think they\u2019ve gotten rid of every bit of ammunition in their quiver. They\u2019ve given it to whoever they hope will use it and get it out there. The problem is the people that they want to use it are in the tank for Obama. They are. The Drive-By Media, the people that the Clintons would want to use this stuff. <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s say you got something on Obama, let\u2019s say the Clintons have it. And if anybody has it, it would be the Clintons, right? I mean these are the people that could somehow put their hands on 500 Republican Party FBI files. So let\u2019s say they got something, theoretically, but they don\u2019t want to be the ones to release it because everybody is afraid of this racial stuff. So they\u2019re lobbying people to get it out there and use it. Most of the people that they\u2019re going to lobby to use it are in the tank for Obama and want Mrs. Clinton out of there. I don\u2019t know what\u2019s there. I have no clue if there\u2019s a big, big, earth-shattering detail that\u2019s going to blow this thing wide open. I do know this. If there is such a detail, it\u2019s going to have to happen soon. But I don\u2019t know who\u2019s got it and who\u2019s going to use it. Therefore, I think one of the things that she\u2019s hoping is that he just naturally screws up. But look, folks, if in the Democrat Party — you know why he\u2019s getting 90% of the black vote? Jeremiah Wright. The black vote is retaliating against this attempt to destroy Obama with his preacher. So the release of the Jeremiah Wright stuff has actually firmed up black voter support for Obama, because they\u2019ve got something. If he hasn\u2019t slipped up with Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers and the flag pin and some of these other wacko things he\u2019s been saying, if he hasn\u2019t slipped up yet, I don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to trip him up. They\u2019re back to promoting him as the messiah now, you know, messiahs are saviors. They save other people from screwing up. So we\u2019ll have to watch this very closely.
