Greetings from the People\u2019s Republic of Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I\u2019m standing here in line, and I\u2019m getting ready for your next operation, Operation Get Over It, to give Mr. McCain a backbone, because I think the other two are nonentities and they dug a grave that they\u2019re never going to climb out of.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Operation Get Over It.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/members.premiereinteractive.com\/store\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125116.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"224\" height=\"205\" class=\"alignright\"\/><\/a>CALLER: Well, isn\u2019t that what you said at some dinner date you were at where we\u2019re not going to get over it?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, one of the guys in the audience said, &#8216;Get over it.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah, we\u2019re not going to get over it. But I\u2019d like to let McCain know ahead of time that if he even thinks of closing down Club Gitmo and closes down my source of T-shirts and caps that we\u2019re going to go after \u2019em with demonstrations even worse than &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I\u2019ll tell you, if I were to tell Senator McCain, &#8216;I don\u2019t care what you do, buddy, but you don\u2019t close Gitmo because I got a thriving merchandise business,\u2019 he would move to the top of his agenda. (laughing) You know, but your larger point here, your larger point is, hey, how we gonna keep McCain in check? How are conservatives going to keep McCain in check? I hate to tell you this, folks, but John McCain is 70 years old, and, you know, they don\u2019t advertise beer to 70 year olds. They advertise it to 14 to 15, 16 year olds who haven\u2019t made up their mind yet. No, they do. That\u2019s why advertising, 18 to 24, that\u2019s when they\u2019re impressionable. Somebody 70 years old, they\u2019re set, their politics is set. McCain is very, very confident of himself. He has a very high opinion of himself, and, you know, &#8216;Who are they to tell me what I have to think? I think what I think.
