CALLER: Good afternoon, Mr. Limbaugh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Afternoon.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I want to say that I don\u2019t always agree with you, but I do recognize that you\u2019re one of the greatest minds of my time, and I\u2019m 34 years old. Now I want to get to my point. I am not a registered Democrat, and I want to be honest, I was supporting Obama because he\u2019s black, and I wanted a black president because I\u2019m black. But I will tell you that I do think he\u2019s damaged and I don\u2019t think he can win. I used to like the Clintons. I will not vote for them now because they have no honor, and they showed that in this election. The only man that\u2019s left with honor is John McCain, so if I vote, I will vote for him. But I want to say that the comment that you just made is exactly right, black people will be upset if Obama don\u2019t get the nomination, but they\u2019ll be upset for a minute and then they\u2019ll go right back on the plantation of the Democratic Party, because that\u2019s the way it\u2019s been. And they have broke down our family and they\u2019re making a foolish mistake if they keep following that party. I\u2019m not saying that they need to go to the Republican Party, but I am saying that what you said is true, the Democratic Party owns black people. They own \u2019em for no good reason because they have not done anything for them, and they will shut them down if they start, you know, having too many higher aspirations than they want them to have. So basically that was my comment. I want to tell you I love your show. I do think you\u2019re a great mind. I\u2019m a little nervous. My voice might be shaky. But I know that I\u2019m talking to somebody that\u2019s a real bigwig right now, so I feel like, you know, I mean it\u2019s like talking to a star.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you don\u2019t sound nervous at all, number one. You\u2019re one of the most coherent and communicative callers that I\u2019ve had in a long time. That is especially well said. I\u2019m fascinated by the fact that you were going to vote for Obama just because he\u2019s black and it had nothing to do with him being a Democrat, right? Why is that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I mean, I just feel like because he\u2019s a black man, maybe he got some interests in mind that would help me help my family. It\u2019s hard for me to believe that after years and years of white presidents, that, you know what I\u2019m saying this country got so many races in it, that we don\u2019t have a president of any other race, and I thought that a black man would just, you know, maybe for some reason do something that\u2019s going to help me and help my people. <\/p>\n

RUSH: What happened?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right now I see that, you know, he almost, even if he becomes president, he might turn into a lame duck. I mean, it just seems like, I hate to say this because I love Obama, I mean I love the aura, but it seem like he don\u2019t know what he\u2019s doing right now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I was going to ask you, what happened? Is it the pastor situation? Is it the way he\u2019s handled the pastor situation? What is it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I just think it\u2019s like you say; sometimes he say stuff and then he turn around and say other stuff that don\u2019t exactly match with what he said before. The pastor situation is very damaging, and, like you said, the Drive-By Media is trying to do all they can. But in the heart of white people across America and in the hearts of a lot of black people, you just too close to a person that makes comments like that, that just will not sell. You cannot sell that type of rhetoric in American circles amongst whites, of course, but probably amongst blacks, too, that love their country. I mean, I love this country. I don\u2019t want to live no place else. I feel like they have done some really hideous stuff to people, but I don\u2019t want to go live in a cave with Bin Laden. I like running water, you know what I mean? <\/p>\n

RUSH: God bless you. I do, too. Especially hot water from a Rinnai Tankless Water Heater.<\/p>\n

CALLER: There you go.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, let me ask you this.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Because, Dwayne, I want to make sure I heard you right. You were agreeing with me that the superdelegates really don\u2019t have much to worry about, even if they do anger —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Not a thing.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — black voters supporting Obama at the outset, if they award the nomination to Hillary, that by the time the election rolls around those angry black people will still vote for the Democrats anyway?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mr. Limbaugh, what it is, is you going to have people that\u2019s upset but then you get people like Al Sharpton that come out front, and what happens is, is that people don\u2019t take us serious because of people like Al Sharpton and because of people, you know, that don\u2019t have the prominence that he has, but they say such crazy stuffs. I mean, they make a few small points, but yeah, they\u2019ll be upset for a little while, but they\u2019ll run right back, and it\u2019s like you can\u2019t really take people serious when you\u2019ve got these kind of people out front fighting your case for you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Amen. Well, this is a cliche, but you are really a breath of fresh air.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I appreciate you saying that. I mean, I don\u2019t know what else to say. I don\u2019t want to hold your time. I know you got a lot of callers, but I just want to say I love your show. My father gave me a choice a long time ago whether I wanted to listen to old gospel music or talk shows on the radio while I was working for him. I started listening to talk shows, listening to you. A lot of stuff you say, I absolutely agree with it, maybe for different reasons. But standing up on your own and changing your situation and not waiting on government to do it is what my people need to do. So, you know, there you go. I love your show, and I\u2019m going to keep listening.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Appreciate it. There you go. Now, you superdelegates, now you don\u2019t have to accept my word for it, even though you know I\u2019m right. Now you\u2019ve heard from Dwayne in South Carolina. You need not fear giving this nomination to Hillary Clinton and yanking it away from Obama. That fear is based on angering the black vote that\u2019s for Obama and the polls say they\u2019ll not vote or will vote for McCain, they\u2019ll come home. You have done far worse, the Democrat Party — and Dwayne confirmed this — done far worse to the black population of this country than simply taking away Obama\u2019s nomination via the superdelegates of the Democrat National Convention in Denver, whenever you do it. So it\u2019s time to take this bit of advice seriously. Based on what\u2019s happening here with this thing from the Hotline and the heartfelt, sincere address, two addresses I have made today to the Democrat superdelegates, it is clear that there is a contest between myself and Howard Dean over just whose delegates these happen to be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
