RUSH: “Nearly six in 10 Republicans say that things have changed so much they feel alienated<\/a>; 42% of Democrats agree.” That\u2019s a high number of Democrats. You know, there\u2019s a story. I don\u2019t know where it comes from. It was about the football game last night. Apparently… Who played? Did the Fort\u2019inters play last night? It was Thursday Night Football. (interruption) Brian, who\u2019d the Fort\u2019inters play last night?<\/p>\n

Do you remember who it was? (interruption) Who won? Who won the game? (interruption) Are you kidding? The Fort\u2019inters wiped the Raiders off the map? (interruption) It was 34-3! I wonder if Jon Gruden is regretting going back to the NFL. Probably not since the Raiders are gonna be in Vegas next year. Anyway, that\u2019s not the story of the game. How many…? By the way, a little aside: How long ago would you have had to go before I didn\u2019t know who had played on a Thursday night game and who had won, and yet I just now remembered there was a game last night?<\/p>\n

Anyway… And I like Thursday Night Football or I did. Apparently, a cheerleader… Are you ready for this? A cheerleader for the Fort\u2019inters took a knee during the anthem<\/a>. Not a player. A cheerleader. A female cheerleader took a knee, and the news of this is a Facebook post where somebody in Facebook said, “It\u2019s wonderful. Isn\u2019t it great that we can look at people and see people who are different and accept them and love them?” It ties with 47% of Americans feel like strangers in their own country.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a reason for that, and it\u2019s not because these 47% are a bunch of old fuddy-duddy old people who want people to get off their front yard or this kind of thing. There is an express effort to overrun the distinct American culture that\u2019s rooted in Western Civilization, and it really is based on the blanket acceptance of, quote, “People who are different,” people who look different. And if you do that, you are a great person. You are a wonderful person, if you can accept someone who looks different.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t matter what they do. It doesn\u2019t matter anything else. If they look different and you can accept and hug them and love them, then that\u2019s how we have a great society and great culture — and I have no doubt that among significant population of Millennials that\u2019s probably true, and kind of really shallow to me. But it\u2019s right along the lines of identity politics. So 47% of Americans feel like a stranger in their own country.<\/p>\n

“Six in Nine Swing District Voters Say Keep This Migrant Caravan Out of the Country<\/a>.” Swing districts. Trump approval numbers in five swing states are 50% or over, and yet all the smart money is on the Democrats taking the House. Let\u2019s see. “Shady Dark Money Group\u2019s Mailers Are Attacking Josh Hawley from the Right, Benefiting Claire McCaskill<\/a>.” They don\u2019t ID who they are. It\u2019s a violation of law. They outright lie.<\/p>\n

What it is: “For the past week, Missouri voters have been receiving political mailers attacking Republican U.S. Senate candidate Josh Hawley from the right on issues like gun rights and his push to oust Republican Gov. Eric Greitens. Some of the mailers, like the one below, ask voters to support the independent candidate on the ballot, Craig O\u2019Dear.”<\/p>\n

So look, it\u2019s politics. If there are people trying to attack Republicans “from the right,” I find it fascinating that attacks from the left aren\u2019t working. You know, why can\u2019t they attack Josh Hawley from the left? It\u2019s because Claire McCaskill\u2019s trying to horn in. McCaskill is trying to say that she is fully behind Trump on this immigration business. West Virginia\u2019s Joe “Manchin Says Birthright Citizenship ‘Worthy of Looking At<\/a>.'” Does Joe Manchin really believe this?<\/p>\n

Does Claire McCaskill believe what she\u2019s saying right now on the eve of the election? “Sen. Joe Manchin said Thursday that the concept of granting birthright citizenship is ‘worthy of looking at,\u2019 but was adamant that President Trump cannot change it via executive order… ‘I think it\u2019s worthy of looking at it.'” These people don\u2019t mean any of this.<\/p>\n

“Sen. Claire McCaskill has most recently shifted gears on immigration, talking tough on border issues, although months ago the lawmaker co-sponsored legislation to end all immigration enforcement.” But now she\u2019s out there trying to say (sputtering), “Oh, yeah, you know, I\u2019m — I\u2019m — I\u2019m with the president 100% on this immigration stuff — and, by the way, I voted with the president probably half the time. I — I\u2019m — I\u2019m not — I\u2019m not as opposed to the president as people think.”<\/p>\n

Why would she be saying this on the eve of the election? Well, because I think she\u2019s acknowledging that immigration is an issue the Republicans triumph on and win on. She\u2019s in trouble in her campaign. And what is this? Jennifer Duffy, senior editor of the Cook Political Report, said she expects Senator Claire McCaskill to lose her Senate seat. “I expect Democrats to lose Missouri.” So she thinks McCaskill\u2019s going down the tubes.<\/p>\n

“Dave Brat Calls out Democrat Abigail Spanberger for Defending MS-13<\/a>.” This is the Republican congressman in Virginia. Dave Brat “is calling out his Democrat opponent Abigail Spanberger for her defense of the violent El Salvadoran MS-13 gang in his newest ad. … Brat also calls out Spanberger for her silence on a 7,000 to 10,000 migrant caravan headed to the U.S. …” This is one of these Republican districts in a Democrat state that The Cook Report and Dan Senor and Ed Rollins all think are toast.<\/p>\n
