CALLER: Thank you for taking my call. I\u2019m actually calling from my 14-year-old Rush Baby daughter who had to go to school, but it was about a science project she was asked to do. In honor of Earth Day, she had to debate why global warming is. Her professor said, ‘Well, it\u2019s easier to prove that global warming is true than to prove that it is not.\u2019 So she said, ‘Well, we\u2019ll see.\u2019 So at the end of her debate, which was yesterday, she had done all this research, a lot of it from Hillsdale College. So at the end, the class stands up, applauds her, but all during her debate, her teacher was making all these negative eye reflexes and grunting about her remarks. So he goes, ‘So how many of you are converted after hearing this?\u2019 Half the class raises their hands.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right!<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was so proud of her. She says, ‘I have to go to school. It\u2019s amazing. You can try to call.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: So she wanted you to pass this message on to us because of —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Absolutely.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — because of her great success yesterday, the research that she was able to find at Hillsdale College, and she converted half the class. That is just superb. That\u2019s inspiring and uplifting. You tell her that we\u2019re all proud of her. You must be, too.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I will, too — and this is a public school. So even more kudos for her. So thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thank you. You\u2019re not sitting around just accepting all these premises. You\u2019re actually battling and dealing with it. This is fabulous. Very, very good. I\u2019m glad you called, Trisha. Thanks so much. Since we\u2019re on the subject of global warming, let me rummage here my Global Warming Stack. I have the story right here in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers. How many of you have seen Algore\u2019s movie, An Inconvenient Truth? A lot of you have. A lot of you have had your kids be made to watch it in the schools. Some of you were even told by the schools that you had to go watch it with your kids, or the kids might suffer grade consequences. I know that happened in a couple districts here in south Florida. Well, this is from our old buddies at NewsBusters.org. ‘It goes without saying that climate realists around the world believe Nobel Laureate Al Gore used false information throughout his schlockumentary An Inconvenient Truth in order to generate global warming hysteria. On Friday, it was revealed by ABC News that one of the famous shots of supposed Antarctic ice shelves in the film was actually a computer-generated image from the 2004 science fiction blockbuster ‘The Day After Tomorrow.\u2019 <\/p>\n

‘Adding delicious insult to injury, this was presented by one of ABC\u2019s foremost global warming alarmists Sam Champion,\u2019 the weather guy, ‘during Friday\u2019s \u201920\/20′.\u2019 This is Sam Champion speaking: ‘Al Gore\u2019s 2006 documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, makes the same point with actual video of ice shelves calving. Which shots have more impact?\u2019 and then they cut to the movie, and there\u2019s Algore saying: ‘And if you were flying over it in a helicopter, you\u2019d see it\u2019s 700 feet tall. They are so majestic.\u2019 Then Sam Champion from ABC News narrates. He says, ‘Wait a minute, that shot looks just like the one in the opening credits of The Day After Tomorrow,\u2019 and Karen Goulekas, visual effects supervisor from the movie, says, ‘Yeah, that\u2019s, that\u2019s our shot. That\u2019s a fully computer-generated shot. There\u2019s nothing real in there.\u2019 Sam Champion: ‘Audiences expect Hollywood to twist fact into fiction. But Gore\u2019s documentary does the opposite, using a fake shot,\u2019 a computer-generated shot, ‘to make a real point, that ice shelves are disappearing, and vanishing ice means global warming.\u2019<\/p>\n

He lied. He used something from a popular movie that was computer generated. Sam Champion, off camera: ‘And it raises another question for you to consider. Is it wrong for a documentary to use a fabricated Hollywood shot to make a point, even if there\u2019s science behind it? Well, we tried to ask Al Gore and the movie studio, but neither responded to our calls.\u2019 Yeah. I wonder why? By the way, that\u2019s not the only false image in this thing. The polar bear stuff, that\u2019s totally manufactured and ginned up. The global warming people have to resort to lies and fakery and fake imagery in order to work people up into a frenzy. So when we get calls from moms like Trisha about her 14 year old who doesn\u2019t buy into it, it\u2019s heartwarming. It\u2019s uplifting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
