I think you are very shrewd. I think that if Mrs. Clinton still harbors presidential perspirations beyond this primary, the last thing she needs is for Obama to win in November.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: You know, you don\u2019t see her husband doing world tours with George Bush\u2019s father lately, have you noticed?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I\u2019ve noticed.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Now, the best reference I think I can refer to people, too, is the updates page of (unintelligible) to get a grip of this election. Hello?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I didn\u2019t get the name of your website, but forget that. The point is the concept that Mrs. Clinton will savage an Obama presidential campaign is something very real to me. Oh, yeah, there\u2019s no question she would do it. Look, if she wants to run for president in 2012, she\u2019s not going to do it with an Obama incumbency. She\u2019d have to be Ted Kennedy running against Jimmy Carter &#8212; and as bad as Carter was, Kennedy couldn\u2019t pull it off. If Mrs. Clinton wants to, just like she needed George Bush in 2000 and 2004 instead of Gore; she needs McCain in the White House from November forward if she\u2019s still toying with the idea of running in 2012. An incumbent Democrat, nobody will put up with her running against unless the guy is a total loss, which is entirely possible, would be entirely&#8230; (interruption) Yes, Mr. Snerdley? What are you so pained about? (interruption) Mmm-hmm. Mmm-hmm. Mmm-hmm. Mmm-hmm. Mmm-hmm. Mmm-hmm. No! I don\u2019t think it will be obvious that Mrs. Clinton is sabotaging Obama. I\u2019m not saying she\u2019s going to be out there running against him, but when Republicans do this kind of thing, they\u2019re accused of not playing ball and not unifying and so forth. No, the Clintons will make every public appearance of unity. They\u2019ll be doing everything that they can to make it look like they\u2019ll come together.
