We had the news yesterday that Charles Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, had referred Julie Swetnick and her porn star lawyer, Michael Avenatti, to the DOJ. It\u2019s a criminal referral for messing around with false allegations and a bunch of other questionable things during the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-286820\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/APP-100218-Swetnick.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/APP-100218-Swetnick.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/APP-100218-Swetnick-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>Apparently, according to Breitbart, NBC News literally hid information that would have helped clear Kavanaugh. That is the headline. &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/the-media\/2018\/10\/26\/nolte-nbc-news-hid-info-wouldve-cleared-kavanaugh-avenatti-rape-allegations\/\">NBC News Hid Information that Would\u2019ve Helped Clear Kavanaugh<\/a>&#8221; of the rape allegations being made by Avenatti\u2019s client. Apparently, she totally recanted her story, and NBC knew it and didn\u2019t report it! &#8220;On September 16, Kavanaugh and his loved ones were dropped into a pit of hell due to allegations of sexual assault from Christine Blasey Ford.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Although her story quickly fell apart during public testimony &#8230; Democrats and their allies in the establishment media did everything in their power to personally destroy this man as a drunken serial rapist. NBC News and Avenatti played a huge role in this &#8230; campaign. One notable example was NBC breathlessly publishing and airing an assault allegation against Kavanaugh that was quickly exposed as a hoax.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;NBC did not even bother to independently corroborate this allegation prior to airing it. A Democrat handed NBC the smear, and NBC ran with it.&#8221; This was Kavanaugh setting up gang rapes at high school and college. &#8220;To make matters worse,&#8221; Breitbart says, &#8220;we now know NBC News withheld crucial information that undermined the allegations made by Swetnick, the Avenatti client who accused &#8230; Kavanaugh of spiking punch bowls at house parties so he and his buddies could engage in [gang] rapes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And we know NBC deliberately withheld this crucial information because NBC is now admitting it had this information all the way back on September 30. On September 30, a week prior to Kavanaugh\u2019s confirmation, during the most intense days of this scandal, when Kavanaugh\u2019s confirmation was still very much in doubt, here is what NBC did not want the public to know\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you recall, although he withheld the name, Avenatti tweeted out a sworn statement from a woman who backed up Swetnick\u2019s outrageous rape allegations. In her statement, this second woman swore that she, too, had witnessed Kavanaugh spike punch bowls and take sexual advantage of girls. Well, unbeknownst to us, NBC interviewed this anonymous witness on September 30, and she recanted!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-286250\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/APP-092718-Kavanaugh.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/APP-092718-Kavanaugh.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/APP-092718-Kavanaugh-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>&#8220;But only now is NBC News bothering to report this&#8230;&#8221; Quote: &#8220;&#8216;Referring to Kavanaugh spiking the punch, &#8220;I didn\u2019t ever think it was Brett,&#8221; the woman said to reporters in a phone interview arranged by Avenatti on Sept. 30&#8230; When asked in the phone interview if she ever witnessed Kavanaugh act inappropriately towards girls, the woman replied, &#8220;no.&#8221;&#8216; &#8230; On October 3, NBC News again spoke to this woman, and this time, she all but accused Avenatti of fabricating her statement &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8216;It is incorrect that I saw Brett spike the punch. I didn\u2019t see anyone spike the punch\u2026I was very clear with Michael Avenatti from day one,'&#8221; yet he brought her forward as a witness. &#8220;When pressed about abusive behavior towards girls, she wrote in a text: &#8216;I would not ever allow anyone to be abusive in my presence. Male or female.'&#8221; I didn\u2019t see it.<\/p>\n<p>Avenatti knew it. NBC News knew it. They withheld it until after Kavanaugh was confirmed. Had they come forward with the second witness having been made up &#8212; or actually been lying about what she saw &#8212; it would have blown the confirmation hearing sky-high.
