<\/p>\nRUSH: Folks, I\u2019m gonna just tell you right now. I don\u2019t believe, and I haven\u2019t believed for a long time, that there has been this slam-dunk blue wave. What we\u2019re being told right now is that six months ago, nine months ago, all the way back to December when the first generic ballots polls were taken, that the Democrats had a 12- to 13-point advantage, that the American people realized their mistake electing Trump and Republicans and couldn\u2019t wait to put Democrats back in power.<\/p>\n

Now, that argued against real life. Real life since 2010 is the Democrats have been losing elections left and right. But, for some reason, in the 2018 midterms, the American people were all of a sudden gonna admit all these mistakes they\u2019ve made and put Democrats back in power. I don\u2019t believe it! But we got media narratives that a gigantic blue wave was gonna happen. We had that media narrative go on from December last year all the way through September of this year — and then, and then the generic ballot started tightening, and then it began to look as if, “Weeeeell, maybe it won\u2019t be as big a blue wave.<\/p>\n
“Republicans look at they might actually gain seats in the Senate. Oh, no! Now the president\u2019s approval number is higher than it\u2019s ever been.” In CNN\u2019s own poll, he\u2019s at 44%. Rasmussen has Trump as 51%. There\u2019s nothing happening that suggests a blue wave is happening! I, frankly, don\u2019t believe there ever was one. I think as we get closer to the moment of truth (i.e., Election Day) people have to start reeling in these madcap predictions and projections because they want to get as close to accurate as they can for the sake of their business.<\/p>\n
They\u2019re in the polling boss; they don\u2019t want to be wildly wrong again and again and again. After all, if that\u2019s the case, who\u2019d hire them? So now we\u2019re told, “Well, there\u2019s been a shift a little bit. It may be… I\u2019m starting to see stories here, “Five Ways the Republicans Can Hold the House.” “Seven Ways the Republicans Can Hold the House.” “Four Ways They Could Lose the House.” Well, a month ago there was no way the Republicans were gonna hold the House. Now all of a sudden, we\u2019re starting to see that the blue wave may not there?<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t think it ever did. I don\u2019t think it ever did exist. I think it was made up, manufactured. You can get the poll result you want, depending on when you take the poll and who you decide to put in your sample. There is no way… There is simply no way that a political party openly promoting this invasion of 7,000, now 8,000 illegal aliens is gonna be swept to a massive landslide win! The American people are not angry that we have not stopped this. The American people en masse are not wanting more illegal immigration.<\/p>\n
The American people, in a majority — no matter how you slice it — are not asking for a political party to stop paying attention to the border and let everybody who wants in, in. The American people are not there. The American people never have been there! The Democrat Party is there, and the Democrat Party wants you to think a lot of Americans are there, but they aren\u2019t.<\/p>\n

The chairman of the Democrat National Committee, the well-known Marxist and leftist, Tom Perez, the former labor secretary for Barack Hussein Obama, quote, “We always knew this election was gonna be close.<\/a>” He is now actively diminishing all talk of a blue wave. “We always knew this election was gonna close.” This comes from an interview he did today on CNN. We didn\u2019t “always know this was gonna be close,” Mr. Perez.<\/p>\n So what happened to this blue wave? What happened to it? Seriously! The Democrats have been out assuring everybody, promising everybody, everybody — the Republicans been scared to death. How many Republicans do you know? How many Republicans have you seen on TV the past month acknowledge they\u2019re gonna lose the House? How many…? It\u2019s every one of them, is it not, with rare exceptions! It ticks me off! I can\u2019t hold back.<\/p>\n It ticks me off, the number of Republicans (I can give you names if I wanted to) saying, “Oh, yeah. We\u2019re gonna lose the House. The objective now is to make sure we hold the Senate.” How long is it gonna take — how many cycles, how many years is it gonna take — for our side to realize the media is jamming \u2019em every day? The media is making it up. The media and the pollsters and whoever else have an agenda, and they\u2019re servicing it every day.<\/p>\n I can\u2019t tell you the number of guys I\u2019ve talked to who say, “Oh, yeah, there\u2019s no way we hold the House, Rush.”<\/p>\n “Why? Why do you think this?”<\/p>\n “Well, the media, polling data.”<\/p>\n “Why are you believing it?” I\u2019ve asked \u2019em point-blank. “How many people do you run into who you know voted for Trump who wish they hadn\u2019t?”<\/p>\n “Well, nobody.”<\/p>\n “Exactly my point! How many people do you know who voted for Trump claiming that the Democrats need to win now because Trump has to be stopped and all this tweeting has to be stopped and all these bad manners have to be?”<\/p>\n “Uh, nobody.”<\/p>\n “So why do you think the blue wave?”<\/p>\n “I saw it in the media. I saw it on TV. I see the polls.”<\/p>\n “Why do you believe it? Where is the trend that Democrats are winning elections?”<\/p>\n Seventy-seven thousand people have signed up to get into the Trump rally in Texas for Cruz that holds 17,000 people. Where do you get this idea Democrats are popular?<\/p>\n BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n RUSH: Just a few headlines here to illustrate points previously made. TheHill.com: “Democrats Slide in Battle for Senate<\/a> — The battle for control of the Senate is looking worse and worse for Democrats…” This is from yesterday. Sunday\u2019s edition is the big day for news. “[J]ust a month ago [it looked like the Democrats] saw a path to the majority but now increasingly look like they could lose more seats and have a smaller minority next year.”<\/p>\n What happened, Wilma? What happened, hmm?<\/p>\n If you think right now that health care is the No. 1 issue… I mean, it\u2019s big; don\u2019t misunderstand. But as this mob gets closer, it\u2019s always been immigration. It\u2019s always been illegal immigration. Democrats would like to forget that. But it\u2019s always been illegal immigration. Now their hope for a wave election diminishes as Republicans rebound, and guess where the rebound is happening? Oh, no! It\u2019s happening among suburban women!<\/p>\n (impression) \u201cNo, no, no, no! Suburban women are supposed to vote for Democrats. Damn it! Damn it! What\u2019s happening?\u201d The Democrats don\u2019t understand. I think the fury of female suburban voters, this anger they have? I think it\u2019s a myth, a media myth concocted in the hope that it will convince some suburban women to vote the way the Washington Post wants them to. It\u2019s like we had a guy on many years ago when the economy was doing well but the media wasn\u2019t reporting it.<\/p>\n I had a guy call me; he felt guilty. He was doing well. He was worried his neighbors weren\u2019t, and I said, “Why you\u2019re worried about that?” “Well, I turn the media on every day, tell you the economy\u2019s stagnant, it\u2019s kind of flatlining, nothing…” I said, “Don\u2019t believe that.” He knew the economy was doing well because of the way it was impacting him, but he didn\u2019t have the confidence to believe it was happening for everybody else. Same thing here.<\/p>\n They\u2019ve tried to make these suburban women think that every other suburban woman out there hates Trump, hates the Republicans. And so a suburban woman that doesn\u2019t hate Trump and actually likes Trump says, \u201cWhat\u2019s weird about me?\u201d Nothing. You\u2019re in the majority, actually. Politico. Headline: “Hey, Republicans Might Hold onto the House After All.” Wait. What?<\/p>\n “Could Republicans do the unthinkable … and keep a majority in the House? Politico\u2019s Rachel Bade calls it ‘unlikely,\u2019 but not impossible<\/a>. Bade hears from Republicans and ‘even a few Democrats\u2019 that the political winds have shifted enough this month that it might result in a slight GOP majority…” Gee, I wonder what happened this month. You and your buddies have been telling everybody this was gonna be a blue wave landslide wipeout ever since last December. You have made book on it. You\u2019ve run campaigns on it. You ran the Kavanaugh operation based on it. You\u2019re running this mob coming up here from Central and South America on it! Look for 56 Republican seats in the Senate when this is all over. You like that number, Snerdley? Next headline from Washington Post: “House Democrats\u2019 Hope for Wave Election Diminishes as Republicans Rebound.<\/a>” The Democrats are saying (paraphrased), “Well, no, no, wait a minute. We got the big issue. We got health care! Health care is our big issue, the No. 1 issue for voters.” Uh, wait a minute, Democrats. You\u2019ve got nothing.<\/p>\n
