Nice to have you on the EIB Network.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Very nice to be here, Rush.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125112.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"170\" height=\"210\" class=\"alignright\"\/>CALLER: Hey, I\u2019m quite upset with the primaries and the Democrats in Florida and they\u2019re upset that they didn\u2019t get a chance to have their votes count. Well, Governor Crist says that he believes everyone should be heard. My problem with all this is, I\u2019m an independent voter in Florida, and I was not allowed to vote because I\u2019m an independent. The person that I would have voted for &#8212; a Republican, by the way &#8212; is no longer in the race. What if my vote and a bunch of the independents in Florida could have put the candidate I would have chosen over the top? He would have been up there with McCain,. You know, I\u2019m so baffled that they\u2019re even considering giving the Democrats a second chance &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, I don\u2019t think &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: &#8212; without the independents.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, I don\u2019t think they\u2019re going to do that. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s going to be a do-over. I think what Howard Dean &#8212; and, by the way, the press is misreporting this. This is not a done deal yet.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: But they\u2019re going to seat the Florida delegates based on the Democrat side based on the outcome of the vote.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I don\u2019t think there\u2019s going to be a do-over in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right. My problem with it is that is I just was upset that they\u2019re even being considered when Florida knew, okay, the Democrats said, &#8216;Okay, we\u2019re not going to count your votes if you move your primary. Okay?\u2019 and now, &#8216;Yes, okay? We will take those votes, but Independents still don\u2019t count in Florida,\u2019 and who knows what would have happened if the independents could have voted?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, the party makes the rules.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right. I understand that.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: The parties make the rules in these primaries, and it\u2019s different from state to state.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You could have gone up and voted in New Hampshire and all you would have had to tell \u2019em is that you intend to move there someday.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughter)No kidding! <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No, not kidding.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh, my word.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: It\u2019s the same thing with the Hawkeye Cauci.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh, that\u2019s great.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Anybody can show up to the caucuses, they don\u2019t have to be registered, just show up.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Wow.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: But in Kentucky, they\u2019re very concerned about Operation Chaos.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And if you haven\u2019t registered by December 31st of last year, you can\u2019t vote in their primary coming up. Every state is different.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right, I understand that. But I moved down here, and I never realized it.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Why are you an independent? Why haven\u2019t you chosen sides?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I\u2019ll tell you what. Um, I\u2019ve since chosen. Just because I never know which side of the coin&#8230; You know, I like to hear out everybody and make up my own mind, and I generally vote Republican. So&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, I\u2019d pull the trigger then. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: It\u2019s crazy.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I\u2019d pull the trigger, because you\u2019re being disenfranchised here by these party rules.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I was going to say, if you\u2019re a moderate&#8230; You didn\u2019t say you\u2019re a moderate; you said you\u2019re an independent.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: But if you\u2019re a moderate, you know, moderates don\u2019t care about anything so the fact that you couldn\u2019t vote shouldn\u2019t bother you.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughs) No, it bothers me. It really does. I was never one to be highly involved in politics at all. My husband loves politics. He listens to you religiously every day. I\u2019m at work while you\u2019re on.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Good man, good man.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh, yeah. My dad up in Massachusetts: religiously every day.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Good man.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh, yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And I just have recently gotten into it. And, boy, this thing where I couldn\u2019t vote really got me riled, and you\u2019re the first person that\u2019s been willing to listen. I really appreciate it.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, I appreciate you. Thank you very much. You can eliminate this. You can vote in the general when that comes around. That\u2019s not going to stop you, obviously.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right, I understand that.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: If you want to vote in primaries &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: You gotta register.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: &#8212; you\u2019re going to have to pull the trigger &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: &#8212; and register with a particular party here in the state of Florida.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right. Well, I understand that now, but, oh, I was furious.
