This is from Chelsea Clinton. She got the question again about Monica Lewinsky. This was at North Carolina, Chapel Hill, at a campaign event. The student said, ‘Last week you were asked a question about how the Monica Lewinsky scandal affected your mom. You responded, saying that it was none of that person\u2019s business. And I\u2019d like to briefly say, whether or not it\u2019s our business and why that\u2019s so.\u2019<\/p>\n

CHELSEA: It\u2019s none of your business.<\/p>\n

MALE STUDENT: Right. But I would like to know, because unfortunately, he was president of the United States at that time and so, as the American people, I feel it\u2019s our business.<\/p>\n

CHELSEA: Sir, I respectfully disagree. I think that that is something that is personal to my family. I\u2019m sure there are things that are personal to your family that you don\u2019t think are anyone else\u2019s business, either. (applause) But also — also, on a larger point, I don\u2019t think you should vote for or against my mother because of my father.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, let me weigh in on this. Chelsea is not the one to ask about this. I mean, if she doesn\u2019t want to talk about it, that\u2019s fine and dandy. I know some people say, ‘Hey, she\u2019s 30 years old, she\u2019s out there campaigning, and if she\u2019s going to go out and campaign she\u2019s gotta be able to answer the questions.\u2019 The person this question needs to be asked of is Hillary, and the second person — you know who\u2019s getting a total pass on this question? — is Bill Clinton. If there was somebody in the whole Clinton campaign who needs to be asked this question, it would be Bill Clinton. ‘What does it say about your wife, the way you\u2019ve blamed the vast right-wing conspiracy when everybody knew that there was no vast right-wing conspiracy, that you found Monica, you brought her in there with the pizza deliveries,\u2019 and blah, blah, blah. We all know the rest, which is history. I understand students want the titillating answers, but there\u2019s a better question to ask Chelsea Clinton. <\/p>\n

Now, look, I know some of you are saying, ‘But wait! But wait, Rush. Judgment, this is. We\u2019re talking about a president of the United States potentially here, Hillary Clinton, you know, her judgment and so forth.\u2019 Fine. Somebody ought to ask Chelsea, ‘What do you think of your mom\u2019s handling of national health care that failed abysmally in 1993?\u2019 If any of you are students out there within the sound of my wonderful and deep resonant voice and you have a chance to ask Chelsea Clinton a question, try keeping it on policy. If you want to dig the Clintons or if you want to put \u2019em under the microscope, ask her about her thoughts on her mom\u2019s botching of health care in 1993 and why she\u2019s qualified to try it again when it didn\u2019t work the first time. Then if you want to find out about how Hillary dealt with Monica Lewinsky, ask Bill, or ask Hillary. You know, Chelsea\u2019s… I don\u2019t know. You might want her to answer this, but I think there are better questions that could still just as easily get to the lack of competence and judgment of her mother, as this Lewinsky question could.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
