George McGovern, the 1972 Democratic presidential nominee, said Tuesday it would be easier for a black man to be elected to the White House than a woman.’ So thank you, Senator McGovern, racism and sexism have been re-injected into the Democrat primary. Operation Chaos. McGovern has endorsed Hillary whom he has known for decades since she helped campaign for him. ”I have a feeling that in this country where we’re at today in our thinking, it’s going to be harder to elect a woman than to elect a black man. I wish that weren’t true … I’d love to see Hillary as president.’ McGovern says he occasionally chats with men who don’t think a woman is ready for the responsibility. ‘Some guy will say, ‘Well, I think that’s too big a job for a woman, I don’t think she can handle those terrorists,” he said, adding that he seldom hears the same thing said about a black man. ‘I think we’ve never had a woman so well-qualified that’s on the national scene,’ he said of Clinton. … He says he likes Obama but didn’t know much about him when he endorsed Clinton last year. ‘I think very highly of him now,’ McGovern said.’ So racism and sexism, ladies and gentlemen, back in front and center in the Democrat presidential primary.

Back to the audio sound bites. Let’s pick up with number five here. This is again yesterday, Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Hillary Clinton in a press conference, a reporter said, ‘Republicans are now saying that it’s a pattern of exaggeration on Bosnia, with the three events that they sent out with the same kind of story. How do you respond to that claim that this is sort of a pattern with you that’s developed of not telling the truth?’

HILLARY: You know, look I — I made a mistake, and, you know, I had a different memory and my — you know, my staff and others have, you know, all kind of come together trying to sort out — so I made a mistake. That happens. It proves I’m human being, which, you know, for some people is a revelation.

RUSH: Wow, she’s sticking to that line, I’m human. To some people that’s a revelation? Now, you may not have heard this in her tone, but there’s bitterness in that kind of a remark, because it means that she’s walking around thinking that a lot of people think that she’s Nurse Ratched. Nurse Ratched wasn’t really human. Nurse Ratched was a mean b-i-itch, and she was a mean b-i-itch to a bunch of people that had mental disorders. It was a movie. But that’s how she obviously thinks she is seen, and that would explain the comment, it happens, yeah, I told a lie. Well, it proves I’m human. Which, you know, for some people is a revelation. Again, folks, Mrs. Clinton lies because liberals lie. Liberalism is a lie. Liberalism lies about what it will accomplish, and it lies when those failures born of liberalism occur. Liberalism has to lie, liberals have to lie to cover who they really are, to mask who they are, like Obama has been doing. There’s no difference in Hillary and Obama. In fact, their big lies are worse than this Bosnia thing. The big lies are how national health care will work. The big lie is how these people can take over the oil business and run it better than anybody else. The big lies are liberal policy pronouncements. And, of course, the Drive-By Media is not interested in exposing those lies or even looking at them as lies. So the idea that Mrs. Clinton’s told a lie here and has been caught at it, why should this surprise anybody? A, she’s a Clinton. B, she’s a liberal. When you put those two things together it’s almost impossible not to be a liar.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: By the way, Harry Reid, Dingy Harry, he’s had his share of things to say about the mortgage crisis. How come there’s no mention of his multiple questionable land deals in Nevada, when he talks about foreclosures and mortgages? This is precisely the kind of thing that I am talking about when I refer to ‘voter manipulation,’ the attempt to shape the outcome of elections by virtue of the blatant unfairness in the reporting. I don’t care. If you want to bring up McCain’s past when he gives a speech on the mortgage crisis? Fine, go ahead. But do it when Obama and Hillary and Harry Reid bring it up. But they don’t. They leave it all out. Hell, half the time they don’t even report the party affiliations of people like Eliot Spitzer or this new governor, David Paterson. You name it. So the idea here that Operation Chaos is somehow violating the law and the precious principles of the Democrat Party swearing loyalty oaths among people who register as Democrats, it is frankly absurd and I’m having a blast illustrating this. Mrs. Clinton, how come when she says she’s human and that’s a revelation to people, nobody in the Drive-Bys says, ‘Yeah, it is a revelation to us.’ The next thing that is going to happen is Mrs. Clinton is going to say, ‘I’m a woman. I know that’s a revelation to some of you, but it’s true.’ In which case some of us might say, ‘Oh, really? I hadn’t looked at it that way.’ Speaking of Hillary, back to Greensberg, Pennsylvania, and her press conference. Another reporter. ‘You and your campaign have been talking about Florida and Michigan, saying that Obama wants to disenfranchise voters there by not backing revotes. If this ends up going to the convention and the superdelegates decide, how is that not disenfranchising voters?’

HILLARY: We have to wait and see is what happens in the next three months, and there’s been a lot of talk about what if, what if, what if? Let’s wait ’til we get some facts. People are going to vote over the next months. Uh, millions of people are going to vote and, uh, we should wait and see the outcome of those votes.

RUSH: The ‘next months’ that she’s talking about, are three months, taking us to June 7th and Puerto Rico, which she fully means that she intends to hang in there. Now, the reporter’s question is a good question. As I pointed out yesterday, as they’re trying to nail all of us in Operation Chaos for voter fraud, ‘Do you realize this Democrat primary about voters’ votes do not count? They don’t matter. It doesn’t matter a hill of beans.’ I’m not making this up, and it’s not just because the superdelegates are going to end up deciding this. Mrs. Clinton herself said, ‘Well, these delegates aren’t really bound to Obama,’ these pledged delegates,’ and this is a fact-checking article from AP. It’s true, ‘but she omits a key safeguard against delegate switches in that the people who serve as pledged delegates are selected by the campaigns who won them and loyalty is a key qualification.’ But Clinton, Hillary, in an interview on Monday, with the editorial board of the Philadelphia Daily News, ‘said that pledged delegates are no different from superdelegates, the party and elected officials can support whoever they choose at the convention. Hillary said, ‘Pledged delegates in most states are not pledged.’

”You know, there is no requirement that anybody vote for anybody. They’re just like superdelegates.” So Mrs. Clinton says in Greensberg, Pennsylvania: Well, wait ’til all the votes are in. And Clinton himself is out (doing Clinton impression), ‘Hey, you know what? I think everybody ought to just chill out. Wait ’til the votes are in and let the people decide this.’ Now Hillary on Monday said, ‘Pledged delegates don’t mean anything; they’re pledged to nobody.’ She’s essentially saying that Obama does not have a delegate lead, that until you get to the convention, nobody knows what’s going to happen that, that all of this that has happened up ’til now is basically irrelevant. Every cauci, every Democrat primary is irrelevant, because the pledged delegates are not pledged. They can go anywhere. I, frankly, tend to believe this. When I looked at the Democrat rules in New Hampshire, you can go into New Hampshire and vote even if you don’t live there. All you have to do is sign a little piece of paper saying that you might want to live there someday. That’s what makes their outrage over Operation Chaos even more laughable.

But if you listen to what Mrs. Clinton is saying, she’s not going anywhere for three months, and Obama does not have a lead. He might lead the delegates right now, but they’re not pledged to anybody. ‘By the time we get through with them, who knows how it’s gonna come out?’ Mrs. Clinton is saying. So…Operation Chaos. As I listen to Mrs. Clinton speak, I am more and more convinced that we have done and are doing the right thing with Operation Chaos. Because had she got smoked, had she been blown out in Texas and Ohio, either in the popular vote or the delegate count or whatever, the pressure would have been great from across the Democrat Party — and they would have descended on the Clintons at Chappaqua and Washington, wherever they were — and they would have had meetings. They would have gone up and said, ‘Look, it’s just like Barry Goldwater had to tell Nixon: You don’t have any support anymore, you gotta go for the good of the party,’ and if she had lost Texas and Ohio big, who knows. But she didn’t. It is a moot point. She won Texas; she won Ohio because of Operation Chaos. Operation Chaos is meeting and surpassing all objectives, achieving precisely what our intention was. Listening to her speak, there’s no question she doesn’t think that she’s behind. She’s going to go to convention and blow it up to get this nomination.

RUSH: Back now to Operation Chaos. ‘Former Sen.
