RUSH: Let\u2019s go back to the audio sound bites. Mrs. Clinton, you know, her problem is not just sniper fire and all this. She has a big problem on NAFTA, as you remember. She was fighting for it, or she was opposed to it. I forget her position, but whatever she said, the new records from the White House proved that she was lying about it. She\u2019s now opposed to it. She\u2019s telling the people in Ohio that we\u2019re going to end it, change it around, make it more fair. She was all for it, made speeches for it in the White House. After the debacle of the health care plan in 1993 and \u201994, she was pulled off anything important and it became tea and crumpets time for Mrs. Clinton, at least according to these schedules. I want to go back to this program March 17th, nine days ago, this is what I and many other people said, by the way, about the Reverend J. Wright.<\/p>\n

RUSH ARCHIVE: You don\u2019t choose your uncle. You don\u2019t choose your parents. You choose your preacher. You choose your church.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Okay, good. That was me. I love listening to myself. But I was eager to go and interrupted myself. I even interrupt me. Mrs. Clinton yesterday, Greensburg, Pennsylvania, unidentified reporter says, ‘Should Barack Obama have left his church after Jeremiah Wright made the comments that he did?\u2019<\/p>\n

HILLARY: Given all we have heard and seen, he would not have been my pastor. You know, we don\u2019t have a choice when it comes to our relatives. We have a choice when it comes to our pastors and the churches we attend. Everyone will have to decide these matters for themselves, they are obviously very personal matters. But I was asked what I would do if he were my pastor, and I said, ‘I think the choice would be clear for me.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: So she\u2019s letting others write her own stuff and employing it here. ABC News had a story, everybody in the Drive-Bys talking about this last night and this morning. Jake Tapper put on his blog at ABC.com, he said, you know, I just spoke with a Democrat Party official. This was about 45 minutes after the program was over yesterday, 3:44 p.m. Eastern time is when he posted this. He said, ‘I just spoke with a Democratic Party official, who asked for anonymity so as to speak candidly, who said we in the media are all missing the point of this Democratic fight. The delegate math is difficult for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, the official said. But it\u2019s not a question of CAN she achieve it. Of course she can, the official said. The question is — what will Clinton have to do in order to achieve it? What will she have to do to Sen. Barack Obama, D-IL, in order to eke out her improbable victory? She will have to ‘break his back,\u2019 the official said. She will have to destroy Obama, make Obama completely unacceptable. ‘Her securing the nomination is certainly possible — but it will require exercising the ‘Tonya Harding option.” the official said. ‘Is that really what we Democrats want?”<\/p>\n

The Tonya Harding option. You know what that was. That was about a competition between Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan, and Tonya Harding hired some brute to go in there, with a monkey wrench or something and bash the knee of Nancy Kerrigan prior to tryouts or something, qualifying, wasn\u2019t it, something like that. (interruption) Her husband devised it? It doesn\u2019t matter, it happened. It happened. It won\u2019t be long before we see Tonya Harding, by the way, on Dancing with the Stars. You know, I had to watch that last night. Well, I got the brother and three nieces in town, and my eldest niece, Christen, is a great dancer. I mean, she really is a great dancer. We watched the DVD… she\u2019s on the [high school] dance team, and the dance team now is a little higher in elevation than the cheerleader squad is. Didn\u2019t have dance teams when I was in high school, and she\u2019s really, really good. So, we wanted to watch Dancing with the Stars, and some people were over. I\u2019d never seen this show and I\u2019m watching it, and I think, nobody danced. This was an elimination show, they had some rock group of 14-year-olds playing around, but I had to watch this show last night, and Monica Seles got voted off, Priscilla Presley, what happened to her face? It\u2019s sad, Mr. Snerdley. It is horribly sad. She\u2019s had some work and didn\u2019t work. It\u2019s just sad. <\/p>\n

Penn Jillette got voted off of the show. Jason Taylor and his partner danced, but I said, ‘What\u2019s the ‘Dancing with the Stars\u2019? Where\u2019s the dancing?\u2019 I kept hearing, ‘It\u2019s double elimination night, Uncle Rush.\u2019 Oh, okay, double elimination night. That explains it to me. (laughing)<\/p>\n

So, anyway, what made me think of this was Tonya Harding and competition. But, look, here\u2019s the thing. None of this surprises us, does it, folks? We have been predicting this. We have said, Hillary will do anything to win. It doesn\u2019t matter, if she has to cause riots in Denver, if they have to blow up the convention hall out there, she will do it, she\u2019s going nowhere. She has lived the last 20 years of her life for exactly this reason, this season, this year, this opportunity. She\u2019s not going to just quit. The idea that this Democrat guy would say to the media that they\u2019re all missing the point of the fight, maybe so, because they\u2019re in the tank for Obama, most of them are. But they\u2019re running stories, ‘Why isn\u2019t Mrs. Clinton getting out? Why doesn\u2019t Mr. Clinton tell Mrs. Clinton to get out? When are they going to realize it\u2019s over and they have no chance?\u2019 That\u2019s not the way they look at it. I had the story yesterday, both sides sitting around hoping the other side screws up. <\/p>\n

I will guarantee you the Clintons are doing more than sitting around hoping the other side screws up. The Clintons are going to try to engineer the screw-up. We need to go out and get this from the archives. I warned Barack Obama before the Hawkeye Cauci that he would need courage to be the first Democrat to facedown Clinton, Inc., that he was going to get kneecapped, and now we hear the ‘Tonya Harding Option\u2019 is on the table from Clinton, Inc.! Well, the Tonya Harding Option is kneecapping, plain and simple. The idea that the Drive-Bys are surprised by this, I refuse to believe it. They know who the Clintons are. As Jake Tapper says here, ‘It implies that Clinton is so set on ensuring that Obama doesn\u2019t get the nomination, not only is she willing to take extra-ruthless steps, but in the end neither she nor Obama win the gold.\u2019 She has to take both of them out in order to keep Obama from winning, she will do that, extra-ruthless steps. We are not surprised, are we, ladies and gentlemen? We predicted this right here. I use the ‘we\u2019 in a journalistic license way, Mr. Snerdley. <\/p>\n
