RUSH: Kansas City, Missouri, Yvonne. You\u2019re next. I\u2019m glad you waited.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We love you here in Kansas City. Wish you would come back.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you know, I have a lot of friends in Kansas City, and I have been back periodically, but I do it on the down low.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. Right. Well, the reason I\u2019m calling is I think sometimes I\u2019m the only woman in the whole country that thinks that Dr. Ford\u2019s testimony was not credible, that her whole demeanor and her body language, it was just so rehearsed and coached. From the way she acted behind the microphone like she had never seen one before in her life… Her voice was quivering and I don\u2019t mean to sound cruel, but, I mean, that was… I can\u2019t believe that, you know, an intelligent and well-educated world traveler, public speaker, can get behind a microphone and act like it\u2019s like she was just the most frail and wilted flower in the world, you know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, we had… I didn\u2019t get to this yes. I had an audio sound bite. A Hollywood actress or an actress somewhere that I\u2019ve never heard of did a video impersonation of Dr. Ford, and it was so spot on, and it was exactly… I noticed her speech pattern<\/a>. Those of us whose profession involve the voice know very well the various vocal techniques that professional vocalizers use, and she used to a great effect what is called uptalking or up-speaking, and that means to end every sentence on an up note.<\/p>\n

It promotes the idea that you\u2019re young and innocent and vulnerable, and it\u2019s what you say was the little girl type voice. This Hollywood actress did a perfect impersonation and is being destroyed. She put it on Twitter. She\u2019s being destroyed. She had to apologize for it and tell everybody she supports Dr. Ford, she just was amazed and she wanted to do her impersonation to show her talent, but it got taken down, and I didn\u2019t get a chance to get to the video. Maybe we can drum it up from yesterday\u2019s archive and play it for you.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s a perfect illustration of how she speaks. I have to tell you something. Yvonne, you\u2019re not the only woman who doesn\u2019t believe her. The female prosecutor the Republicans hired, Rachel Mitchell, has put together a devastating forensic analysis of Dr. Ford\u2019s testimony, and it is… I\u2019ve got that here, but it prints out to eight pages. There\u2019s no way I can… I mean, I guess I could share various excerpts of it with you. But, I mean, it is just devastating on the substance. Forget the way she spoke and how she appeared and so forth. And the Democrats are acknowledging it as (impression) \u201cWell, she\u2019s partisan. We can\u2019t we can\u2019t take seriously a thing that that woman says.\u201d And they\u2019re so rejecting it. But, no, you\u2019re not the only one, Yvonne, who has your opinion.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And, you know, I just didn\u2019t buy it for a minute. I really did (unintelligible) little, you know… That\u2019s what she wanted us to believe she was. And also in her testimony, we watched it all day long. We just couldn\u2019t get away from it. But her testimony, when she was talking about going into the Safeway store with the mother, she went into the store at another door, and then she confronted or she saw this Judge —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — character that said at… Okay, she said she went up to him and said hi and was friendly and how he just acted like he didn\u2019t want to have anything to do with her.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Why would you do that? If he had just done what he supposedly had done just a few weeks earlier and it traumatized you, why would you go up to him and try to be a friend, then? You know, nobody has touched on that, and I thought, that\u2019s crazy!<\/p>\n

RUSH: I did it…Just to show you\u2019re not alone on this, Yvonne, I had a caller yesterday or maybe Friday, that made the exact point that if you really have been traumatized by a guy and you see him in the Safeway, you don\u2019t, you don\u2019t run up and say hi. In fact —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Go the opposite —<\/p>\n

\"\"RUSH: Not even that. I know people who won\u2019t even talk to people they\u2019ve broken up with! See somebody nearby that they broke up with a year ago, six months… I don\u2019t want to go. I don\u2019t want to see that person. By the way, the use… Her saying “Safeway” is very, very important, folks, where she saw Judge, \u2019cause Judge has written a book. It\u2019s part of his recovery therapy for drug addiction and alcoholism and depression, and he was told by the therapist to write a book, not a memoir, but to write a book about his problems, and he placed himself in Safeway stores as an employee.<\/p>\n

So she just happens to say she runs into him in a Safeway. And it\u2019s thought that that was strategy after having read his book that it would give Ford credibility to cite the fact that she saw him in a Safeway store since he had written about it. It was designed to give herself proof or some measure of proof. But, Yvonne, you\u2019re not alone, and you\u2019re right on the money to out of this. We were able to get the audio of the actress impersonating Dr. Ford.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll notice here the uptick. I\u2019m not gonna mention the actress\u2019s name because she\u2019s taken this down and she\u2019s getting a lot of heat and I had never heard of her anyway. I\u2019m not trying to insult her here, I just had not hurried of her. But I don\u2019t want to mention her name and cause her any more grief, but she did her imitation of Christine Blasey Ford and this is it<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ACTRESS: I don\u2019t know if anybody is listening to the Dr. Blasey Ford testimony about Brett Kavanaugh, but this is how I sound. I know it\u2019s a surprise to even me that I talk this way and I\u2019m a doctor and a grown woman. I sound like I\u2019m still back at that high school party. Um, I can\u2019t help it. I just have this kind of a voice, like a baby, even though I\u2019m a doctor, and I\u2019m on this media circus political stage, and I have kids myself that I don\u2019t know why I speak with vocal fry (sic), but you can listen to my testimony and hear that a grown woman sounds this way, Dr. Blasey Ford, thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s… I mean, that\u2019s so spot on, you\u2019d think it\u2019s her! And that woman, Twitter destroyed her; so she\u2019s pulled that down. But you notice, you hear the uptick there. It is said that this is how valley girls, California valley girls speak. It\u2019s not just them. It\u2019s young girls, teenage girls sound this. And very vulnerable. That\u2019s key to this. The key to Blasey Ford\u2019s speech pattern was sounding vulnerable and scared and just totally innocent and, (impression of Christine Blasey Ford), “Why am I here? I, I, I think sooooo. I, I, I\u2019m not suuuuure,” and it just works. It makes you think that whoever you\u2019re hearing is scared to death, is very vulnerable; couldn\u2019t possibly be lying.<\/p>\n
