So now we know: six-and-a-half inches is too much. Too big.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s triggering a backlash. New York Times writer Zeynep Tufekci says women like her with small hands \u201care stuck with something they can\u2019t hold and constantly risk dropping.\u201d British journalist Caroline Perez says the big device is too large for her grip, and gave her a repetitive strain injury.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s science, folks! A 2015 study showed that the average man\u2019s hand is an inch larger than a woman\u2019s. And every inch matters with Big Phone design. British MP Jess Phillips complains, \u201cthe default standard\u201d in technology \u201cis always that which suits a man.\u201c<\/p>\n
Including men\u2019s pockets. According to an August 2018 survey of denim brands, the big iPhone won\u2019t fit into 60 percent of women\u2019s jeans pockets. So it\u2019s time to end male pocket dominance!<\/p>\n
