RUSH: Back to the phones we go. We have Kathryn here in Hillsdale, Michigan, which is where Hillsdale College<\/a> happens to be. How you doing, Kathryn?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, doing good, Rush. How are you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Fine and dandy. Thank you much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just wanted to, first off, thank you so much, because one of the biggest reasons that I attend Hillsdale College<\/a> is because my parents are both lifetime listeners of the Rush Limbaugh Show. And it was because my public school education up through high school failed me that I was looking for a real education that I could get somewhere that was based in American ideals.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re 19. Does that mean you\u2019re a freshman?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m a sophomore.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Sophomore. Do you notice how well-spoken she is, folks? This is something you don\u2019t hear in American youth that much anymore. You are brilliantly well-spoken. You\u2019re articulate, you sound very confident. I\u2019m not surprised at all that you\u2019re at Hillsdale.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you so much, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re welcome.<\/p>\n

CALLER: One of the things that I really wanted to talk to you about today is the importance of 9\/11 and never forgetting it, because I know at Hillsdale College we have a lot of 19- through 20, 22-year-old students who weren\u2019t around or were too young, like I was, to remember that event, but every year we put out hundreds of American flags on our quad, and we have speakers from people who were there, who remember that event so strongly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I understand. You plant a bunch of flags, and you have speakers address the student body throughout the day to explain the importance of the event and relate it to your curriculum, your education ongoing at Hillsdale, correct?<\/p>\n

CALLER: We do. Absolutely.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And no excuses are made. You\u2019re told the truth about it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We are.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Well, I think it\u2019s great. I\u2019m glad you called, Kathryn. Thank you very much. And I appreciate your nice words. I really do. Hillsdale College<\/a> really is a throwback. It\u2019s what everybody used to think going off to college was.
