RUSH: This is Patricia, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, nice to have you on the program. I know it\u2019s Sault Ste. Marie, I just wanted to pronounce it as it\u2019s spelled. How are you?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Fine, thank you, sir. How are you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Never better.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Don\u2019t you hate when people always ask you that, though, Rush, how are you every call, or does that, you know, not bother you all?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, they say, ‘Hey, Rush, how are you? I just wanted to tell you –‘ they never let me answer, yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, I wondered what you thought about that. I thought they were concerned about your highs and your lows sometimes on the phone, which is why they always ask you about that. But Rush, you are on one of my all-time, top-ten favorite male names list, and dittos from a blue state deep in the red.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you. Thanks very much. I\u2019m glad to be on somebody\u2019s top-ten name list.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Favorite male names list. Rush, I have a comment on a caller\u2019s remark and an answer to your question as to how Hillary can stop Bill from himself. On Tuesday you received a call from a really nice woman who seemed to be somewhat surprised that men, but in particular angry white men, weren\u2019t supportive of Hillary. You know, she, in essence, at least my in opinion, she should — I guess she was saying men should be more sympathetic towards Mrs. Clinton, and I just didn\u2019t feel that way at all. I certainly don\u2019t believe that Mrs. Clinton should be rewarded with anyone\u2019s vote simply because she made a calculating political decision to stand by her guy, and let\u2019s not forget that the so-called ardent supporter of women and women\u2019s rights chose, and I say chose, at the expense of us sisters, to bury her head in the sand for years as her husband continued —<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s not just that. It\u2019s not just that. When you sit there and say to me, ardent supporters of women\u2019s rights, look at all the women she tried to destroy in the bimbo eruptions and threatened. It\u2019s laughable. I understand Bill Clinton is a father and he\u2019s trying to make hay out of this David Shuster comment about the Clintons sending Chelsea out and using the pimp word in describing it, and Clinton says, ‘I gotta stand up for this. Somebody\u2019s gotta stand up for young women. Somebody has to stand up for young girls and the abuse that they\u2019re –‘ of all people, you should know. And nobody calls him on this. It\u2019s like a hands-off kind of thing.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But just as Bill\u2019s lies and sexual abuse towards women should not be tolerated and rewarded, so, too, Mrs. Clinton\u2019s lies and abuse towards women should not be tolerated and rewarded with votes. And, secondly, if you take Bill\u2019s baggage out of the equation, I think that Hillary is less toxic. Now, she may be a very nice person outside the political arena, but the reality is most people just don\u2019t care for Mrs. Clinton because of her political views and her constant angry, anti-American ugly-speak and anti-Bush hate rhetoric, and this is what Obama is capitalizing on. This is what the Obama drama is all about.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You started out asking, you referenced a call earlier this week from the woman who wanted to know why so many men, white men, are angry at Hillary.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hm-hm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And I think, sure, there\u2019s a policy component to it, but it goes way beyond that. You have to understand — don\u2019t make me explain this to you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Is it racial?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No. No. No. We\u2019re talking about Hillary here. It\u2019s not that she\u2019s not black enough. We\u2019re talking about white men and their fear, loathing, dislike, there\u2019s no denying it exists. I mean, her disapproval numbers are at 49%, and there\u2019s a reason for it. A lot of it is attitudinal. She reminds men of the worst characteristics of women they\u2019ve encountered: totally controlling, not soft and cuddly, not sympathetic, not patient, not understanding, demanding, domineering, Nurse Ratched kind of thing. Everything you do you have to do behind her back, that kind of thing, and then after all of that with Mrs. Clinton with the characteristics I just described, with the flick of a light switch, all of a sudden she\u2019s a victim of evil men and bad Republicans, and she starts crying and she wants sympathy. She\u2019s a classic manipulator. Nobody wants to be manipulated especially in a circumstance where they have no choice, they can\u2019t get out of it; when the only way to have peace is to be manipulated. But nobody wants to walk around looking over their shoulder, walking on eggshells, making sure that there\u2019s not an eruption just because you\u2019re being who you are. This is how she\u2019s seen.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, then how could somebody like Obama handle it if the ticket were Clinton-Obama, how could he handle being under Hillary, under those circumstances?<\/p>\n

RUSH: You mean as vice president? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Or in a sexual sense?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. I can\u2019t even see — I hate that picture. Don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You mean as vice president?<\/p>\n

CALLER: As vice president, yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, look, whoever is Hillary\u2019s vice president may as well move to an igloo. You talk about attending funerals, there is going to be a whole new role, and it\u2019s going to have nothing to do with anything that could get any credit whatsoever for what Hillary\u2019s administration is doing, and that\u2019s why I don\u2019t think Obama would take it. I just don\u2019t. That\u2019s all premature. It\u2019s really kind of silly to start speculating, guessing. The real question is, would Hillary accept the veep?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, no, you just said earlier that the expectation is that Hillary will probably end up with it no matter what because of her, well, connections, if you will.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, the superdelegates and the — yes. Look, the fear of the Clintons is palpable. It was no lie that they had people\u2019s FBI files. Look at the people they know, the gazillionaires, of the billionaires, they\u2019ve got a network of people that can bring a world of hurt to people that get out of line. We\u2019ve heard stories in this campaign from members of the Senate during Bill Clinton\u2019s first term when Hillary was in charge of health care, and she\u2019d go up and she would talk to some of these Democrats in the Senate and in the house and they would tell her you can\u2019t get it done this way. ‘You just can\u2019t come up here and ram this through. That\u2019s not how it works. Even though we\u2019re all in the same party, you just can\u2019t do this,\u2019 and forgetting the specifics and the quotes, but Hillary would say, very insulting, ‘You are nothing in this party.\u2019 That\u2019s how she talks to people. Jeff Gerth and Van Natta have written a book about this, Carl Bernstein, I don\u2019t think he delves so much into that area, but Van Natta and Gerth did, but some of the stories, the way she has treated — everybody is the little people to Mrs. Clinton. They\u2019re no more than insects to be swatted out of the way or squashed if they get in the way and don\u2019t get out of the way. That\u2019s the image people have of her.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, Rush, aside from the power trip, then, you know that she just wants a second chance to clean up Bill\u2019s r&eacute;sum&eacute; and to rewrite her own legacy, what else is there?<\/p>\n

RUSH: She doesn\u2019t care about Bill\u2019s legacy except to the extent it would — <\/p>\n

CALLER: It reflects on her.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but there are two ways to look at this. One is that this is actually his third term, but he\u2019s not constitutionally allowed, so this is an unelected third term for Bill Clinton, because if they win, he\u2019s going to be around. Mrs. Clinton\u2019s promised there won\u2019t be any other scandals and so forth involving him. The other way to look at it is, and it\u2019s one of those two, and I vacillate, I go back and forth on what it is that\u2019s motivating these people. For some reason, gut instinct here, I keep coming back to the fact that this whole thing is about her now, and she doesn\u2019t care how she gets there. She doesn\u2019t care if she needs Bill and his last name and him out there campaigning, just getting there because she is owed this. She gave up her life for this guy. She could have had — in her mind, now — she could have had other own identity as Hillary Rodham. She could have had her own this, her own that. She wouldn\u2019t have had to trek on down to Arkansas being humiliated with nightclub singers showing up in the governor\u2019s mansion and so forth, having to look the other way to make sure this guy\u2019s career didn\u2019t get destroyed because that\u2019s the only way her career was going to go anywhere is if his remained viable. This is payback. <\/p>\n

I\u2019ll tell you, when I look at all of this, and I look at Mrs. Clinton, and I say, what in the world is it that recommends her for this job in the first place, if not for the fact that a lot of Democrats and a lot of people in the media who are of their generation believe this whole scenario that she\u2019s owed this because she paid her dues; she saved the presidency for the Democrats; she saved the Democrat Party; she has been in the trenches; she is owed this. Hillary Rodham gave it all up to become Hillary Clinton, and look what it got her, and this is payback. Plus, you couple it with the fact that she\u2019s almost got an ownership on this. I don\u2019t know how to adequately, accurately explain this, because I don\u2019t think most people are capable of having the kind of ambition that the Clintons have to run the country, to own it, be in the White House, the Oval Office, and this sort of thing. So it\u2019s hard to convey it in a way that people understand. You get lost if you think that the Clintons want this for the betterment of the country, and that they really care about people, and that Hillary\u2019s worked for 35 years on all these children\u2019s issues. This is all just bunk. That\u2019s just the sales technique. <\/p>\n

This is strictly about raw power. It is about liberalism and socialism being marched onward, unabated with nobody to stop them, and this is their last chance to get it done. If they don\u2019t win it this time, then they\u2019re out. You couple all of this, and you\u2019ve got a sense of entitlement, a sense of desperation, a sense of desire for this, a thirst. It\u2019s beyond any kind of hunger, desire, passion, or thirst you can imagine in your own on life. Trust me on this. Don\u2019t doubt me. As such, nothing\u2019s going to stand in their way. They\u2019re going to figure out how to go after Obama, but they won\u2019t do it with the superdelegates in the Florida-Michigan delegations as well. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
