CALLER: Good morning, sir. And thank you for 30 years of a free education. You couldn\u2019t possibly be more right if you were God himself. Us Trump supporters can\u2019t wait to get to the polls.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. I think this is gonna shock — we shouldn\u2019t talk about this too loudly.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Oh, shh. Quiet.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, because I\u2019ve got evidence, I mean, I\u2019ve got sound bites \u2019cause the Drive-Bys are listening. Do you realize I\u2019m still being blamed for the fact that there\u2019s no Walter Cronkite in America today? It happened at another symposium recently, I get blamed because there\u2019s no media monopoly. So they occasionally listen. But I think, you know, you\u2019re right. You\u2019re chomping at the bit. Do you know anybody that voted for Trump who is lackadaisical and hum-ho and fed up, not thinking of voting in November?<\/p>\n
CALLER: No, sir, I do not. Everybody is aware, awake, and ready.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Why?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Why? Because we want to prove the media wrong. We want to support the president who\u2019s doing what he actually said during the campaign he would do. Now, he\u2019s not conventional, but he\u2019s getting the job done.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Speaking of getting the job done, there\u2019s a new Harris poll out there today. I first saw it referenced by Kellyanne Conway. And it is a survey of many things, including blue-collar workers — oh. Oh, folks. We have a new GDP number today too. The economy grew 4.2% in the last month. Remember all of the experts claiming that that 4.1% was just a one-off? It was an outlier? It didn\u2019t mean anything?<\/p>\n
Well, 4.1 has become 4.2. That looks like sustainable. But the Harris poll, blue-collar workers are thriving in the Trump economy. Fifty-five percent say they\u2019re better off than five years ago. Eighty-five percent, “My life is heading in the right direction.” Eighty-eight percent of parents, blue-collar parents, “My kids are gonna have a better future. These people know full well that this stuff stops the minute the Democrats get back in power. They are not gonna stay home. Blue-collar, the little guy, Trump apparently owns them.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. You know, you were talking the first hour about the media and how they are really kind of really p-ing off the base here and encouraging them to vote, and I think you are hitting the nail on the head. And if they really wanted to lull us into a false sense of security and keep us at home, which we have proven in the past that we know how to do, they would tell the truth about Trump and his successes. But I don\u2019t think they could ever bring themselves to do that with 70 days to go to this midterm election, they\u2019re not gonna change their tactics now. So
\nI think we are energized.<\/p>\n
RUSH: That\u2019s an excellent point. It\u2019s interesting to me the psychology, to study the psychology of this. Because here you have the entirety of the Drive-By or mainstream media. And I\u2019ve always said, if you miss NBC, no biggie; turn on CBS. If you miss that, you still got time to turn on CBS. If you miss that, turn on CNN. And if you miss that, read the New York Times. If you miss that, read the Washington Post. And just go on down the list. It\u2019s all the same. No matter who\u2019s writing, no matter who\u2019s opining, it\u2019s all the same.<\/p>\n
And they are unified on opinion, and their reporting on Donald Trump is likewise unified, and it is filled with predictable elements: hate, rage, anger, extremism, lies, distortions. And it\u2019s interesting to me that they live in such a bubble that they do not, apparently, have the slightest bit of concern that all of that extremism and lying and unfairness and unbalance and all of the viciousness to Trump is not going to have any impact on his voters! Common sense should tell them that they are keeping Trump\u2019s voters revved up, that they are keeping them engaged.<\/p>\n
But they don\u2019t think that. They think that they are depressing you. They think that they are dispiriting you. They think that their constant haranguing, their never ending distortions, their outright hatred for Trump will prove to you that you can\u2019t beat them, that you can\u2019t overpower them. No matter what good news is out there, they can ruin it for you. They hope to depress you and keep you from the polls. They haven\u2019t the slightest idea how what they\u2019re doing is actually affecting people, even though they have the evidence of 2016, which they don\u2019t even consult.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Great. Thank you for taking my call.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I\u2019ve been listening to you this morning talking about how the news media\u2019s gonna keep people interested by, you know, putting out the propaganda they put out. I wanted to tell you, I\u2019m just pissed completely over the years, I am an AFL-CIO member, industrial electrician, 33 years, and all I\u2019ve heard out of my Democratic buddies was how great the Democrats were for us. And then we got this 1% was the new “get used to it” growth rubbed into our face. In my line of work I watched all these factories closing, and our work was dwindling. Unionism has dwindled down to nothing, and the Democrats have pissed me off irregardless of what the crap the news media puts out. The Democratic Party has made me so mad you can\u2019t see straight, I\u2019m through with \u2019em.<\/p>\n
RUSH: How long have you been a Democrat? Before they ticked you off, how long were you a voting Democrat?<\/p>\n
CALLER: At least 30 years.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Ho! Ho! Thirty years, and they pissed you off enough that you are through with them?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m through with them. I\u2019m through with their lies. I mean, it\u2019s just constant. They fed us a line of propaganda, and they turned their back on the working man. And for some reason, they want to go back to that. And when I heard Obama talking about “get used to that 1%,” that 1% growth, that was it. And there were other things involved there, too, but that one really just —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah. Get used to the 1%, and when your mom gets close to dying, give her a pill, that\u2019s the best we can do for her. All this stuff with America in decline. What good would that do you?<\/p>\n
CALLER: It wouldn\u2019t do me any good. This guy we have as the president right now, in my opinion, is the George Patton of politics. He is exactly what we need. We need some arrogance in there. We need a guy who\u2019s gonna do the job and set us in the right direction and get the job done. And that is our present president. And I\u2019m glad that we have him, and I\u2019ll be there. And I can\u2019t wait \u2019til November, I\u2019ll be voting for anybody that\u2019s for him.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Right on!<\/p>\n
CALLER: Straight Republican.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Right on. That\u2019s Bill in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Bill, there\u2019s a new Harris poll out today of blue-collar people, and it is over the top positive for Trump in terms of people and their feelings about the future for their kids. Eighty-five percent feel great about it. Fifty-five percent are saying they\u2019re doing better than they have in many, many years. And they chalk it all up to Donald Trump. He\u2019s a blue-collar electrician, he\u2019s a testament to it. This is the kind of people the media is missing. This the kind of people the media used to take for granted as just count-on-\u2019em Democrat voters, blue-collar, union. That meant they hate Republicans. It meant they hate companies, they hate CEOs, hate corporations. ‘Cause the Democrats are out there looking out for the little guy.<\/p>\n
He took his awn dues, gave it to the Democrat Party to run campaigns and so forth. And then as he said, here came Barack Obama (imitating Obama), “I don\u2019t know what you think we\u2019re gonna do to bring those jobs back, but our job now is to retrain you for new work \u2019cause those jobs are not coming back. And anybody that tells you that this economy can grow 3%, they\u2019re lying to you. Not in the current moment with world economics and climate change the way it is.” And it\u2019s not what people want to hear.<\/p>\n
