And there was no pushback on that from conservatives on the panel. Now, folks, I\u2019m gonna tell you:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-282524\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/App-Reporter-Round-up-murder.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/App-Reporter-Round-up-murder.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/App-Reporter-Round-up-murder-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>If I had ever said something like that about Barack Obama, that might have been the end of this program. It might have been, if people thought that I meant it, and if I had said something like that. But here is a New York Times infobabe all over MSNBC saying it and it\u2019s simply &#8220;Rush, come on. She\u2019s just trying to fire up the base.&#8221; You think so? Of course they\u2019re trying to fire up the base. You don\u2019t think she really believes it? Why would she be saying this stuff? But for there to be no pushback against that, that Trump wants to round people up and murder them.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay. Let me set the table here. This is Friday night, MSNBC. The name of the program, Meet the Press Daily. And they\u2019re talking about Trump\u2019s criticism of Mueller. Katy Tur, T-u-r, is the Fill-In Host. We have Michelle Goldberg, who\u2019s a columnist for the New York Times. Real Clear Politics national political reporter Caitlin Huey-Burns, and Commentary magazine editor John Podhoretz. And it begins with Caitlin Huey-Burns, national political reporter of the Real Clear Politics website.<\/p>\n<p>HUEY-BURNS: This is the most vocal president, at least in real time, that we\u2019ve had in recent memory, right? He is the leader of the free world.<\/p>\n<p>GOLDBERG: Oh, no, he\u2019s not. Not the leader of the free world. But sorry. (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>PODHORETZ: By default he\u2019s the leader of the free world.<\/p>\n<p>GOLDBERG: Angela Merkel is the leader of the free world. But &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>TUR: Well, he\u2019s the most important person &#8212;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oYA5GNj4DUE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: All right, now, Mike, stop this and put it back, because I need to tell you, the second voice you hear is Michelle Goldberg of the New York Times, the woman who says, &#8220;Oh, no, he\u2019s not, he\u2019s not the leader of the free world, Angela Merkel is.&#8221; That\u2019s Michelle Goldberg of the New York Times. Trump\u2019s not the leader of the free world. He can\u2019t be because Trump doesn\u2019t believe in freedom. This is where this is headed. Are we ready for this from the top yet again? Okay, here we go in three, two, one.<\/p>\n<p>HUEY-BURNS: This is the most vocal president, at least in real time, that we\u2019ve had in recent memory, right? He is the leader of the free world.<\/p>\n<p>GOLDBERG: Oh, no, he\u2019s not. Not the leader of the free world. But sorry. But &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>HUEY-BURNS: Well, he is the most important person in the world in politics right now, and he is very vocal, and I do agree with you that this does express a level of exasperation among his aides that they can\u2019t have any control over &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>TUR: Your argument that he\u2019s not leader of the free world because he\u2019s not standing up for democracy &#8212; (crosstalk)<\/p>\n<p>GOLDBERG: He\u2019s a sort of junior player in a bloc of authoritarian countries.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: There you have it. Michelle Goldberg says he\u2019s not the leader of the free world because he\u2019s sort of a junior player in a bloc of authoritarian countries. So what is she thinking of? What is an authoritarian county in her world? Venezuela is not. What is an authoritarian country in her mind? Anyway, Trump can\u2019t qualify as a leader of the free world because he\u2019s authoritarian.<\/p>\n<p>These people are just genuinely insane. So it picks up again here with Katy Tur then saying, &#8220;So you\u2019re saying&#8221; &#8212; and it\u2019s Michelle Goldberg that will reply here &#8212; &#8220;you\u2019re saying that people like the European Union are no longer looking at Trump as a leader and they\u2019re thinking of doing their own thing?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-264773\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/APP-msnbc-BANNED-Lifted.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/APP-msnbc-BANNED-Lifted.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/APP-msnbc-BANNED-Lifted-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>GOLDBERG: Right, they see instead he\u2019s like, right, he\u2019s part of a bloc that includes Vladimir Putin, Duterte. He\u2019s, you know, he\u2019s part of kind of an axis of power&#8230; (crosstalk)<\/p>\n<p>TUR: Well, hold on&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>PODHORETZ: If he\u2019s not the leader of the free world &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>TUR: He\u2019s not rounding people up and murdering them&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>PODHORETZ: Yeah. (crosstalk)<\/p>\n<p>TUR: &#8212; without any, you know, due process.<\/p>\n<p>GOLDBERG: He\u2019d certainly like to.<\/p>\n<p>TUR: Well&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>PODHORETZ: Well, anyway&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>TUR: I don\u2019t think you can say that definitively, Michelle&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>PODHORETZ: Anyway, I do think that if he\u2019s not the leader of the free world there is no leader of the free world. There is no world order without the most important, richest, and most powerful country in the world trying to maintain some semblance&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>GOLDBERG: Okay, but it\u2019s the sort of country where, say, like Saudi Arabia can intimidate Canada for sending out a tweet about its human rights record.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I\u2019m sorry. I can\u2019t keep up. This is what the poison of hatred does to people. It makes them incoherent. It embarrasses them except they don\u2019t know it. And it was Katy Tur who said, &#8220;Well, wait, he\u2019s not, like, rounding people up and murdering them.&#8221; And Podesta weakly said, &#8220;Yeah.&#8221; And Tur said, &#8220;Yeah, without any, you know, due process.&#8221; And Goldberg said, &#8220;Well, he\u2019d certainly like to. He\u2019d certainly like to.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So, an opinion writer for the New York Times plainly says on TV that the president of the United States would like to round people up and murder them, like Putin does and like Duterte. For those of you in Rio Linda, this is this the madman over in the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>Honestly, folks, you don\u2019t know what to do with this other than try to laugh at it. You wonder, you\u2019ve got a so-called conservative on this panel who does not react or object in much of any way to any of this other than to defend the fact that any president is the leader of the free world.<\/p>\n<p>So I had to lift the ban. You know, we have a ban on MSNBC because we contributed to their ratings, and I said I can\u2019t have that. We kept playing sound bites of some of their Looney Toon O\u2019Tune hosts years ago. I said I cannot be responsible for that network\u2019s rating increase; so we yanked, banned them and so forth.
