I have a question for you about Martin Luther King.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: If he were alive today, and assuming &#8212; I guess this question assumes he would vote Democratic &#8212; who do you think he would support for president?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I haven\u2019t the foggiest idea. That\u2019s not possible to know. But I can say with relative confidence that if you listen to the things Martin Luther King said, not just in his &#8216;I Have a Dream\u2019 speech, but the things he said outside that speech and all the other appearances, things he was fighting for, he would be outraged today to see what has become of the black family. He would be outraged to see what has become of the Democrat Party and the way it is pandering and treating black voters in this country. I think it\u2019s safe to assume that he would be outraged that people like Shelby Steele, Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice, and Colin Powell, others of profound career achievement would be ridiculed, destroyed, or attempted to be destroyed. I think he\u2019d be outraged. So I don\u2019t know that it\u2019s safe to assume he would be a Democrat today. As to whom he would be supporting, it\u2019s impossible to hazard a guess on something like that.
