CALLER: It is Elizabethton, Rush. I just wanted to call you and thank you for making my wife\u2019s Christmas shopping so easy. In 31 years of marriage, I can only remember one Christmas present I get, and that\u2019s Rush 24\/7. My wife and kids fight over who gets to give it, and, I\u2019ll tell you what: Ladies out there, you know how you feel about diamonds? Now you know how we feel about Rush! Your old man, give \u2019em that. <\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s the one thing that all year long — all year long! I got stuff. I can\u2019t remember what I got last year. I can\u2019t remember what I got two years ago, but I know that it is the gift that does keep on giving. So every time you put on them diamonds, ladies, think about your old man; give \u2019em Rush 24\/7 and I guarantee you, throughout the year he\u2019s going to tell you thanks. That\u2019s all there is to it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (sigh) You know, it\u2019s very sweet of you to say that. It\u2019s very nice. I gotta tell you, you embarrass me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You need to be embarrassed once in a while.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I have to work. We talk about Rush 24\/7 during the commercial aspects of the program, during the commercial breaks, but I don\u2019t spend a lot of time (no offense to the Huckabee people) huckstering it, because I like to devote time to the issues and so forth. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I mention it now and then. It\u2019s the same thing with my newsletter. I just have this… I don\u2019t know, this little block about saying, ‘Hey, folks, I got this great website and newsletter, and you should buy it!\u2019 I just feel weird.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, let me tell \u2019em! Let me tell \u2019em. It\u2019s the truth. <\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughs)<\/p>\n

CALLER: I can go in any time I want, and I can pick up what happens earlier that day any time I want, when I need to get my feet rooted back again in reality. I can do it when I want, but as I do, I remember who gave it to me.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s not just that. Don\u2019t stop there. Now you\u2019re on a roll.<\/p>\n
