RUSH: Mark in Fort Worth, Texas, is next, and it\u2019s your turn. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello, Rush. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to make the host look good this afternoon. I wanted to take events of the last 72 hours and dovetail them with what you\u2019ve been preaching to us for about the last two years, and that is that the media\u2019s number one priority is separating Trump voters from Trump. In the last 72 hours, the cacophony from the left and the media has been so outrageous in part because I think the Kavanaugh decision, along with what Trump is doing at NATO, do nothing but solidify and validate the vote of Trump voters.<\/p>\n

\"\"Ones who might have held their nose at the polls and said, “I don\u2019t necessarily like everything about him, but the Supreme Court is important to me, and America\u2019s standing up in the world is important to me.” In 72 hours, he has affirmed and validated all of those voters who voted for him and I think these last 72 hours are probably the most important three days heading up to the 2020 election. Because there are millions of people across the country who are nodding their heads every time they see a report about Kavanaugh and about NATO, and they\u2019re saying, “That\u2019s exactly why I voted for this guy.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. I think you\u2019re right — and the media, of course, is missing it. The media thinks the exact opposite is happening. They think —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Like CNN today spent the whole morning bashing Trump as somebody out of place, and doesn\u2019t know what he\u2019s doing, embarrassing the United States on the world stage at NATO, and they think Trump voters are gonna see it the same way and start regretting the way they voted for Trump. These people have no idea. It\u2019s amazing to me — and you\u2019re right about this. It\u2019s amazing just from a professional standpoint.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a political consultant, political professional at all, and you\u2019re on the losing side of an election that you thought you were gonna win in a landslide, it would seem to me that the first thing that you would want to do is find out who it is that beat you. “Who are these people that voted for Trump, and how did we miss \u2019em? How did this happen? Why did our polling not show that Trump was this popular?” They haven\u2019t done that at all. They\u2019ve made no effort to understand the Trump voter in whatever state.<\/p>\n

They have made no effort to understand why they can\u2019t break this bond that exists between Trump and his voters. They continue to condescend to these people. They continue. Either on MSNBC or CNN or in the pages of the New York Times or Washington Post, they continue to mock them, make fun of them, provoke them, insult them, what have you. All the while doing news stories in such a way that they really believe that they\u2019re going to separate Trump\u2019s voters from Trump.<\/p>\n

But this is the one thing that has amazed me, this lack of desire to even try to understand who these people are and why they voted for Trump. But that, I think, is representative of the cultural divide that exists. Those people that voted for Trump are held in such contempt, the Democrats and the Never Trumpers on the Republican side don\u2019t even want to get to know \u2019em. They don\u2019t want to understand \u2019em. They\u2019re not important enough. And clearly if they voted for Trump, they\u2019re not worth developing.<\/p>\n

In other words, ways have to be found to beat them and overcome them, but not persuade them and talk them, you know, into abandoning Trump. Well, I don\u2019t know, but that just doesn\u2019t seem to make much sense in the world of politics. I\u2019ll tell you, folks, I\u2019ve made this prediction once. I\u2019m gonna make it again here. It\u2019s a long, long-term prediction. This is nothing rooted in any particular conspiracy theory I\u2019ve heard, because I don\u2019t ascribe to those. But it is becoming clear… Believe me; do not doubt me on this.<\/p>\n

\"\"It\u2019s becoming clear to the left that the only thing standing in their way now is elections. I saw on a newscast, a cable newscast… No. Take it back. It was a primetime TV show that airs on CBS All Access, and it was a fiction show, but it was rooted in current events. And one of the characters on this show was portraying you the chairmanship the Democrat National Committee. They were talking to a law firm that they wanted to hire to help impeach Trump. This is how the story went. This character played, by the way, by Margo Martindale. She was in Justified, was in The Americans, was in a bunch of things.<\/p>\n

She was telling everybody about we have to win 2018. We have to win. We have to win. We have to. Now, obviously that\u2019s a mantra. But the way she said it, it made me realize: One of these days these people gonna realize that the only thing stopping them here is elections. If they can find a way around that, then they don\u2019t need to worry about appealing to people or getting out the vote or coming up with ways to convince people to vote. If you look at the way the radical left is going with this intolerant bullying and intimidation of anybody who disagrees with \u2019em, and the desire to stop any expression of any alternative view or way of thinking?<\/p>\n

That has a natural conclusion. If you\u2019re gonna shut people up, if you\u2019re gonna bully \u2019em, if you are a gonna shut \u2019em down, if you\u2019re gonna make sure they cannot be heard say on a college campus or in a public protest — if you\u2019re gonna make sure they can\u2019t be heard in the classroom or on Facebook or Twitter — then how far is it down the road where you don\u2019t want them to be heard at the ballot box? Now, I don\u2019t think this is happening next year or the next 10 years, but who knows?<\/p>\n

But I\u2019m telling you that they\u2019re gonna start thinking this way, because in their perverted worldview, the biggest problem they have right now is they\u2019re losing elections. And their way of thinking is, “Well, we got a get rid of elections then.” If elections are the problem, rather than figuring how to win \u2019em since that\u2019s becoming problematic for \u2019em, “We just gotta find a way to get rid of \u2019em.” Do not laugh. This may happen some years down the road long after we\u2019re all gone, and I hope somebody remembers that this was uttered as a potential possibility way back when in the early 2000s.<\/p>\n

What do you think open borders, mass amnesty is about? If American citizens won\u2019t vote for you, then make sure a bunch of people get into the country who will. Don\u2019t doubt me on this, folks. These people have such an entitlement and quest for power that leaving it up to public opinion among a bunch of dolts and uninformed, uneducated hicks?<\/p>\n
